AtrumDelorox I think the TARDIS is a much better futuristic invention. Besides all the usual stuff, you must also remember: it can create about any electronical device using the metal tree.
Why are Doctor Who fans the angriest sci-fi fans in the world? If you talk about the show and get one thing wrong, they eat you alive.

This is more of a general comment: Dear Glove and Boots, I am a HS teacher that encounters many stressful moments during the day. However, both my students and I have come to enjoy IMMENSELY your blogs as a way to unwind if we finish a lesson early. They actually push themselves for the chance to see the posts (even if they've seen them before). Thank you for what you folks have done. Watching them, I get thrown back to early Jim Henson work. Well done.

As someone who saw Doctor Who a few times, you have to understand how every other item in the show works to even understand the complete knowledge to have a laser pointer that actually can deactivate stuff like locks, can burn material like rope and be considered as a “screwdriver”

Moonbeam that's fine. The Jedi are the evil ones. Limiting emotion and human connection, taking kids away from their families at a young age, etc. The Sith at least encourage the embrace of emotions as it fuels their power. Sure, they screwed it up when it was decided only 2 Sith should exist at a time, but that;s why not all force users HAVE to go Jedi or Sith.

Actually... the light saber has been developed. Only a one little problem... the charged plasma they had to use for the blade... came out at roughly the same temperature as a small scale thermonuclear explosion... so it melts the emitter array in about 15 seconds, even with massive heat shielding made of ceramic and other heat dissipating materials super cooled with liquid nitrogen... and you to wear a reflective thermal suit like a volcanologist walking up to Mt. Kilauea with big bulky gloves... and the whole assembly more resembles a fleshlight sex toy than a sleek and slender sexy weapon of civilized death from the future...
... but hey... it does exist none the less!

Omg thank you for the sonic guys!!! And technically, Doctor Who is a movie because the eighth doctor appeared in Doctor Who: The Movie Special Edition before getting real episodes. To answer Mario's question, the sonic screwdriver opens anything but wooden doors. It also checks people's pulses and breaks electrical items.

BTW Have you guys from Gloves and Boots have ever heard of a 1986 Wes Craven film called "Deadly Friend"? It's another film with helping robots that also came out on the same year as "Short Circuit".

To mario and fafa the sonic screwdriver actually can open any door and work on any substance (except wood) but it is a really cool tool that the doctor uses and you should do your research before you talk about something you don't know about.

Nike is now planning on rereleasing the air mag on October 2015 the day Marty Mcfly went back to the futur but difference is with this release nike trademarked a auto lacing technology for em. Technicality there have been 3 Doctor Who movies, 2 of which were made in the 1960's starring Peter Cushing and the third film from 1996 starring Paul McGann. So Doctor Who does qualify.
