I think the main thing about being an estp and se dominant is people tend to view me as a highly intense person/ too serious and at times just dont know how to chill relax have fun. I dont know but their definition of fun is not the same as mine. Whats fun for me is doing smtg meaningful even if its hard but what im ultimately aiming for is the impact and how much im remembered for creating that impact. Thats as deep as i can go

I'm an estp and what people are prepared for is my jokes and energy. What they are not ever prepared for is a high form intelligence. Yes, it's very often logic and experience based. But it's also inclusive and occasionally vulnerable.
Because the public bias exist and is propagated that the estp is a party person with limited competencies ( mostly physical), when we demonstrated our cognitive and organizational proficiency, we are despised ( bflat minor, amajor). And so, when we are vulnerableand in need of love/sympathy/connection we are mocked, judged, and rejected ( see amber heard).
The cold/rational truth is,. . Cognitive bias is just as pervasive as racial and / or superficial bias. Even worse, because more often than not, those cognitive biases are unconscious and result in confusion and then subsequent violence.
In any case, thank you for this. And try to remember that estps are just as human as everyone else. My eannagram tritype is 137. Socionics is LIE

Damn, this video called me out lmao.
Yes I do tend to be a bit cold and detached but also extremely collectivistic and caring to push things forward.
Hmm, I wonder if you know ESTPs in MBTI that line up better with SEE in socionics.

I think the SLE (ESTp) is often described similarly to the MBTI ESTJ. So it wouldn’t surprise me if socionics would type the people in my video an SEE, as they appear way too friendly and warm, to be an SLE (or MBTI ESTJ.)
But if we truly understood what valuing introverted logic really meant, nobody would’ve typed the examples in my video an SEE.

Also my favourite ESTP character - Damon Salvatore from TVD! He is a prime example of everything you've said!

Great video! I saw you talking abt Socionics. Are you planning to make Sociotype videos as well? E.g. MBTI ESTP vs Sociotype ESTp (SLE)

That’s a good idea, but I don’t think so…. 😝 My goal is to keep it as streamlined as possible.

I would've liked to have had more info about their Ni, and how ESTPs tend to avoid thinking about long-term consequences or different potentials

I thought about this, but I’ve come to find that this behavior is not the most evident characteristic when interacting with an ESTP in reality, and actually leads to frequent mistyping. For the ESFP, maybe, due to their feeling preferences, but not as much for the ESTP.
I will explain this through text as I didn’t explain this in the video, so that others can enjoy this information as well. 😊
Yes, to be Se-lead and “Ni inferior” implies that you’re not thinking of long-term consequences. But in MBTI, this tends to be misunderstood as a negative thing, as opposed to seeing the positive of this. And this negative description is what I’m saying leads to mistypes.
To be Se-lead implies lack of long-term thinking, yes. But this is also why ESTPs are the “just do it” types, performers, without them even trying to be this way. Just look at how improvisational, confident, and in-the-moment they can be with the example of Charlie Puth.
You can also imagine when an athlete needs to make the winning shot before time runs out, with a crowd of people booing at them to mess up. The “consequence” of an ESTPs low Ni is that they do NOT consider long term consequences or potentials. They are not seeing anything but the thing in front of them.
But I would argue that the worst personality type in this moment would be somebody who DOES consider long-term consequences or alternate possibilities and potentials.
But, this is what we have ESTPs for! This is their strength. The warriors in the front lines.
And if one of the main reasons why anybody is considering ESTP as their personality type is because of their lack of long-term thinking, and this usually means something bad for them, I would consider other types as well. Common mistypes include ESTJ, ESFP, or even ENFPs.
