looks like batu caves have undergone another round of painting since 2020. anyhow, you can visit more indian temples in malaysia like the one near the petalling street chinatown which is the starting point for the thaipusam procession in kl and the waterfall temple in penang near the botanical gardens.

A reminiscent of the place. I went there about 30 yrs ago. I think substantial renovation work was done inside the cave. Very colourful now.
