I get the feeling your son is about to burst into a jazz icon. Musicians are taking notice of him!
OnSugarHill look, 3 years later and you're absolutely right.
6 months later and still going strong.
4 years later he won 2 grammy's xD
OnSugarHill lol
well, you were correct...
Because Suzie C teaches music herself, she was able to provide her brilliant son (from his earliest years) with the best possible circumstances for becoming a musician. Yes, Jacob is probably a musical genius, but it was his mum who enabled him to find himself. And in Finchley! Who would have imagined??????
in an interview i heard him say she worked on his perfect pitch starting at age 3 having him identify the notes of things around the house such the "Kirby" [vaccume] and the like. good mom.
@@raybankes7668 You don't work on Perfect Pitch. You have it or you don't. You work on Relative Pitch. Jacob is brilliant with complex harmony. Not sure if a high degree of pitch is important for that. You'd think so though. In this video he demonstrates an astounding vocal tonality doing very fast vocal note progressions. I don't see how that would be possible without Perfect Pitch. ua-cam.com/video/DnBr070vcNE/v-deo.html He sure does think fast!
@@bobhoskins9595 in that familiar clip June Lee can transcribe what Jacob plays or sings, again another wow music man, who im sure also have perfect pitch.
@@bobhoskins9595 no, you are wrong. Perfect pitch is aquired. But you can only get it till the age of 6.
Thank you for your lovely comment! We truly love playing together...
And I love listening to you both
I hope you and Jacob live a long long life. You deserve everything in the world. Please continue making music.
Suzie, what an amazing talent your son has! This is a remarkable, terrific musician. I see a long, long innovative career ahead for him. Love your sensitive playing as well!
nice foresight!
This aged well
You were 1000% right, Michael. 🙏✨
“innovative” is quite the understatement
@rmac1042 you knew....
"the lick" at 2:18!
Congratulations Suzie! You did good. And I'm not talking about your excellent violin playing. ;^)
What else could you mean
@@friendlyfriends5046 I think he means Jacob
Bigzell dude you just replied to a six year old comment
@@toshirobozdogan2207 no shit 🤣🤣
Jacob makes interesting choices in his playing. Simply brilliant from start to finish.
Damn 8 years ago i wasnt even playing and jacob was alrady a monster
all the comments on this video make me so nostalgic of 7-8 years ago lol
Thank you so! Sadly no written arrangement though, just a bit of improvisation...
You are an amazing artist!
Anybody send this video to June lee so he made more transcriptions
i wish i had a mum like you!...Jacob has obviously been surounded by music all his life and it shows! x
It is all in the family, and it is about time we got to enjoy this magic connection~ both talented. To me, Jacob is an up and coming musical genius, wishing you both the best of everything.
What a beautiful gift to share with your child. As someone with a musical parent, I can relate to the connection. Thank you for this, truly.
It's so lovely to see mother and son creating exquisite music together....wonderful! x
I discovered you last week through a famous(!) pal based in London. I am totally megga gobsmacked with your talent, young Jacob, and there's the clue...your mum, doing her stuff on the violin. This is just totally splendid. Your improvisation is superlative. Your piece The Road Not Taken I must have contibuted around 20 hits on the counter...just brilliant. Get a CD album out. I don't do downloads. My best to you, you have a long future ahead. Dave, from oop North!!
crying because it’s too beautiful
Quelle alchimie entre jacob et sa maman !!! L émotion et le talent réunis en symbiose. ...c est mon prozac à moi
J adore
We loved it! Jacob and Rosalie
What wonderful, soulful playing! I've never heard such good jazz violin in my life. :)
とても素晴らしい演奏をありがとうございます。心に沁みる映像でした。
Lovely.
We're a few cobblestones beyond this recording now.
What next, please?
Gracias, Suzie, por ser la mejor madre posible para este genio.
Sin tu dedicación y talento maternal y musical, hoy no disfrutaríamos de esta brillante estrella del cielo.
Gracias, gracias, gracias ❤
you really Rock, i mean Jazz... guys ! it's so nice & sweet to see you both sharing a true passion for music with such a lovely song. And Jacob, your other songs are playing in loop mode (also with "Dirty Loops" a swedish fusion band) all day long as my original working day soundtrack :) this gives me some great energy and a lot of good vibes ! i wish you release some CD of your own songs soon ! Oh and sorry for my average "english", i am French.
Wow this is such a good performance and Jacob has improved a lot since then
Jacob has amazing jazz-chops
Great job Mrs.Collier you and your son are fantastic!! :)
this makes me smile fromstart to finish 😊
Loved it! So funny watching the mom's reaction on his part - it's almost like she was ready to chime in several times then just let her son take away his part and let him do his thing until "he" was ready. Very talented - I know she is proud of this young man and his dedication to this art.
this was so beautiful! there's something so special about music when it's played with people you love.
it's absolutely incredible and insane to see how much Jacob has grown since these days. despite having no relationship whatsoever with this mega-talented family, I feel so proud.
So much musical talent in one family!
Thank you so! x
That unveils some of the mystery behind the genius of The Road Not Taken. Great job "mom" and Jacob too. As a parent and musician this is inspiring.
Such a lovely performance!!! Thank you so much!!!

could this be what happens when you dont stick your kid infront of a tv and use it as a child minder? if so ban all tvs
it can. however u will see he as the electronic age down too as in his more recent recordings. but yes there is so much more creativity with out the video games and screen time, and that goes for all areas of being creative, from cooking to working on cars or building stuff. etc.
@@GEMOTO the only issue is in reading or book or listening to a story without the visual provided for you, the listener/reader's own mind fills in the visual part. IN a TV or Movie or even an illustrated book the visual is given and the brain adopts that, so i somewhat disagree as each of us will have a different visual to any story told or read, that is what work or your brain actively making the visual now just passively seeing it. Great movies are important too, yet little ones need less of that and more of experiential imaginative experiences.
What ? .... You DON"T play violin Jacob ?
he can... :P
He is learning
That sounds terrific ! I like very much this arrangement. Where can I find the music sheet of the piano ?
