I'm just a man who's finally made it home Through all the trials and years away from what I've known I'm just a man who's found his peace at last Deep down I'd trade it all to leave behind the past I'm just a man

refrences i caught.. Ody attacking the torches as scylla did odysseus's ensemble like those of poseidon, the other gods, polyphemus him being pissed that his son was threatened, similarly to poseidon who was pissed because ody blinded his son (kinda fair)
@@Regret_Namei think its more because he disfivurwd his son and death would have been a mercy. In times like those disabilities were seen as weak and to be culled (killing disabled babies) so death would jave been seen as a mercy vs lifelong disability
i think some of the choir "o-ddy-se-us" really sounds like "po-ly-phe-mus" well, it's jay, so it's probably intentional to symbolize oddyseus turning into polyphemus; someone who doesn't forgive those who did him wrong.
Not just Polyphemus. Poseidon too. The idea of ruthlessness being the only option. Where having the upper hand doesn't mean folding and showing mercy because you know what will happen with time. The entire journey was to teach such a lesson. Starting with the son of Hector. The one he never wanted to kill but had no choice to.
It is also something to note that all of the big monsters in the story have their names as a song name. Polyphemus, Scylla, Charybdis. So the mirror to the monsters in the story is very intentional.
There's a beauty in Athena realising what a mistake she had made. Where he could have been something else entirely if she allowed him to be more forgiving while still being cunning. Still not as beautiful as Poseidon learning the lesson at the hands of Odysseus himself in this version of the story. The horror of watching the consequences of your own actions come to life is something I will never stop enjoying the taste of. It makes me wonder what my end will be. Old age? Some homeless man throwing a rock because I didn't give him change? Who knows.
Man idk if it just me but I watch all these songs in line with each other. And I felt as if I was watching the movie. These songs really tell a story. I love it!
I dont understand his interaction with Athena Are they friends again? Is he telling her he wants nothing to do with her? To anyone whos read the book does he ever find it its Athena that saved him?
Athena basically offered him a chance to make the world better with her. Odysseus refused as all he wants to do is stay with Penelope. And Athena respected his choice. They have a true friendship now, but Odysseus time as Athena's Warrior of the Mind is over. That role is now in Telemachus' hands.

yeah but Poseidon literally said "I wouldn't be mad if you killed him, but ffs why did you spare him!?"

I thought that too!
After Odysseus kills the suitor that asks for mercy (I forgot his name) It also sounds like it says Ody said no. And it's kinda funny to me
@@Weirdo746does he not say no?
this entire series is amazing and this end was well worth the wait
You're mine 😔💕. Merry Christmas everyone This is the best Christmas present 🎁

I have cried
21:18 that part is always so beautiful
*ody casually going god mode on the suitors*
Tried to sing this entire thing and was in tears by the third song
At the end of Odysseus imagine if at the end he throws the last suiter off a balcony like he did the infant in the first saga
wait thats acually a good idea
Mary Christmas everyone!
It's spelt merry
why is there so much sand in my eye T-T

Here what I think the meaning is: Athena is basically just telling ody that she regrets leaving and so on
Athena basically offered him a chance to make the world better with her. Odysseus refused as all he wants to do is stay with Penelope. And Athena respected his choice. They have a true friendship now, but Odysseus time as Athena's Warrior of the Mind is over. That role is now in Telemachus' hands.
hope you like stealing views from Jorge, he has a playlist on his channel to listen to the whole thing
