Its 1985 and you were surrounded by bands who wanted to play as fast as possible. And here you are wanted to thrash but incapable of playing speed thus arranged 2 songs with mid tempo and heavy as fukk simple power chord while unaware that it will be the foundation for death metal later on.

It's incredible that John Tardy sounds almost the same in this demo as he does on their latest album. Guy's voice almost didn't age at all. Obviously, here is more early speed/thrash metal oriented but it's so distinctive that when you hear it, you know it's him.
Tiene partes muy parecidas a sepultura, acabó de fijarme y el primer demo de sepultura es en el mismo año de 1985 - supongo wue todos se influenciaban unos a otros para obtener el mismo estilo, ya que cada banda fue marcando su propio estilo características y distintivo. Obituary has always been very doomy. This is basically doomy Thrash which turned it into their brand of doomy Death Metal.
