It's my first time ever road tripping to Baguio! Before I say anything else, I apologize for my cringy pronunciation of Baguio (Bag-yo!). Tonight, so begins the collaboration of Teddy Sage x Haley Dasovich travel vlogs, next stop the mountain city BAGUIO! This city is known for its rich history, culture, and best of all, foggy weather. It's rare to see fog in the Philippines, so this will surely be a treat for this San Francisco native.

I'm super fascinated by the weaving factory. It reminds me of how my grandparents migrate to Hawaii and started their own tailoring shop to support my dad and his siblings. It's been over 40 years, and the shop is still run by my grandma and grandpa in downtown Honolulu.
Baguio is great! Been there a couple of times and loved it every time. When I went they were having their flower festival. The only thing I did not like was the long bus ride. Have fun, Haley and thanks for sharing!

overnight bus rides are so fun! I rode it once going from Cambodia -> Vietnam !!

You should go and explore also the Southside of the PH such as Mati City, Tagum City, Cagayan de Oro, Surigao, Davao City etc..

go to cafe in the sky at 4AM and go further to witness the sunrise. you have to be there that early because they no longer allow you to go up when the guards are awake. Go to Sagada too!!! its much colder there!

Indeed Baguio is a beautiful place. I'm originally from that place, however, just like you living in the US.
Surely, you've been to Seattle and I always compare Baguio to Seattle especially during the rainy season, not to mention the terrain - zigzag, up and down hills, constantly raining, and the pine trees. You feel the ambiance of Baguio in Washington State when you drive from Portland to the main city of the said State - Seattle.

Have you try Filipino street foods? like chicken intestines "isaw", chicken blood "dugo", baby duck "balut", fried orange quail eggs "kwek-kwek or tokneneng", fishball, kikyam and fried pusit "calamares". I suggest you to do a vlog about chibog time filipino street foods! 😂 I think that would be fun. I love you haley 😍😘

You might want to check out the usual tourist places: Burnham Park (ride boats), Mines View Park (for the view), Wright Park (ride horses). You can probably buy ube and strawberry jam at a place near Minesview Park (ask somebody). At the central market beside Session Rd, you can probably buy all sorts of stuff - maybe get some kalamay. What else...Go to Camp John Hay for some coffee at Starbucks. There you go, enjoy!

The first time I ever felt cold in the Philippines was last week. Something weird happened with the weather it was actually cold at nights. :D I'm assuming it's similar in Baguio I would love it.

When I lived in Daly City the first months I moved to SF, September months completely reminded me of Baguio weather back in the 80's ha ha. The running joke was that the fog was because all Filipinos were cooking rice lol. Anyway, Baguio was my second home back in my 20's went to college in University of the Philippines there and remember loving the weather. Hope you enjoyed Baguio!

Hailey from Baguio you can ask the locals and ride a bus to Sagada!!! Take a look at the sea of clouds at Kiltepan Peak! It's more beautiful there. A little unplanned detour wouldn't hurt since you're already up north! Make the most out of it!

night market there is amazing. so many people from diff places. baluts were yummy. Go to Good Sheperd for pasalubong! they have the best jams and other stuff.

I love Baguio. Just be careful if you're gonna sleep in a bus make sure your things are secured. Always take care Hailey. Try to visit Batanes, Ilocos Norte and Zambales also. Not as famous as Palawan and Boracay but very beautiful places.
