The author for Haikyuu originally wanted to follow not only Karasuno, but Nekoma as well. As in, having both teams take center stage in their story. You can see the echoes of that here (and more in the manga). Also, Kenma's exhausted face is one of a lot of examples this season of the anime doing a great job highlighting particular faces and moments--Kageyama's "return of the king" face, and Tanaka's face after failing his line shot are some great stand outs.
If you noticed it, Kuro, Kenma's close friend who as Nekoma's leader has a same voice actor with Gojo from JJK. And Kenma has same voice with Eren (you can hear it from little Eren's voice)
I have started Blue Lock and Kuroko no Basket but progessing slowly. Maybe they are not my cup of tea but I still wish to finish them. I have watched Free!, Re-Main and Yuri!!!On Ice (surpringly good) Haikyuu!! is my #1 then, YOI. Slamdunk used to be the longest #1 for me and it’s still a legend.

you mean the third round they still got 5 matches if they beat Inarizaki they got Nekoma in the third round and if they beat them they go into the Quarterfinals
