Last two week i kept myself saying train the muscles not the joints while lifting. It helps guys!
Saying "MOUNTAIN" when flexing biceps in front of a mirror also helps!
@@ollvi I was about to type this, but you beat me to it, so here is a like 😊
AFTER 40 YOU HAVE TO ADDAPT YOUR TRAINING WITH YOUR INJURIES.
LONGERTIVITY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN 1-2 POUNDS OF MUSCLES MORE.TRAIN SMART.EVERYBODY IS DIFFERENT
I came back to your video to say thank you.
I'm 63, started lifting again 9 months ago after decades of passivity.
All I heard was pushing to failure and progressive overload, which I did until several joints started to give problems.
Today after I watched your video I did sets of 15 to 20 without locking. Not full range of motion.
Feels much better already.
I think I didn't do my body a favour.
So thanks again and greetings from Hungary.
Awesome!
Orangutan 🦧 arms vs Tyrannosaurus Rex 🦖 arms!😂😂
❤the analogy!
Mountain!🏔️
The most effective concept is skipping legs
right :) Chest and biceps every day.
Mountain. Thanks Jason
Great reminders Jason. Set the ego aside. Don't worry about going from Point A to Point B. Figure out what works for you. Keep the tension on what you're trying to get results on. Good stuff Jason. Thanks for the reminders. Take care.
Solid advice! Mountain 💪
Saw some young guys squatting 225 using the knees over toes ramp a few weeks later their friends were asking them how their knees were doing. I did not even consider approaching them with this conversation about continuous tension because most people will only learn from direct experience,
Great info thanks mountain
thank you.
2:36 This is something I've learned from people like NH, Jonathan Warren, Alberto Nunej. Not pushing range of motion for the sake of range of motion. Keeping the tension on the muscle is what matters the most. I always had beat up lower back trying to do snatch grip RDL, even though my hamstrings were already out of the picture halfway through the motion, it is when I tried to listen to my body things were so much pain free.
I may have a big ego but it's ok. I like myself that way.
😂😂😂
I was wondering when the Forrest videos would return. MOUNTAIN, MOUNTAIN! Now all that's missing are birds and animals.
The trolls are loose.keeps more tension on Tricep not locking out.Mountain 💪🏽
Once I hit around 3/4 lockout, the only thing I get is a potential shoulder injury when I bench. At that near lockout range, I'm not even feeling it in my triceps, it's all shoulder for me. I've learned to keep my range of motion where the tension is, not where someone else says my range should be.
Definitely
A commen thing I here is you get shorter muscle if you don’t lock out and go alllll The Way - it’s so funny 😊
wat the MOUNTAIN says is 100% true, and i can attest to that. trolls need to do research before they try giving the MOUNTAIN tips.
Most insightful. I highly value your opinion.. What are your thoughts on diet in terms of macros? You think complex carbs are needed to be optimal or can keto be sustained while body building without compromising gains?
I think any diet that puts your body into starvation can work against you. I’m not saying that you can’t have lower macros in one area or several but absolutely none can be a problem
@NaturalGallantBodybuilding Ok that's pretty much how I've been feeling lately after being carnivore for a good while it was too caloricly restrictive.. You're clearly insightful & mindful of your joints..
You have a video discussing your experience with foods & inflammation?
keep the tension on
Im not saying your wrong, but its really hard to change the way you do it after doing it a certain way for so long
Do whatever you feel is right. It’s not about this way being right, only giving you some things to consider as you figure out what’s best for you. Mountain 😁
Hurts my elbows over time when I lock out with lots of pressing.
If you were pressing perpendicular to your body while in a decline position, you'd be loading the triceps at lockout lol.
Mountain.
Imagine how big you would be if you would have been locking out all these years! Jk 😂 that thought always makes me laugh when i read it
HA. Yeah people are hilarious
