I agree but don't force it on them, my mom used to and it made me hate helmates, it took my friend getting seriously injured to convince me to finally start wearing them and thankfully nothing bad happened in the time I didn't wear them ( he was going down a big hill and got speed wobbles and lost controll and went straight into a dumpster... he ended up loosing all his memory and had to re learn how to walk, talk, eat exc.
I 2nd that. Almost lost my brother in law! He was just driving the quad into the barn. Throttle stuck he rolled, ripped his scalp of his head and broke more bones then they could count in his face. My 13 yr old now yells at his dad when his dad is just moving something. Remember Brian’s snowmobile accident!!!
Came here to say the same thing. I’ve been riding since I could walk, so about 42 years now. Dirt, pavement, track, dunes, you name it. Purchased a cheap ass beach scooter to chase the local sunsets. My last ride I took the helmet off at the end of the block because it was interrupting my cigar, we were in traffic going less than 10 miles an hour along the beach due to traffic. Next thing I remember is I’m in the back of an ambulance awaiting life flight to clear traffic in order to land. Long story short I got t-boned by a bicyclist and the impact of his helmet to my skull knocked me out cold. 6 broken ribs, missing ear, broken ankle,road rash, and a bad concussion later I’m literally still adapting too almost 8 years later. It’s hot, they are uncomfortable but the alternative is much worse. All it takes is a second and a few bucks to invest in your life and safety to protect everything you love and have built.

You can turn off the triple honk when you close the door in settings. Also air the tires down next time to fit without scraping!
