This sounds very similar to Radiohead, Oasis and Coldplay, a very Britpop-esque tune. It's like a mixture of High and Dry, The Scientist and Stop Crying Your Heart Out which are all fantastic songs so of course this is a fantastic song as well, it incorporates the best features of those songs.

​@@abbeymncraa I'd suggest checking a lot of Britpop/Post-Britpop albums of the 90's - mid 2000's. So I'd say Blur, especially their later albums with songs like Beetlebum, Coffee and TV and No Distance Left To Run, Travis with Why Does It Always Rain On Me, Writing To Reach You, The Verve - pretty much all of Urban Hymns (Lucky Man and Bittersweet Symphony in particular), Radiohead - most of The Bends and OK Computer, Coldplay - Parachutes and A Rush Of Blood To The Head, Manic Street Preachers - This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours, Keane - Hopes and Fears, Feeder - Comfort in Sound and Pushing The Senses and Oasis - Heathen Chemistry. Essentially go through those albums/songs and you should find a lot of songs similar to this one by The 1975.
