Edd worked for Score Productions at the time. I believe they own the rights to this theme, and many others he did while employed by them - including the Price is Right theme

This intro was catchy but I think the 1970's separate Match Game and Hollywood Squares series were better. I can't think of anyone that is good enough to replace Gene Rayburn today. I guess they could go a different direction and get cute and soon to be out of a job Governorcritter Kristi Noem or almost as soon out of a job Senatecritter Lauren Boebert for Match Game and weird Congresscritters Louie Gohmert or Mo Brooks for Hollywood Squares. All four would be incompetent but at least Match Game would have a cute host and Hollywood Squares would have that weird factor -- they might be good for attracting Trumpians and get primetime slots at Fox News. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It may have had its fair share of flaws, but no one can take away how awesome the presentation, set, concept, and of course, the theme music were.
