Thank you for your reaction. You are knowledgeable about Korean and Japanese idol culture and the idol economy, so you can give a different explanation than other UA-camrs. Please continue to react to Number_i.
As top Japanese idols, they abandoned their stable popularity and chose to do what they wanted to do. No one in this day and age would take on such a reckless challenge. They are crazy and really cool.
Thank you for your quick response!! They are doing what they want to do, regardless of trends or what others think. This INZM was quite a challenge but I think it was great!!!
Your reaction is very helpful. The album's reed songs seem to have a lot of intense songs, but they are singing a variety of songs without being caught in the genre. I love their ballads❤
저는 Number_i의 팬입니다.
I was nostalgic for the key change part, but you said it had a Beastie Boys feel to it, and I thought that made sense! That’s exactly it! It's amazing how they were able to condense sounds from so many different genres into one track. They don’t care whether they’re considered idols or how others categorize them. Their style of relentlessly pursuing what they believe is good is, in itself, cool. According to Jin, the member who produced this track, they wanted to mix respect for ’90s and 2000s rock with their own Number_i style. Watching your video made me feel really happy, realizing that their intentions are being communicated to the world.
You are so on point with your review 😃 Thanks for the in depth reaction! I’ve been watching all your Number_i reviews - anxious to know your opinion since you are so well versed with American, Korean and Japanese past and present hip pop scenes. 🎉 One of the members, Jin (the guy with black hair) produced the song with the same track makers as GOAT and BON and all members of Number_i took part with the lyrics and track arrangements. Jin shared with us that he wanted to make a song that hybrids rock and hip pop, inspired by music from the ‘90s. I personally am a big fan of Beastie Boys (I am a Japanese female Number_I fan living in New York City) and in the ‘90s in J-POP, ‘mixture bands’ like Dragon Ash was vastly famous so it may not be main stream but it appeals to many Japanese ears. Basically, as reflected in the lyrics, they are trying to make it big and hit the global scene - so rather than simply releasing a typical popular style for Japanese female fans, they are trying to attract widely untouched male and global audiences and also come up with a signature Number_I style with beat switches, inspiration from various old school eras, etc. In order to also appeal to the general public, they always include a part that the live audience can join like GOAT with the fist, BON with the hand opening, INZM with the inverted 3 fingers, etc. They performed these and other songs at recent rock festivals and the audiences loved INZM including male audience (not fans) at the festival - they rocked the crowd. There’s always certain people who criticize them envious of their success and some female idol fans who only appreciate melodious music but I think they are getting enough traction from new fans who started discovering them. Lastly, the video game theme in the MV also is a tribute to the game culture of the era.
thank you for this. i've bee watching your videos about Number_i as their fan and i've always loved your analysis. as stated in their songs, they're making music theid way now. they're not going with a typical commercial sound and are very hands on with production, lyrics, and arrangement. i really hope they find more success by choosing this path they chose.
247 Chillin 😎 is an Amazing Reactor. He reacts to every Hip Hop Song regardless of Country. Icee been watching him for years and he’s always spot on 🎯🎼. Yes 👍🏽 I’m older so I get the Beastie Boyz sound too. I was trying to remember the familiar style and sound. I’m showing my age now…but it’s Amazing 😻 to hear it Again!! I appreciate your breakdown and understanding of all the OG Hip Hop Styles. ☺️🎧 CA/USA
Thank you for your detailed explanation, including the history of their music. I'm very happy that you enjoy their music. Have you seen the music video for their previous song, BON? In the final scene of BON, as the three members of Number_i walked ahead, there was a shining object called INZM (INAZUMA = lightning).
Interesting, the first time I listened the song I thought they had used some Korn sounds or samples. Makes more sense now that it seems the song has some Nü metal influence in it. Some of those bands you named are considered Nü metal.
Thank you for uploading your reaction video😊 You can really tell from a professional's comments! I didn't know about the Beastie Boys. I'll listen to their music too🎧 The part where the song changes BPM is like a switch, and I really like that. It's a song that makes you want to surrender yourself to the music and let yourself go with the flow😆 Thank you for sharing your wonderful thoughts👍👍

This MV is filmed in Taiwan ❤🧋
これからのNumber_iが楽しみです。
As top Japanese idols, they abandoned their stable popularity and chose to do what they wanted to do. No one in this day and age would take on such a reckless challenge. They are crazy and really cool.

I am very glad that you, who are familiar with HIPHOP culture, can appreciate their challenge.
