Hey, That’s cheating. You took the cover off the battery and then changed the bulb in the other side. I don’t really blame you - The battery side is the one that’s difficult to change.
Yes, hands up! I think the guys in the workshop found it almost impossible to get the video equipment in behind the left-hand headlamp.

Cmon now. We all know you're not getting the left side bulb out without removing the entire headlight assembly. And on the MK1 that includes the screw in the wheel arch area!
Just remove battery and holder 5bolts then u can get it out

For years you have fooled me into thinking I can do "simple" jobs on my car.
I can't even get my fingers in that seemingly huge gap where the bulb is.
Yes, vehicle manufacturers have not made it easy to change bulbs. At least with our manuals, we've actually carried out the task, and tried to find the best method.

But I can neither see the bulb clip nor get either hand in the gap.
I have been a fan of Haynes manuals for decades. Used to buy a new one everytime I got a new car. And the truth is you guy's have saved me a lot of money, so thanks and curse you...
