Oh Jill!!! (I'm Jill too!) I just watched Jess and Miah share that you are going to be the new caretakers of their farm as they leave on their new adventure!!!!! I truly got goose pumps and teared up. You and Jess are the sweetest girls and I have learned so much from you both. In fact it is because of Jess that I started my first garden a year ago. I'm 66 - just took some time I guess! I pray you and your family are so very happy and content in your new adventure. God Bless
Happy to hear about your move to Jess and Miah's farm. I was going to call it the Roots and Refuge Farm, but I guess it's now Whispering Willow Farm. Well it will be soon.
I know I’m so excited to watch both their journeys!!! Will be a little sad to see them leave the farm and friends but so exciting it’s going to whispering willow and watch the new roots and refuge farm in SC
I just watched Roots and Refuge Farm, I am sooooooooooo happy for you and your family. It was hard thinking they would sell to someone that I could not watch make that farm their own, and now I can and it makes me thrilled beyond belief. Bless you in your new journey.
Connnngraaaatulations on ur new farm. I’m so glad we will still be able to see farm tours in Jess farm even after they move out . Congratulations again it’s such a great purchase I know u will fall in love with it
Congratulations 🎈 Roots and Refuse is moving to SC. So happy to see Whispering Willow Is moving to a new/old Farm in AR. Great Idea! So happy to see you and Nathan’s smiling faces at the end of the video with Jess and Miah today. Wow what a delight to see your sweet smiling face enjoying a farm you love and making it your own along with your family. God bless each one of you and keep you safe. Love, Norma (from Florida)
I was so excited to see you guys are taking over Jess and Miah's farm. God has truly blessed both your families and I can't wait to see what you guys do with it. 😊
@@WhisperingWillowFarm Will there be a video about the process of making that decision for all of you? I would love to hear how you decided that was where you wanted to move!
I called it lol! This was just amazing to hear how His plan unfolded for all of you. I couldn't be more happy for people I've never met ❤. Cant wait to see the journey!
I'm so excited for you and your family girl!! Wishing you many years of joy and an abundance of blessings for the legacy and future of Whispering Willow Farm. 💚
You should put some sun flowers or lavender plants in where you have extra room, they sell VERY well with cut flowers & lavender can be made into sooo many things! Bundles, satchels, soup, candles, lotions, teas, sooo much
Im so happy we will still get to see the original Roots and Refuge Farm. I can't wait to see what you do with it. I bet you're so excited to expand. I can not wait for the 2022 garden season. It's going to be so entertaining to watch! Congratulations to your family!
SO EXCITED FOR Y'ALL! Congrats on your new adventure to come!! I KNEW it was y'all who would be getting the farm! I can't think of a sweeter family for this blessing to happen to. I cried with excitment and was so blessed by Jess, Miah's & y'alls exciting news!
I'm a big fan of noodle beans. Main tip is to harvest them when diameter is no larger than the width of a pencil. I break them into pieces and steam them, then dress simply with extra virgin olive oil and sea salt, but a lot of people like to stir fry them and dress with various Asian sauces. You'll love them when you find your favorite recipe!
It all looks great! I can't wait to see how the cut flowers do. That's something I'm interested in getting in to and my teenage daughters are too. Thanks for sharing your beautiful garden! ❤
Hi Jill, I thought that you might like to know that you can just move the netting up the poles as your flowers grow rather than adding more layers. It will make things easier at harvest time, There is also a technique called corralling that Jenni Love uses on her farm so you can pop on over to The Flower Podcast and look for the videos with her in them. I'm pretty sure that she discusses flower supports as well as regenerative flower farming systems. There are many flowers that get harvested in what's known as cracking bud stage which means that the bees don't get the chance to come and pollinate them so there's less of a chance that you'll have to deal with them when you're harvesting your blooms. Corn would be great in the bare patch by your zucchinis since they're both used in the three sisters method.
Nice meeting you. I just subscribed to your channel. Was guided here by Jess and Miah. I will look forward to future videos. You bought a Beautiful property!
🙋🏼♀️ hi there . 🍀 Wishing you and your family. All the best 🕊with taking over roots refuge farm. 🐐🐖🐥I call it the farm that love built. 🌳🪴💐I’m sure you and your family will continue to bring much love to the farm. 🌳🪴💐🍀🐣🐐🐑🦙🕊
I suggest you plant something perennial in your extra bed space for the next owners., perhaps alliums. Or you could plant bulbs just before you move so the next owner has daffodils or hyacinths or tulips to greet them next spring.
Oh my goodness; how wonderful news concerning your new home!!! God is faithful and I’m so happy to follow your family and Jessica’s! Bl saint sweet girl! Beverly
I know the roots and refuge farm is so special to you and holds memories already and you always got so much inspiration over there so I hope it’s a space for new memories and inspiration and growth for you and the family! We are all so excited for your new journey and for Jess and Mias. Congrats!!! Also I planted a crap ton of zinnias last year very close together and they helped support each other from falling over and they grew over 4 feet tall and were a glorious display of beauty all the way till fall and I had so many gorgeous cut bouquets in the home. I’m planting mine this weekend and I’m direct sowing which I did last year and they did so great. Wish we could share photos!
Love it .. I plan to plant out my garden this weekend here in West Tennessee zone 7A .. I already have 17 tomato plants and 16 marigolds planted in my tent tunnel in raised beds .. now I'm about to plant my in ground garden ..
So glad you guys are taking over R&R place! Can't wait to see what you do there. Couldn't think of anyone better to take it over, I was happy to hear thry are moving but was also sad to not see the property anymore so it's a win win!
Jill..I cried like a baby with the news of what’s to come!!! I just watched Jess video...u deserve it beautiful lady..can’t wait to see u there and what u do with it..congrats and many blessed happy years on the new whispering willow farm!!wish u were moving down south tho ..hehe❤️
I just adore your attitude!! I'm with you - planting makes me so happy!! I love my life - I planted 175 Ranunculus and can't wait to see what I get!! I go out several times a day just to look at how big they're growing!!! Next come my Dahlias and Zinnias!!!
Hi Jill I watched all your videos from the last 5 months but have never left a message until now. I am a super fan of Jess from the beginning. I am beyond happy for you and your family . Congratulations on the new move. I litterally cried 😭 from so much Joy . Hi Jill I am Melody God Bless you my new friend ❤
I need nesturshim seeds. So excited about your future garden. I started an asparagus bed this year and a rasberry bush. Radishes have been great, and peas are doing good. God bless!
Get yourselves a couple of Guineas and let them free range. Yes they are can be loud but I have not had a garden pest, flea or tick problem since getting my two ladies, Hiss and Spit. It is totally amazing to see how gentle they pick the pest off without harming the plant. The chickens and ducks will even sit still while the ladies are grooming them. I put a light on when doing late afternoon chores and shut it off when shutting up the coop at night and I’ve never had them roosting anywhere’s but in the coop.
I just told my sister yesterday, now that we've had our first Nader warning, and the tree frogs are out, summer is here in AR! You ain't wrong about us skipping spring! 😅😎
a second height of trellising is a really good idea.. i only did one level last year and some of my flowers got wonky in rain.. but once you pinch your zinnias and they branch it gets harder so add in the top layer now and let them grow into it!
I’m so excited about my watermelon radishes. I’ve been planting random kinds of radishes everywhere I can in containers and I’d never seen anything like those before!
I never comment but I couldn't hold back today. I'm so excited for you and your family Jill!!!! I watched jess's video and my heart is so happy for all of you involved in this next life stage. Love from Virginia.
It may not be officially summer yet, but it is the season of promise. Your garden is looking beautiful and my imagination will not be able to do it justice when it hits full bloom! Thank you for sharing ❤️🌺
Jill, I just love your energy. Has anyone else become allergic to squash and pumpkin plants? Last year I had an allergic rash that was a mystery. It ends up that many people have had that same experience.
@foliageandforensics I get a rash from the tiny hairs on the stalks of curcubits, but because I know it is an issue, I harvest in long sleeves and gloves. My skin is really weird, extremely sensitive, and my allergies are insane. I have the same issue if I try to trellis without gloves.
@foliageandforensics I came across an article about the squash and pumpkin leaves can be irritating and cause a rash. It appears the fine bristles on the leaves cause an allergic reaction for sensitive to it. Last year I had a terrible itchy rash that spread from my ankles to my legs arms and chest.
Well they aren’t MINE I guess. But I moved here spring of last year and there were seriously no bumbles.. by the fall two showed up, this spring I’ve seen at least 3 gathering in preparation!! 🐝

She has a video on how to make it. Go to Jill's playlist and it's under cooking. Super easy, basically the same as basil pesto.
