I’ve actually realised that the NFL, the way it’s presented; the multiple divisions, conferences and media access keeps things a lot more intriguing whereas I still love football (SOCCER), Ive just grown tired of the same narrative and same teams dominating every year because of the financial disparities between clubs. An ESL will create a more level playing field snd hopefully present the game in a more exciting manner. I’m not asking for reality TV show vibes or for the game to become like the NFL, but there’s a lot to be learnt from all this.
We already know that if the British clubs do not enter and prohibit the Scottish clubs from entering the Super League, there are interested nations that could occupy that space left by these clubs... it could be taken into account. For now, a non-FIFA Intercontinental Championship would be interesting: the nations of Africa, America, Asia and the Oceania have to do the same as Spain in Europe, denounce in court the abuse of FIFA's monopoly and the continental organizations that abuse the monopoly (in Europe it is UEFA).
In what way does it create a more level playing field? Will the same top teams not rise to the top and compete in the play offs and become richer still while everyone else doesn't? I'm not against the concept but I'm disappointed in the format. Groups of 8 teams? So you'll only be playing the same 7 teams? While eufas new champions league format means you'll be playing different teams every game giving poorer clubs the chance to get through to the last 16 against the odds because of lucky draws or/and a chance to get through to the last 16 in the 2 leg play off by beating a big team over 2 games? Im not sure how the esl format benefits smaller clubs.
It's very naive to think a super league created by the top clubs will help bridge the financial gap between the top clubs and the poorer clubs below them
One day VAR was just a "discussion". Im telling you now, football is going, they cant leave it alone, they wont leave it alone, and I am getting closer every day to turning my back on it. Ruined by money, ruined by idiot after idiot with big ideas, such a shame. But the saddest thing of all, is no matter what they do to it, people will still hand over their money like sheep. Not me
The way top teams will do this is by getting even bigger squads. Playing weaker teams in the FA Cup stop playing the carabo cup. Replacing the local cup comps with the Esl. Esl just needs to do a charm offensive on the fans and sell Esl as a better version of the champions league, with more competitive games. Until the champions leagues gets to the quarters it's pretty boring anyway. Ufea could solve the problem by getting rid of the CL and creating thwirnown ESL.

"RM and Barca" signifies they are the considered in the same light, both being the subject of the claim made in the statement. RM's debt is long term debt for the stadium refurb, not working debt, like Barsa's, who continued to borrow more and more to pay Me$$i and the rest of that squad, while RM preferred to sell Ronaldo than give him yet another pay rise, because they are responsibly managed. The stadium debt is a capital investment, not splaffing money on players who will come and go. Once it is finished it will be a fully functioning venue in the centre of the city, available the entire year, and will bring in over 200m extra revenue annually. As for spiraling costs, they have budgeted for years to leave room for the financing of the work, which they recently took the final chunk of to complete it. FFP is not about what a club spends on its infrastructure, it's about what it spends in the transfermarket in light of its revenue. Real Madrid have spent less than Bournemouth over the last decade in the transfer market. I don't think there is any club or business that doesn't want to increase its revenue - this is the primary objective of a businesses existence, and although RM is not a for profit business, but a social club, it operates in a business environment.

I think a European Super League could help the big teams in the small nations. The Scottish clubs should join a European Super League. Clubs like Glasgow Celtic, Glasgow Rangers, Hibernian, Motherwell, Inverness CT, Kilmarnock, Falkirk, Hearts, Dundee United, and Aberdeen could play in the European Super League.
The Super League would have three levels: Blue, equivalent to the Conference League, Gold: equivalent to Europe League, and Star: equivalent to the Champions League. Therefore it would help too to medium and small clubs, in large and small nations. All Clubs would have more income than they have now in the Conference League, Europe League and Champions League. It would be possible for several clubs from the Conference to reach the Europe League and the Champions League, improving season after season, modernizing and growing due to higher income.

It's very naive to think a super league created by the top clubs will help bridge the financial gap between the top clubs and the poorer clubs below them
As an American, I find it odd that you like the NFL. Many of us young people in USA have stopped watching that sport
The up roar last time was mainly about promotion and relegation now that's been changed it's a good idea let them go for it
What i would like someone to explain to me is in the initial season of this proposed Super League are the Star, Gold , Blue leagues are the places allocated strictly on the previous seasons League places in the various european leagues. It won’t happen with the EPL teams
If UEFA, the EPL and even FIFA don't start punishing the teams that cheat... Ahem Man City, then they have no grounds to object to a team not wanting to participate in their corrupt competition.
Wonder if this is going to be lije when F1 teams tried to break away from the FIA ane in the end it forced the FIA to sit down with the teams and make changes
pretty much that, why else did UEFA announce that they were scrapping the new proposed changes to the champions league that were scheduled to come into affect next season the day after the court ruling. The important thing here isn't the super league itself but the threat of competition which means UEFA and FIFA can be brought to heel by the football associations around the world.
UEFA and FIFA mad, i mean what did u expect, premier league spends so much money while rest of the europe gets sued if they do the same, UEFA and FIFA are the problem

@kwesifrimpong that's not true, at least not financially. RM cannot afford to splash money like most teams of the EPL, especially not the big clubs. Yes! and this because the ciubs would have more income because FIFA and UEFA would not steal 60% of the income from the clubs, which is why many British and German clubs are very interested. Bayer Leverkussen is first in the Bundesliga thanks to Alonso (Spanish Leverkussen), what would Leverkussen do if it had more income competing in the Super League, Bayer Munich's monopoly would end, the Bundesliga would be more interesting, it would have more excitement and more followers, Spanish Leverkussen. And if Spanish Arsenal, instead of playing the Champions League, played in the Super League, it would have more income and could continue competing for the title in the Premier every season, and if Spanish Liverpool had won the Super League instead of the Champions League, it would not have fallen into the hands of a American club. It's about that too! It is to modernize Football and improve all teams in all competitions.

won't a super league destroy players too cause if as you say this will happen, so if every countries leagues stick to their guns - that means the loss of all other comps so in England - join super league to win a single trophy or stay in prem, FA cup, Carabou cup, and the champ, euro or conf. so 4 trophies or 1 trophy - each all come with a cash prize too. end of the day the point of football is about who is best and bragging rights etc - the clubs owners may think the financial gain is worth it but clubs are nothing without the fans and the money and revenue that brings.
also if all the matches are free to watch, where's the revenue stream coming from to keep the league sustainable?

No, he's actually just speaking the truth about it, rather than adding to the hysteria that the rest of the media are trying to create.
What are the issues that need to be addressed? Issue 1 - There is too much money at the top of football. Issue 2 - Not enough churn, too many of the same clubs appear season after season, this is boring. A level playing field is required, the same qualifying process for all in the CL, the Champions of Finland The Champions of Spain etc, all the same, some of those coming 2nd to make up the numbers. The Super League will make all these problems worse. None of this changes the fact that UEFA FIFA etc are run by wankers.
👌👌
how does the ESL make the issues with the champions league worse? The top 16 playing each other is better than the top 36, and there will be more money in the game overall. They will distribute more than UEFA has ever done, and that includes throughout the entire sport.
RM and Barca are in large debt and they could clear it with the new money. When they do, they will dominate the game again.
What makes you think Real Madrid and Barcelona are the same entity? The two are completely different clubs, with completely different ways of being managed. Their respective levels of debt could not be any more different. That's why Barsa need to sell their best players and replace them with second rate journeymen, and Real Madrid continue to live within their means, buying the best young talent in the game.
@@abody499 The stadium investment at RM will probably spiral, and it will be attractive, all that extra cash, and potentially no FFP.
Meanwhile I never claimed RM and Barca are similar clubs, all I said was that they will both look at the money and like what they see. BTW - This is not about the relative merits of 2 clubs, this is about future competitions. So, please calm down.
@@abody499 You are talking to yourself about how you must reaffirm that RM are amazing and Barca are terrible. If you need to do that, then fine. The question is, why are boring me with it. The reason I mentioned the two clubs in the same sentence was because they both have not ruled out joining the proposed superleague. Do you understand that?
@alipanroosendaal9503 no, you mentioned them both in the same sentence because you spoke about their debt with a negative semantic prosody, and as if they are in a similar boat. i'm telling you their debts are completely different and they are run completely differently. do you understand that? if you don't want people to comment on your comments, then don't make them in the first place. you come across like you have no interest in football either.
