This video literally brought me to tears. I've been dealing with alcoholism and this video gives me so much hope that yes it can be done, it is possible, but it starts with making the decision to change. I'm lucky I've been blessed with the most amazing women in my life who truly believes in me. I just want to be completely sober.
3 weeks sober.. feeling MUCH better now. I’ve been drinking since I was 15 years old. I’m 42.. almost 30 years of feeling physically and mentally ill. I detoxed alone which was not smart. I didn’t die but I got dt’s. I was seeing things.. I had insomnia for nearly 6 days.. I wasn’t eating.. I was out of my mind.. Alcohol is no joke.. I used it to deal with a life time of fear, anxiety and depression. My heart goes out to anyone and everyone that has dealt with alcoholism or is dealing with it now. There is a solution and you don’t have to do this alone. Get help if you need it. There is no shame in that. God Bless!
I can relate to all of your experiences. The DT’s are the most horrifying thing I’ve ever been through. Fast forward to today, I am “happy, joyous, and FREE! More than 25 years of living the greatest adventure of my life. The “fellowship” was, and still is the solution for me. Best wishes to you!
How did you detox? How to you stop craving when you did quit? I've quit several times only to have a weak moment and take it back up again so have gone in Cycles probably off and on for 20 years. I've seen the benefits and no better. My life is changed with this covid and I know I always feel better when I am sober and accomplish a lot more and my motivation and drive comes back. I think I might be clinically depressed and that is why a yo-yo. Is there a book or some type of way to do it myself verses rehab which I can't afford and a therapist?
Cheers for the video content! Apologies for butting in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Saankramer Life Card System (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a smashing exclusive product for learning how to stop drinking minus the headache. Ive heard some great things about it and my cousin at very last got astronomical success with it.
There's also a membership that you can join online called Sunday Morning. We all know what that usually includes. Sunday mornings can be fun! I believe that there's no guaranteed method to stop drinking forever so I don't exclude any of them. I've stopped relapsing so often, it's been the longest ever for me now. But I do believe that what we have to take care of is today, it's always one day at a time and anybody can do that.
Thanks for this. I hope that I am at the end of my addiction problems. I went to some AA meetings, one of the first things someone told was that its a progressive illness. I see they're point, every time I go back to alcohol it gets worse. I'm done with it. Living on my own, separated from my family.
I had stopped drinking successfully twice now and looking to begin the third. My most successful time period was 44 months with the following period being 18 Months. What I realize is that it only takes one to start the journey again.Peace
Beautiful video Tommy, thanks so much for recording these powerful video's. I will definitely use them in my work at the treatment center and introduce my clients to your amazing and inspiring work and care! Love!
I'm surprised I'm not already dead... I'm only 26 and been drinking wiskey like it's juice for the last 7 years. Daily. Today. I made goals. Today is the day my life changes forever. God bless anyone with addiction.
The rehab I enrolled in used to actually make people worse because of the unprofessional counselors. However, I'm using that to my advantage because I'm never going back there, wish me luck!
Dead on sir..........I got to the same point. Thought could detox only, but had to finally go back for in-patient. From there continued in the AA 12 step realm that we started and were introduced to in my treatment center. Working.....feel like a different guy. Didn't know how far I had slipped physically, mentally , everything until I stopped. Thank goodness for folks that can help if you want it Loved drinking and drank for 30+ yrs with no problems.......then it was and was alone a lot. Can happen.
I used to drink most nights not every night just 4-5 days maybe less but now I’ve recently started drinking from Sunday and stop till Friday and today is Tuesday but I can’t stop thinking about when it gets to to Friday so I can have my next drink how can I stop thinking about alcohol?
I was watching this last night drinking some Marsmallow flavored vodka. Me and the wife had the fire place going, and she toasted some marshmellows and put it in our vodka drinks. We don't know what happened after that we woke this morning with our heads stuck to the carpet.
You’re right, it's a fact that quitting booze not only makes your world a better place to be in, good things start to “magically” happen and the energy is insane! Steffon Barkload's Quit Drinking Forever, that’s the best shortcut I go’ogled that took less than a week to work without suffering withdrawal.
Alcohol is sugar, it signals the pancreas to release insulin which is an inflammatory hormone... It's the reason sugars get stored as body fat. Insulin resistance is caused by sugars and carbohydrates raising blood glucose levels so often that the cells become resistant, that includes altzheimers and dementia from synapses retracting. Blood glucose is a short quick energy whereas ketones (fatty acids) are long sustained energy sources. Ketones are anti-inflammatory, and glucose is very inflammatory. Uncontrollable mood swings come from glucose metabolism. Using the Ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting will control insulin and glucose levels... Along with daily exercise! This is the best way to manage the hormone responses...
Im 24 I’ve been drinking since I was 14 , I can’t seem to stop drinking a times once I’m drunk I just can’t stop the urge too keep drinking I’m also a cocaine addict I drink about 4 times a week non stop till I’m drunk and fall asleep I’m out of control :( I’ll try to stoop
I’m 2 years sober and anyone who tells you it’s easy is lying. You may have to face emotional pain from the past, finally deal with a bad job or relationship, learn new coping skills, handle social anxiety and dating, relearn how to have fun, get new friends, get a new hobby, learn how to handle social pressure.. etc..
@@SoyDianaM Yup. I quit today. It almost feels like a decision at this point. Made a bunch of action plans. Hobbies. Don’t really want to be around environments where people are drinking anyway. Gym. Boxing. Passions. Learning to cook. Learning how to be better. So many other things to enjoy. At this point I’m just choosing LIFE again. Addiction starts with pain and ends with pain. For yourself and those you love. There are places and activities where alcohol isn’t consumed at all. Just have to consciously seek them out. 2/13/24
Colb Kam AMAZING! Keep going. Get past day 3 and you will start to feel incrementally better. Check in with some sober groups of people if possible so they/we can support you!!! Could be an AA meeting. Or check out the Recovery 2.0 Global Community Page on Facebook. It’s free and if you post that you are two days sober you’ll get a lot of love there. All my best to you. Happy New You. -Tommy
hi everyone ,if anyone else wants to uncover tips stop panic attacks try Debuncar Panic Attack Aid (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my work buddy got amazing results with it.
There are several factors in quitting alcohol including eg motivation and help from peers. One resource I found that succeeds in merging these is the Adoette drink plan (see the website SebsMagicTactic.com) definately the most incredible idea that I've heard of. look at all the site and great reviews.
Kudos for the Video! Forgive me for butting in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you heard about - Saankramer Life Card System (probably on Google)? It is a great one of a kind product for learning how to stop drinking without the headache. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my friend at last got cool success with it.
I didn’t drink all week , tonight I had a moment of craving at my Buddy’s house due to him drinking. he gave one mixed drink ..I took a sip and poured the rest out ..Im staying strong , before this I was drinking insane amounts , I had a whiskey/scotch /bourbon /beer diet for many years, any other liquor for that matter..not always everyday but every single weekend and then eventually came to the majority of the week.. and it came to a health scare /some withdrawals... scared the shit out of me so I absolutely had to stop , I am trying to stay strong and stop . From just one week of not drinking I already felt a noticeable difference of feeling good, I need to keep this going , good luck to all!!
ayoal With all due respect, “staying strong” is a recipe for disaster. White knuckle sobriety is not sustainable. I humbly suggest that you seek a twelve step environment, and start living in the solution, instead of the problem. Best wishes to you! (25 yrs sober, and enjoying the greatest adventure of my life.)
@@markg.4246 With all due respect Mark you're not an expert, no one is. The 12 steps is very effective but it is not for everyone. Stay strong Mark G. You will need that strength on more days than others. I've known of a person who stopped due to the fear of losing her family. Drinking occasionally is the 'new' harm reduction way that seems to be a bit tricky but it's just another relapse isn't it.
marie morrissey Thank you, but “staying strong” is not part of my consciousness as it relates to sobriety. The foundation for recovery begins with “surrender”, and is built from there by being willing to live differently.
Thank you for your work. I am tired of using drugs and alcohol to get through life. I know there is so much more out there for me once i step into the light.
At least this was candid and upfront with genuine advice; every other video is a talk show or an ad or some religious thing that had some ulterior motive. Thank you for your video.
The secret is to not dwell forever on the emotional side of recovery. Focus on educating yourself about the brain science and how it effects everything in the body physically. You have to find new hobbies and push out of your comfort zone. Don't fall for the trap of self identifying as an alcoholic -that just gives alcohol power over you by merely mentioning it or thinking it and that adds unconscious stress and youre more likely to go back to it because 'o well im a pathtic alcoholic'. Dont fall for that self identifying as being disordered. When you are empowered with the science knowledge you have power over alcohol, and alcohol just becomes a pathetic substance that has limited your self growth in ways you cant imagine yet.
I’ve quit numerous times for months at a time, but always go back. Too embarrassed to go to AA ( small town.) I am however sick of losing this battle! I need to march myself into a meeting and get over myself!
Selina Moriarty hi Selina, where do you live? There are so many options. Also, have you heard of InTheRooms.com Online meetings. I’ve found them so helpful. Also, join our membership and be with us online (Live) every Monday Night. Http://r20.com Love and strength. -Tommy
i look at it as your going to have to face it one day/ Sooner the better to start the healing and get back to you. Fight the Bee now or fight the Beehive later
I understand the “embarrassment” feeling, but it will be very short lived, and you will be welcomed with open arms. I suggest “Step” meetings, as those who attend them live in the solution, instead of the problem. Best wishes.
I'm afraid of being sober. life is not nearly as good as it is when I'm drunk, you know, the relaxation, when negative thoughts go away. What I do think I should stop doing is drinking this much, cause a few beers are enough to get clamed down but what i want is to get lost, as drunk as I can. Besides, it's an expensive addiction. I fear to go back to sobriety. I don't enjoy alcohol, alcohol enjoyes me.
True, you, lie I, as well as you, are a slave to alcohol. If you like me reducing consumption is not possible. I only have control over the first drink, after that I tend to drink until it is gone. Anxiety is a big thing for me as I think it is for you as well.
dzjahrk There is a way through to the other side of alcohol and when you get there you will start enjoying life much more than the life you have now. I’ll be honest with you it does take effort and a little time but then you get to be free free from alcohol free from the negativity and the burden of it all and you get to live a full life. Alcoholics anonymous was very helpful for me. I wish you all the freedom and joy in the world with love to you, Tommy
Thank you so much for answering. I will have to find psychiatric help because to me, it derives from my obsessive personality, and so if I find pleasure in something, in this case, liquor, I'll try to get way more than I need. We'll see. Thanks again.
Hi my name is Tim, I have been a very successful alcoholic for 43 years and and I enjoyed a lot of illicit medications as well. I am an Australian.and I believe that the culture in my country has always been accepting drinking alcohol as a life style.I regard myself as a functioning person on grog . I am an Embalmer or Mortician and very qualified over 25 years. However I'm 58 years old, lost my first wife to grog, lost my children, lost my driving licence twice, lost a one hundred thousand dollar job a year, and my second wife cannot stand me drinking with my new children, and the kids say why do you drink grog. I say because I can. Pretty horrible is it. Its hard to be an Aussie.
Ryan James can you get to an AA meeting somewhere near you? People there will help you get sober. Please put aside all resistance and do that and set yourself free. I’m rooting for you. Love, Tommy
I'm starting to enjoy the 'High' of not drinking, and the weird dreams. 13 days in at the moment. First few days were tough. Been going gym & running helps.
I awoke this morning with my usual hangover and desire to stop drinking, but I could feel something different this time..while at work I listened to healing and meditation music and just thought about how I have loved my family, my dogs and all animals and nature...but I haven't loved myself...so many thoughts but on my way home I didn't buy any beer...about to get some sleep now and looking forward to a different path..one of mindfulness
I’m turning 60 today; and would love nothing better than to give myself a birthday present of living alcohol free for the rest of my life. Wine every night is not a good thing; every morning I’ve got spikes in blood pressure, and besides that it simply does not mix with the meds I’m taking...
I am successful in quiting alcohol. 10 months now I didn't touch it and I feel happy for that. . Hope others will also do it for their better future..😊
I’m off the booze a year tomorrow it’s been a tough year with Covid but I’m still sober , I used to be a binge drinker on a Saturday night I thought it was ok to get wasted once a week but the binges were getting worse to the point of deadly , if I can stop anyone can, I always thought I was the worst person in the world the day after a binge I don’t feel like this anymore , life’s not perfect sober but not drinking helps you start a new life away from the booze !
I love my gf so much and i wish she knew how much it hurts me to have to let her go cuz she "has to feel somthing " hanging on has become so hard i love her so so much and ive wanted her to stop ever since i met her god i wish she knew ..... :( someone if u can relate. Please like this ur not alone and if ur one of the people doing this please hear me out. Watching her drink is like watching someone u love hang them self and u cant do anything to save them. Please pray for liz wickburg and my mom rosey perez and my self dakota love you all stay positive.
Victor Cantero I have been there. Oh my goodness. I know this pain and this sadness and this powerless. If you let go and work on yourself you May be surprised to see these people recover. I’ve seen the most extraordinary turnarounds! Let go and work on your path forward. You can do it and so can they. -Tommy
im 5 weeks sober and really much happier. Its not worth it in the final analysis. Just a few hits and a bit of fun, then back into the misery and cycle again. It gets worse each time and it is insane that we even think about picking up again.
I searched "how to beat alcoholism"...the first result made me feel worse about myself...even left a bad comment about it....when i found this video i watched it and sent it to me wife telling her to watch it...and that i needed help. Thank you for this video. Instead of putting a so called scientific limit on drinks per week and saying your aweful if youre like this...you explained steps to get help and overcome the sickness. Thank you!
i was a heavy drinker and i would say what worked best for me was doing a salt water cleans (or 2) and then just straight up quitting cold turkey. i know its not recommended to go turkey but the side effects for me at least were very mild (even though i was up to a full bottle of wiskey/vodka a day) and after a few days, sleep returned to normal and it was all good after that. i think that whats even harder than quitting is staying quit especially after about a month of feeling great. for that, you can use a support system such as sober friends, aa, etc. also just realizing that you can do most of the same things sober and in many cases have an even better (longer lasting) time. good luck guys!
My strongest and most loving suggestion is to get to an online AA meeting today and everyday for next 90 days. Reach out to the people there and explain our situation. They will understand and be able to direct you. Where do you live? Love and strength to you. -Tommy
The person I’m concerned about is from a family of heavy drinkers and alcoholics. This person drinks every night and when he goes to social events, he gets shitfaced but thinks he hides it well and nobody knows. He’s obsessed with his alcohol collection and consumption but insists he doesn’t have a problem, that he just enjoys it, like it’s a hobby. It’s the lifestyle he was raised in and it’s normal for him. He plays beer sports, like softball and sand volleyball several times a week and loves country music songs, many of which validate his drinking lifestyle. He seriously does not think he has a problem bc he holds down a job and isn’t a sloppy drunk. It’s ruining his marriage but his wife is not divorcing him because she does want him to have split custody or any custody of their daughter. He is manipulative and she will not risk her toddler being exposed to his or his family’s lifestyle without her there supervising and protecting her child and the only way she can do this is if she stays married to him. Can anyone address this type of drinking problem and explain how he is a heavy drinker but hides it so well from people. He insists he doesn’t need to drink, that he just enjoys it. 🤷🏻♀️
One thing s for sure though...if you somehow ended up here.. you know you have an Alcohol problem looming somewhere.. so yes I'm here I know I have a problem just because I can go periods without drinking .. but then when I do oh mahhnn.. I just don't stop... it's drink till I don't know who I am.anymore esp whiskey n coke .. oh my
Hello Sir! ..thanks for the video...is there any meditation or Yoga technique that helps to quit alcohol? I am a binge drinker...and hate the way I booze ....I want to get out from this mess ....I try, but I fail everytime ...please do reply ...love form India
I need help but TBH I know that I won’t seek help out on my own. I tried to stop drinking cold turkey 2 weeks ago but I developed pancreatitis and had to stay in the hospital for 5 days. I felt sicker than ever before. I kinda thought that would be my “wake-up call” but nooooo! I was dead wrong. Soon as I got out of the hospital I hit the bottle. Fuck me. 😒 I got a DUI in 2017 and then had to go to state-mandated meetings (to keep my DL) but every time I went to group I felt like I needed a shot. Hearing the story’s from others brought me back to the day I was arrested. 😑 Most nights I left those meetings physically craving a drink. I mean, that’s all we talked about! Alcohol alcohol alcohol. Have to get that shit out of my head. Anyway... alcohol has (and still is) creeping up on me... It’s the devil.
Connor Cavalier hey man, please let me know where you live. I will try to hook you up with some resources. You can email me at support@r20.com There is a way through this. sending Love, Tommy
I highly recommend the Buddhist approach- Refuge Recovery. It is definitely a worthy alternative to AA. The text for it is great. Blessings to all of you on your journey.
you said three minutes ago that you do to not necessary support AA. however your support is based on that in the end. what is the philosophy? Are you supportive of AA or not? I nee da different focus. How great to find a group that actually listened. I will do more research before I judge but seems like you want to eventually move to AA
I need a support system but everytime I go to AA they always force religion on me is there a support system like AA that doesn't force religion on you?
1st video i finish to watch, its really helps its dont have adverts, its not destracting your attention..i will definitely try to stop ,thanks a lot for your video
Very good Outreach keep up the good work a lot of Alcoholics don't speak up it's called denial not to the substance abuse but in the public eye they are afraid
@Elmer Baez well done keep going,i m sober 50 days,i was a binge drinker once a week,i was not drinking for the taste,i was drinking to get wasted.I m done with alcohol i sleep better and having better days without it
@@elmerbaez6784 fortunately i never had any weight problem,i was always fit but i was sick and tired being on hangover in gym struggling to do simple exercises
Thanks for this, just trying to get a bigger picture and a motivation to make the call for inpatient support, but was hung up on AA for the reasons you mentioned. But you're right that it would do some good one way or another. Best
There is a all kinds of descriptions on what a severe alcoholic is but it would include some of these features: 1. Drinking frequently throughout the week 4-7 days a week 2. Drinking more than you intend, or inability to stop even when you know you should 3. Drinking until black out, frequent lapses in memory 4. Drinking in the morning, and/or afternoon on a consistent basis 5. Bad withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety, nausea, headaches, tremors, erratic thought process, mood swings, cravings for alcohol 6. Loss of relationships with people, progressive increase in aggressive behavior while drinking, frequent risky or bad decisions 7. Frequent thoughts of depression, apathy, loss of motivation, loss of self care with daily drinking, isolation 8. Disturbed sleep, becoming reliant on alcohol to get to sleep, waking up in a sweat and or with heart pounding 9. Trouble with law due to drinking, and continuing to drink despite consequences. (Severe DUI then drinking the next day/continuing to drink and drive) 10. Cancelling social situations, not keeping appointments, or entirely just forgetting about important events due to drinking 11. High tolerance to alcohol 12. Becoming secretive with drinking, lieing about drinking habits, hiding bottles 6 beers a night is almost the same as drinking two 40's. If you were to pour a 6 pack into two 40oz bottles and walk around I'm sure people would be asking some questions. However when its one 12oz at a time it looks a lot more innocent.
Dione van Rooyen I have no experience with us and also have not worked with folks who have experience with it. That doesn’t mean it’s not effective, I just can’t comment on it. I’ll look more into it for a future video. Thank you.
I'm 25. And I'm already at a point where I notice that alcohol is becoming a problem. My family is concerned, and it became a habitual and redundant way of escaping the stresses of life. I am currently keeping it in moderation with a glass of wine a night out. I am just tired of it as affecting my relationships and my performance overall.
I stopped drinking liquor for 5 minutes once 20 years ago and I was absolutely miserable So I drinks me some moonshine corn liquor from sunup to sundown every day 24 7 365 Smokes me 3 packs of camel cigarettes a day too and I feel good as a mutha fuckah Ya feel me Dogg worrrrdd Aight playboyyyy booooooooom
Beautiful video. Thank you. Though I do not drink, my three young adult children are continually exposed to alcohol...in college, work, social situations. I pray for their safety. I pray that the strength of my relationships with them will serve them well. I continue to educate myself about alcohol...especially the signs of alcoholism. Poota Maata Kee Asees.....thankyou for sharing your heart felt truth and wisdom.
Yep, that's part of why it is really difficult to quit....it's everywhere, so accessible. There's very cheap booze available too so it's not like it is put of reach due to finances...But the cost is huge and not worth it!
People drink because, life for the most part, is full of chores, sorry, but a drink or few in the evening is a treat from a normal life in these sh/t times. I also believe that people are born with differing personality’s and some, unfortunately are of the type who need a drink rather others who are happy with a mundane life. That in my opinion, is the unfortunate truth.
Has any human ever had the ability to choose how much? Ive been pretty regular and consistent for 35 years and after 2 it'll be more than 8. There is no choice to stop once it starts.

Step 9 what and am I spose do I never hurt no one only my self Bill Wilson was 34yrs sober he begged demanded a bottle of whisky on his death bed but his drink was Gin so it never leaves us

The correct response should have been Yes I do have trouble handling alcohol. That is still the truth. You will for eternity not have that capacity.

If I have around 3 drinks everyday will I have withdrawals?
Im drinking a beer watching this😜
I’m 2 years sober and anyone who tells you it’s easy is lying.

I’m 2 days sober & I just made an appointment at AA for tomorrow. Thank you for this video.
I've tried lots of ways, even went to rehab but today I'm going to stay sober until I die, I promise you guys.
Good luck, love you
hi everyone ,if anyone else wants to uncover tips stop panic attacks try Debuncar Panic Attack Aid (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my work buddy got amazing results with it.
There are several factors in quitting alcohol including eg motivation and help from peers.
One resource I found that succeeds in merging these is the Adoette drink plan (see the website SebsMagicTactic.com) definately the most incredible idea that I've heard of.
look at all the site and great reviews.
Love Child how’s it going? I hope well.
Please update
Kudos for the Video! Forgive me for butting in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you heard about - Saankramer Life Card System (probably on Google)? It is a great one of a kind product for learning how to stop drinking without the headache. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my friend at last got cool success with it.
Alcohol is a big addiction and plenty people are dying from it.

Rockland_ TriEye stay strong , if you are a long team drinker , you need to get help with the withdrawal, like he said it can kill you
I didn’t drink all week , tonight I had a moment of craving at my
Buddy’s house due to him drinking. he gave one mixed drink ..I took a sip and poured the rest out ..Im staying strong , before this I was drinking insane amounts , I had a whiskey/scotch /bourbon /beer diet for many years, any other liquor for that matter..not always everyday but every single weekend and then eventually came to the majority of the week.. and it came to a health scare /some withdrawals... scared the shit out of me so I absolutely had to stop , I am trying to stay strong and stop .
Thank you. I am hoping the best for all.
ayoal, how are you doing now? 🙂🙂🙂
5 years of almost everyday, im 25 now. Sober day 40! Getting easier everyday!

Sixteen years sober. Relapsed 4 years ago. Remember how wonderful it felt to be sober. I’m stuck.
1 day sober.
Hopefully 11 months sober now if not keep trying !!
5 days then relapsed but on day 1
Will just be writting day number as replies until at least 42 days...that would be super huge
Thank you for continuing to share your story and for your support to those in need on this path of recovery🙏🙏🙏
I’ve quit numerous times for months at a time, but always go back.

I wish you all the freedom and joy in the world with love to you,
Tommy
Thank you so much for answering. I will have to find psychiatric help because to me, it derives from my obsessive personality, and so if I find pleasure in something, in this case, liquor, I'll try to get way more than I need. We'll see.

This is my 2nd day. I can't eat
It was so hard to fall asleep lastnight tossing and turning. Heavy breathing. Chest tightening up

What if we cant afford rehabilitation? Detoxification? Can we slowly taper off?? I can't afford a therapist either

Fuck me. 😒
I got a DUI in 2017 and then had to go to state-mandated meetings (to keep my DL) but every time I went to group I felt like I needed a shot. Hearing the story’s from others brought me back to the day I was arrested. 😑
Most nights I left those meetings physically craving a drink. I mean, that’s all we talked about! Alcohol alcohol alcohol. Have to get that shit out of my head.
Anyway... alcohol has (and still is) creeping up on me... It’s the devil.

How do you define severe alcoholism? 6 beers a night? Or more so liquor involved? Or what?
There is a all kinds of descriptions on what a severe alcoholic is but it would include some of these features:
1. Drinking frequently throughout the week 4-7 days a week
2. Drinking more than you intend, or inability to stop even when you know you should
3. Drinking until black out, frequent lapses in memory
4. Drinking in the morning, and/or afternoon on a consistent basis
5. Bad withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety, nausea, headaches, tremors, erratic thought process, mood swings, cravings for alcohol
6. Loss of relationships with people, progressive increase in aggressive behavior while drinking, frequent risky or bad decisions
7. Frequent thoughts of depression, apathy, loss of motivation, loss of self care with daily drinking, isolation
8. Disturbed sleep, becoming reliant on alcohol to get to sleep, waking up in a sweat and or with heart pounding
9. Trouble with law due to drinking, and continuing to drink despite consequences. (Severe DUI then drinking the next day/continuing to drink and drive)
10. Cancelling social situations, not keeping appointments, or entirely just forgetting about important events due to drinking
11. High tolerance to alcohol
12. Becoming secretive with drinking, lieing about drinking habits, hiding bottles
6 beers a night is almost the same as drinking two 40's. If you were to pour a 6 pack into two 40oz bottles and walk around I'm sure people would be asking some questions. However when its one 12oz at a time it looks a lot more innocent.
