For me that's probably the most clever line Greg has ever written (in a song anyways). Just pointing out very succinctly that he's not putting his opinions out there for you to copy them, but rather for you to think for yourself and make up your own mind. Which I see as one of the most central messages of the band.
Generator was the first Bad Religion song I listened to in 1993 when I was 14 years old. It definitely changed my life like no other song did before and I am also very sure like no other song will ever again.

Someone posted that TWO BABIES IN THE DARK made no sense...I think it is about a couple, with children,in the Throws of Drug Addiction. If so, a real testament to so many who are suffering in the middle of a scourge on our society!
I was wrong. Found this: Brett: "Two Babies in the dark was about my little sister and when she was pregnant and the two babies in the dark are my sister and her unborn baby. You could say that that's what inspired the song, the song took on a life of its own, it actually became a song about babies having babies and young girls having babies, they themselves or maybe a friend in the world that is not really prepared for adulthood themselves."
