    Instead of a pricey power station, just use a good 100ah LiFeOp4 battery for around $200 and probably get the same amount of run-time as a $600 power station. I use mine as a garage fridge also.
    Good video as usual.

    Tool companies started offing collets as well.
    If I spend money on a cooler, it will be Makita since I own their batteries.
    Generally speaking, these are a good thing to have if someone can afford it .

    Love the dual side option of the fridge. The price point isn’t too terrible, considering other portable fridges.

    My Combi Fridge (Gas/110V) had a faulty LCD. A new 12V compressor fridge is vastly more efficient.. With my 2x100AH 12V batteries and 450W Solar I can stay off grid for days.

    It’s definitely bougie, but you make very compelling arguments for the 12V fridge. I think my step will be from a cheap igloo to a roto molded cooler.

    I wish it was shorter length wise. Maybe taller or wider, but the length of it can cause (for me) some space constraints.

    I have a setpower mc20 and for some reason when i plug it into the ecoflow river pro 2 it will not turn off the compressor and goes to coldest temperature. The problem doesn’t happen with any other power station. I have contacted set power for a exchange.

    I use an older bougerv and I’ve been happy with it. I feel like the battery is not worth buying. It’s too expensive for the WH. Perhaps more cost effective to buy 2 power stations. A smaller one like an Ecoflow river 2 just to keep in the car and a larger one for the camp site.

    • @BackcountryExposure
      @BackcountryExposure  6 місяців тому +1

      @@nabwong that’s fair. For me it’s that it doesn’t take up additional space in the car and gives me to added power.

      I use either 20v drill batteries to run the fridge temporarily for less than 6 hours. Or use a $200 LiTime 100ah battery, it runs about 2 to 3 days depending on conditions.

    The solar panels you show power that fridge, and/or charge your power station are super small? They look like 40W max panels. Don't think that setup would work to keep this fridge powered over a longer period of time!?

    • @BackcountryExposure
      @BackcountryExposure  2 місяці тому

      Yeah that panel is small. It does a well enough job to recharge the small battery inside the fridge. But wouldn't use it to charge anything substantial.

      @@BackcountryExposure I guess it comes down to the quality of the compressor. I read Iceco uses Danfoss compressors. The cheap compressor in my budget fridge is still going so it's been worth it.
