VJKK, VJKF On this very rare occasion, Bhai sahib, I would have to disagree that Gurprasad is a new concept. It has been going since Satyug. For want of a better phrase, I think that Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj, came and "Standardised" the Guru/shish framework. This is , however, only an opinion. Please forgive my ego and any mistakes.🙏🏽

But begging your pardon, you have followed the common interpretation of 'Gur prasad' Humbly feel that, in keeping with the rest of the Mool Mantra, this too could be interpreted as the finale of the description of Onkaar (Waheguru). Gur could refer to the Almighty as the ultimate Guru (as referred to by Shri Guru Nanak Dev jee). Also, prasad could be the overall benevolence and kirpa that the Lord is ❤
