Elephants visit my plunge pool at Arathusa Safari Lodge

- During my stay at Arathusa, I was so lucky to have numerous visits to the plunge pool outside my room by elephants! This was the first of their visits that I experienced. It was incredible to be so close to them! The babies are so adorable, and the interaction between the older ellies is really special. Listen with the volume on for some rumbling and trumpeting!

I had the same experience when I stayed there in 2018-twice during a three night stay the elephants came for a drink-so special!
Wow that is insane! But very cool. Did the hotel come and refill your pool afterwards 🤣 I’m looking at booking a safari to South Africa for our 10 year wedding anniversary and this lodge is a potential, what were the game drives like and the lodge in general?
It it a wonderful lodge with amazing game drives. You will not be disappointed!
