1. To what extent the partner has to support them. Should they tolerate physical abuse?
2. Both maaran and Karthik are going through something problematic at that particular stage in their life. Otherwise,they are shown as progressive men in various aspects. But, if a guy exhibits such a toxic behaviour in a day to day life without any crisis, should women has to tolerate just for the sake of supporting the partner?
3. Lastly, if the gender roles are reversed, if a herione goes through something psychotic, will a hero support her the same way as yamini and bommi? Will the hero tolerate her and wait for her revival or will he divorce her and remarry? If the answer is yes, then yamini and bommi tried to make their relationship work. If the answer is no, then they both are nothing but enablers.

I see your point. Just wanted to add relationship may not always be 50- 50. Atimes one will at 5 percent other will pull 95 percent. Parents/ in-law might get sick, issues with children, mental/physical health issues, failure. We do need other's shoulder or motivation but should let it go as extreme co dependant relationship. One should not lose their individuality by being a punch bag for other.
