I highly recommend that if you do get the opportunity to see him live to do so! One of the best concerts I have been to and I swear that man makes his guitar sing as much as he does. He's absolutely phenomenal live! Also you should check out his song Death Row if you haven't yet.
James Brown, is too teir.. dangerous territory. Thats music royalty! First goal when covering a legend is to pay honor, second is to make sure you dont expose or embarrass yourself! Stapleton is one of very few midern srtist that can kind of do whatever he wants and its just seems right! He combines many genres of music. He doesn't fit in a box as many have previously mentioned! Yet, changes covers slightly when it is necessary seemingly while other times doing it the same way as the original w his vocals as the exception! Its really special!
