    Please adopt and use metric officially for surveying in US as well, which gets rid of headaches like this! I am experiencing this exact issues as a survey technician!

    Maybe, maybe it would be simpler to use ... meter? I know, it is quite revolutionary idea, but it could help. I heard the rest of the world use meter.

      The rest of the world uses metres. A meter is a device. :)
