When you become a Christian does it mean that one has to adopt western culture and costume and western customs ? Was not Jesus born and brought up in an Asian Hebrew culture and customs ? Did He not wear His tradtional dress all along his life ? So why are these people instead of preserving Nepali culture, costumes and customs, adopting everything western as if Jesus was an American or European ?
I think you missed the most important part of this wedding. The dress is just what Christians have been wearing during the wedding, since the long time (and it is very insignificant ). Rather, you should understand to whom the wedding is focused on ( that is JESUS )and who is in the middle of this wedding ceremony( that is JESUS ).
@@hemantgurung7496 general people in Nepal do not see Jesus who is hidden but they see what is in front of their eyes. Therefore Nepali Christians should also show Nepalipan by wearing traditional/cultural costumes in special occassions like wedding rather than giving impression that Christianity is western.
@@shishirgurung5158 whether or not one accepts Jesus as his/her personal savior has nothing to do with culture and tradition and costume. But what I see in this wedding is the impression that Christianity is western which is wrong. If you guys are Nepali Christian then show to others your Christianity by deeds in a Nepali way. That way the people will feel Christianity is for every race, culture and tradition.

One need not give up one's own culture. What you said is absolutely right .
