As a GSP owner I can’t say I’ve I’ve seen or heard of a GSP with cropped ears. Docked tails yes as my GSP is docked but i think this is misinformation on your part on ear cropping
Cropping the ears of GSP? Where have you seen this? You should reconsider multiplication these videos for different breeds as this is nonsense. Cheers!
Guys, I absolutely appreciate information about this breed, but there would be two points that I, as your audience, would like to take out to those creating these VDOs. 1. You are speaking to connoisseurs - meaning, if I am watching this means I already have/had a GSP and perhaps I wish for specs to hear instead of general info. 2. The most attractive part of a VDO about GSP would be a VDO showing this breed in action. It doesn't have to be filming a training, or hunt - simply put a footage here that I can watch while I am listening. Watching a person talking to the camera is so not representative to those owning and /or loving this breed. Thanks.
If you've ever seen a hard working GSP, you'll notice a few things. When hunting thick cover holding birds, their tails are furiously wagging. As they move through the brush they tend to bruise and split their tails leading to painful open wounds that will not heal, hence docking the tail is a humanitarian modification for the sake of the dog. Cropped ears are an entirely different matter bordering on mutilation. The poor baby GSP is the one which is not able to fulfill their genetic destiny because their masters don't take them hunting or provide other intense activities for them. GSP's are built to work, and they are happiest then.
Tails breaking and bleeding are serious issues we see in vet clinics with people who refuse to dock their GSP tails. If you actually hunt with your dogs, it’s almost inhumane not to dock the tail.
My boy is a Staffy x GSP. Seriously loving and athletic dog

Thought I found a good channel, but turns out I won't be subscribing or watching anymore due to the blatant misinformation on ear cropping.
