Zotov's voice actor for Ukrainian language was killed back in 2023. He is listed in the credits among other ~130 names in the section "In Memory of" in the credits. RIP
00:48 Gaffer says "Сядь, не маячь." (Sit, do not маячь.) "маячь" is idiom. "Маяк" means lighthouse. So "маячити" is a verb which is literally translating like "to lighthouse" . I usually use this verb when someone is annoying/distracting me by his presense in a sight like a blinking lighthouse. In english version of the game it was "stay out of sight" which is too formal and unemotional. Smth like "don't loom " will be much better here. Maybe someone knows better idiom, I would glad do know.
Укрїнська озвучка набагато краще бо без неї неможливо поглинути у атмосферу Чернобельскої зони. Англійська теж не погана але українська всеж у сердці. 🇺🇦
honestly I think overall both synchronizations are really not great... some even not good at all, but talking here about the hole game not just those scenes. In this scenes both seem to be mostly okay first scene even pretty good. For the english ones I really would have wished for an eastern accent. In alot of scenes it actually sounds way to much like someone is reading from the script but for the very first time. Reminded me of students that got asked to read passages from books back in schooldays. They also for the most miss emotions and awareness of the very situation.
@@avishnevsky7394 well for the Ukrainian part I cannot blame anyone but the many difficulties and the bad situation all around the Soviet Invasion, but at least for the English part those people overall (with maybe a few exceptions) really made a very bad job I think. Professionalism I don't see or rather hear, at all! Quite the opposite. While some scenes and moments are okay or good enough many are just terrible. The voices also often enough just wont match the characters leave alone the situation and with the missing accent to give it at least a feeling of immersion I often enough would rather like to use the Ukrainian language with english subtitles instead, but those aren't any better but just fit the location. This compared to the old STALKER games I really think its overall just awful! Pretty much all of the voice-actors must have had very bad or absolutly no motivation or talent. As I said earlier... some even sound like they just read it from a script (for the first time) and have trouble reading at all. Just like back in the schooldays when a student got told to read some lines from a book or handout. In terms of motivation and talent it just feels like that. Maybe they should have hired some fans of the game instead of some overpaid voiceactors or just random people with no relation to the game who sound like they didn't get payed at all.
@@paras1176 if I'm not mistaken, after russian invasion and relocation they had to re-hire new actors and redo all VA job, maybe it has something to do with worse quality.
@@monolith_sim_squad_veteran no, they clearly made a lipsync for english. In atomic heart for example there are 2 versions of animations, russian and english

In Ukrainian localisation Gaffer sound old, in English hi si sound like average man.
In this scene, Ukrainian all the way. Because it sounds very professional and more pleasant.

They made Gaffer so uncharismatic...
He runs a settlement of armed men, remember, so where is his charisma? Do you remember him at all?
What do you think - which language conveys the intensity of this challenging scene better?
Ukrainian
Озвучка солдата мені не сподобалась. Я цей голос у кожному фільмі чи серіалі, з українським перекладом чую

GSC hired professional VA for movies to do Ukrainian part, main character has voices of Deadpool and Thor

@@paras1176 i am sure that Ukrainian VA didn't cost a lot of money.
English VA is mediocre and the cost of it was way more bigger for sure.

Shame that facial animations recorded for english, not ukrainian
It must be a bug. For my play through I have encountered mixed facial animations in cutscenes
