Hi, will you be updating to WI-FI 6 on any 5g router soon? I am very tempted with the RUTX50, and also concerned that it’s missing 802.11ax. (WI-FI 6) If I understand well, then using WI-FI 5 on the RUTX50 rather than WI-FI 6 is slowing down the full potential of this router.
Hey! We are currently focusing on other development priorities, so it might take some time to implement these changes in one of our devices. Nonetheless, as we continuously strive for improvement, we keep track of all suggestions and feature requests!
thanks for the presentation, i am interested to know if rutx50 supports gsmctl command to get 5g network radio parameters?
The following command may be used to acquire 5G network parameters:
gsmctl -A 'AT+QENG="servingcell"'
I would like to use two RUTX50 at different sites and tunnel traffic between them via VPN over 5g. The two different sites have devices that communicates with each other via the VPN tunnel, and those devices needs to be kept in sync with IEEE-1588v2 PTP. The RUTX50 has built-in GNSS. Would the hardware in the unit allow you to let the RUTX50 act as a PTPv2 Grandmaster clock at each site with help of the built-in GNSS?…to keep the two sites PTPv2 synchronised?
Sadly, Teltonika Networks devices do not support PTP.

@9:25 Gentleman answering the question if the 2 models share the same CPU, It sounds like his not straight forward and overthinking the question. A little concerning with the answer.
Looking at purchassing RUTX50 for broadcasting.
Not worried with outgoing (WIFI-6) just incoming.
The TRB500 indeed relies on the CPU within the 5G module, while the RUTX50 is equipped with an external CPU that is common across all devices in the RUTX series. We hope this helps to dispel any doubts you may have.
