Beautiful Kauai, my home sweet home, “WAIMEA BOY’S”. Missing it as I watch this video. Looks like the Hanapepe river mouth at Port Allen on that boat ride. That whole area down to Burnsfield, Light house, Salt pond is so beautiful. Used to camp, fish, dive & surf that whole area back in the days with the Ohana’s. Living the good life! It seems like you are cutting off the fins after you spear the fish, is that to keep them from swimming away? Have you heard of spiking? It's very humane and it's supposed to make the fish taste better too, because when they survive a brutal wound they release some chemicals in the bloodstream that supposedly leaves an aftertaste in the flesh.
We always knife the brain whenever we kill a fish. Sometimes we bleed it afterwards if it’s a bigger fish. We try to be as humane as possible 💚🐟💚

Over here there called Roi and they are an invasive species that is destroying our reefs! They don’t get super big over here 3-6 pound average. But as we say over here - Big or small kill them all!
