Is there an elite version of him, and if no, for better loots (like mainly looking for thorns or legendary weapons) should i increase the difficulty ?

Yep there is an elite version, did it also on the channel to fight him. It drops 100% legendary and above items (ultimate items have lower chance)
Increasing difficulty gets you more gold, xp, and + 1 item drop.
