Yeah it makes more sense since she's been hurt by the male antagonist in the previous life. It's just normal she'd be more guarded in her new life against any men except her family. Although she said that the ml is her only choice, for collab, she's doesn't really fully trust him. She would rather do most of the dirty work even to the dismay of the ml coz she kept turning down ml's unsolicited help. Also, she's hellbent on her revenge, so no time for love life really...only cooperation/ally/partnership and nothing more than that. It was only when everything was settled that she gave in to love (ml's proposal). 😊

My congratulations to the writer. It is a VERY SATISFYING REVENGE STORY!! These 2 vile women: 1) the princess Luili died, 2) the female cousin (prince Ning’s concubine) got her tongue cut off. Plus, the prince had been in love with her since they were kids. I LOVE IT!!
This is a great reborn/revenge-plot costume production with great actors and a strong revenge-storyline. I love this sweet but strong FL and this calm and collected ML. Definitely well worth watching. SYNOPSIS - SPOILER ALERT!!! After her family being framed for treason by her husband the Emperor (2ML) they themselves helped ascend the throne, and his evil concubine (2FL), FL sees her brother being killed right in front of her and finds out that her child, the infant Crown Prince, was killed to make medicine for 2FL. FL is fed poisoned wine by 2FL. Arriving at her last moments is another Prince (ML), who wholeheartedly loves her, and she dies in his arms, thinking she chose the wrong person to follow. Somehow, she gets the opportunity to be reborn at a time before marrying 2ML. This time she wants to hold on to ML and take her revenge on those who hurt her and her family in her first life. Luckily, ML agrees to help her. Well, this has a happy ending.

This version of a rebirth story was better than ALL the ones i've watched (in any time period)!! 1. there's a condition included that adds some logic to the rebirth idea. I've seen plenty of comments that say "why aren't more people given this chance", so maybe they are but if the price is going to hell, not everyone is willing to. 2. there aren't a lot of flashbacks but the fl says what happened before, that way you don't have to watch the same scene twice which takes up screen time. 3. the fl doesn't cause stupid misunderstandings or constantly run back to the scumbag ex for any reason (to act, tell him off, or remind him she hates him). 4. the fl is extremely capable both intellectually and physically WITHOUT having a bunch of genius level abilities. She comes from a military family so it makes sense that she knows her way around weapons and isn't a dainty flower. FINALLY someone uses their hairpin to defend themselves! 5. The fl is INDEPENDENT and doesn't need constant rescuing or help from the ml. His status just makes things a bit easier to get things done. The ml also recognizes this very quickly, but rather than feeling used or jealous, is impressed and proud of her. The fl will even thank him even though she didn't need his help, just to say she appreciates him! Communication and a healthy relationship? 😱 I could go on like: how the subtitles are usually correct, there use actual songs that are appropriate for the scene, the ml and fl were cold blooded and didn't let ANYONE go when it came to revenge/wrong doing, etc. But in short, this was FANTASTIC and i wish there were more cdramas of this quality! ❤

The second visit, he said SOMEONE prayed for her return and then he asked her to pick out two "jin," as we called it in the temple--the sticks in bamboo can. He explained her two lives and without really being detailed, let her figure it out that she had a choice/path to pick. Luckily, our FL was a pretty smart girl :).

Divine Doctor:Daughter of the First Wife The drama is more than 95% similar to the 1st novel n only the Princess Le'an reminds me of the 2nd novel! This drama is extremely similar to the 1st novel!
Just call this absolute Queen Artemis or Diana - Queens of the Hunt from ancient mythology. She was ruthless and uncompromising in her pursuit of vengeance, meticulous and deadly and the true definition of 'take no prisoners'! You can almost imagine her bathing in the blood of her enemies! I need more FL roles like this! Kudos to the writers for this badass queen, and to this beautiful actress for embodying and owning the role. As for the ML....my my my but his voice gets me all tingly. That pretty face ain't bad either. I love that he was supportive/protective, and could be just as deadly as her when need be. Talk about couple goals. The two best lines - " I am an evil ghost crawling out of hell to seek your lives" and "Stealing? She was already mine". Pure Gold! They will make a glorious Emperor and Empress some day. This is definitely on the must watch again and again list.

I decided to watch this Drama because of the reviews. She did get all her revenge but it wasn’t exciting at all. Yes she did help the prince but was also very cold towards even after her second rebirth. No second watch for me but the ML is so handsome and his voice wow
Good revenge movie. It has echoes of Kill Bill in its ruthless elimination of enemies - a movie I don't like but this one is recommended for the satisfaction of vicarious justice.
I hate scheming/calculating and cunning characters the most. But on the fl, it couldn't be any better! She needs to be ruthless and conniving in order to fix the mistakes and mishaps she had in her previous life, and to also protect herself. This reborn was worth every bit of it!
Really enjoyed this version of the plot. FL was meticulous and calculating, saving her brother and father kept her focused. ML was smitten but his EQ was low, like his energy lol...on to the next!!!

1) I wish I was as smart as her when I was 15 :). 2) I love all the usual CEO assistant lines are given to the Advisor and the Prince (ML) talks back just like the CEOs in the rebirth dramas LOL. I'm just waiting for him to threaten sending the Advisor to Africa LOLOLOL. 3) This was so good, I wanted more minutes for the couple. I wanted to see their marriage and their getting together. The romance was a bit light but the ML's voice was to die-for. I'd have liked more intimacy in their relationship, even if it's verbal flirtation. She was so good at military strategy, surely she could have expressed some sexy military poem while doing a sexy sword dance, LOL. 4) They were very methodical and cold-blooded in their revenge. I mean, the FL really caused some serious bloody harm. No regrets, even at 15 years old! Yes, I understand they were adults in that era. I love the final revenge of stupid Evil 2FL. Talk about karma. 5) The subtitles were GOOD! No funny AI misunderstood words. 6) I guess we're supposed to come to the conclusion that ML became the Crown Prince and thus Emperor and FL became Empress, even though we didn't get to see Prince Ning's comeuppance.
ML is handsome. And his character maybe a cold one. But i think he rather fail in this. Sometimes he is indeed looking cold, but half others, his expression is stiff instead cold. Making him looks weird (example scene in academy test). His posture kinda awkwardly stiff too. Other than that, his acting is quite good. It doee not feel half hearted whatever act. FL also good. Actually, the villain also good. Not that impressively good but decently good. And storyline is the top. Its really really good

I hate scheming/calculating and cunning characters the most. But on the fl, it couldn't be any better! She needs to be ruthless and conniving in order to fix the mistakes and mishaps she had in her previous life, and to also protect herself. This reborn was worth every bit of it!

Really enjoyed this version of the plot. FL was meticulous and calculating, saving her brother and father kept her focused. ML was smitten but his EQ was low, like his energy lol...on to the next!!!

FL is too much. I like that she didnt instantly fall for the prince but why did she drag that long? She needs him when she wants, and when she doesn't, she acts like she dosent know him. 🙄🙄
I just realized that maybe the reason why the music is not being played is because of copyright. I am curious where I can find a full drama with music and English sub. I like the subbing in this one. Thank you to whoever made it. You're an angel to people who loves Chinese drama but don't understand the language. I wish I could learn but my brain just doesn't have the capacity for it.
this is a good drama and worth the watch.
1) I wish I was as smart as her when I was 15 :).
2) I love all the usual CEO assistant lines are given to the Advisor and the Prince (ML) talks back just like the CEOs in the rebirth dramas LOL. I'm just waiting for him to threaten sending the Advisor to Africa LOLOLOL.
3) This was so good, I wanted more minutes for the couple. I wanted to see their marriage and their getting together. The romance was a bit light but the ML's voice was to die-for. I'd have liked more intimacy in their relationship, even if it's verbal flirtation. She was so good at military strategy, surely she could have expressed some sexy military poem while doing a sexy sword dance, LOL.
4) They were very methodical and cold-blooded in their revenge. I mean, the FL really caused some serious bloody harm. No regrets, even at 15 years old! Yes, I understand they were adults in that era. I love the final revenge of stupid Evil 2FL. Talk about karma.
5) The subtitles were GOOD! No funny AI misunderstood words.
6) I guess we're supposed to come to the conclusion that ML became the Crown Prince and thus Emperor and FL became Empress, even though we didn't get to see Prince Ning's comeuppance.

ML is handsome. And his character maybe a cold one. But i think he rather fail in this. Sometimes he is indeed looking cold, but half others, his expression is stiff instead cold. Making him looks weird (example scene in academy test). His posture kinda awkwardly stiff too. Other than that, his acting is quite good. It doee not feel half hearted whatever act. FL also good. Actually, the villain also good. Not that impressively good but decently good. And storyline is the top. Its really really good

❤❤❤ RECOMMENDED ❤ this drama is 2h 34 min. I found it a delight to watch. Great plot and acting 👏 only one point was lacking. It would've been a PERFECT drama if the had spent just 5 more minutes on romance/emotional connection between FL ML. I mean they actually only developed emotions in the last 20min. Otherwise it was really great. Strong FL .
