Jordan you are such a sweet grandson, you made grandpaw so happy. You can clearly see he went back in time just thinking about his time as a teenager. Grandpaw is pretty smart with things in his past. This vlog clearly made my day. I really enjoy your visits when you go visit your family. Thank you for letting us be a part of your visits. You created a fond memory not only for you but for grandpaw as well. God Bless grandpaw and you as well. Have a wonderful day. Peace, Love and Happiness.... Nada xx
My team! My town! One of my all time favorite Reds figures. Nothing like sitting at Riverfront with your radio to listen to Marty and Joe. Crosley was my mom's time, and she always spoke of it wth such love. And thank you, Grandpa for sharing your memories ❤
Your Grandad looks Amazingly well! I’m so glad you and he are spending time together - especially doing something you both clearly love 💕. Bless you both! From Vancouver Island, BC Canada 🇨🇦
Jordon, It is so wonderful that you have quality time with your grandfather. What a wonderful gentleman. It was so nice to watch your Granada eyes light up as he reminisced with you about the baseball field & some of the players. A truly memorable moment with your grandfather. Take care & love to you & Jah from Adelaide, South Australia
Thanks, Jordan. I loved seeing your grandfather. His memory is just fine. What an amazing man who has a wealth of knowledge. I hope you both really enjoyed yourselves.
Your grandpa is so sweet and I love hearing his throwback stories. Watching this brings back a lot of my own memories with my grandfather who passed in 2000. We would often spend time going to local sports events and would watch NFL Sundays. Enjoy every second with your grandpa!
What a lovely memory you have created for both of you. He was clearly in his element reminiscing on that field. Your grandfather is a treasure. Thank you for sharing him with us.
Your vlogs with your grandpa are extra special. He’s handsome. He’s got an amazing memory. Love hearing his stories and the precious time you get to spend with him and reminiscing with him about some of your growing up time. Thank you for sharing your grandpa with us. Great walk down memory lane. God bless you and your grandpa
I absolutely love your grandpa! My grandpa and I used to listen to Texas Rangers baseball on WBAP in the 70's. My grandpa gave me the love of baseball. Gaylord Perry, Jim's brother was a favorite of ours.❤️
Love to see you and your Grampa out having fun together! He's got a darn good memory and seemed to have a wonderful time visiting Crosley Field. Nice that you stopped by to pay your respects to Joe Nuxhall, too. Diana did a great job on your hair and Grampa's as well. Thanks for sharing it all with us!
It was nice to hear these names once again. Johnny Bench and Pete Rose Don Blasingame and many more I remember hearing with my Dad in the Car. Boy you pawpaw has a wonderful memory of baseball! Thank you for this vlog brings back memories of my Dads love of the game.. of course Vince Scully's voice announcing the Dodgers!!
I used to love hearing my Dad tell me stories of when he was a boy and when he was a young man. I treasure all those stories. You are so lucky to still have your amazing Grandpa to hang with. I bet he loves hanging out with you too. These are some of my favorite vlogs...you and your grandpa. Thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you for sharing your grandpa's memories with us. He has great stories. It's wonderful you're capturing some of them in vlogs. Be safe and take care.
A terrific Vlog. We're all 'locked down' at the moment in Scotland and feeling rather low as we can't see friends or family. This Vlog made my day. Spending time with you and your Grandfather was a tonic. Please thank your Grandfather for all his wonderful memories and both of you keep safe.
Anything with your grandpa, I love. I love that they saved the scoreboard and the stories about Nuxhall going to pitch at 15. Can you imagine being on a field among probably some people you would ask for an autograph and now pitching against? Thanks for the vlog. :)
Jordan, I’m a huge baseball fan so this was awesome to me. I know you’ve said before that you’d love to take your Pappaw to the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. Ive been and I think he would do fine. The drive from the airport in Albany to Cooperstown isn’t too bad. The Hall of Fame museum has places to sit down if needed. I’d love to see y’all go! I went with my dad last October and he has lung cancer. He took little breaks when needed. It was a dream come true!!
J.L.! SIR, you are TRULEY🙏BLESSED to have ur Papaw still SOOOO CLEAR MINDED to run around n vlog with. I myself, have no earth-bound Grandparents nor Parents! He just about had me in tears! 🙏God Bless🙏! Count ur lucky stars! Luv ur work! You n your family stay SAFE & HEALTHY!!
Wow! My dear late grandmother loved the Big Red Machine. I wish she could have heard you and your grandpa talk about Crosley Field and her beloved Pete Rose and Johnny Bench.
Jordan, if you remember, Mamaw loved Johnny Bench. She had a wall in the kitchen before it was remodeled that have tons of pictures of Johnny Bench. I have picture of her Johnny Bench wall.
I loved this video! I especially loved your grandpa talking baseball. It made me lonely for my grandpa. We were best friends. We talked about everything and laughed about even more. Thank you so much for this vlog.😊
💋The best vlogs are with your precious grandpa! My mother grew up in that area. Thanks for sharing this. Continued Blessings and Support. ~Love&Light💖Carli
Back in the mid sixties I worked for WLW as a stage manager. I worked at Crosley Field on some of the Reds Games keeping score. When NBC came to town Mel Allen was their manager. Later my wife and I moved to LA where I directed sitcoms. I really enjoy your channel.
LOVE, LOVE this vlog....it must have been wonderful for your Grandpa to relive his memories ..it brought back a lot of memories for me from the 70's with the big red machine..i was a mets fan back than...thanks Jordan...Fantastic work as usual...
This was very nice vlog. Great to see you enjoying this with your Pappaw, you know he did & brought back memories for him too. Crosley Field was designed with the same dimensions as the real field and several hundred seats were preserved for Blue Ash. Scoreboard unfortunately is a reproduction of the last game Played at Crosley with the original line up and games that were playing around the leagues. Would have been neat if replica River Front had the simulated base path setup the way the real one did. Thank you to your Pappaw for joining in.
Love grandpa! Baseball does bring family together, especially the Reds. I remember Marty and Joe and those silly Kroger commercials. Old Marge sitting in the stands with Shotzie. Being allowed to stay up late on a school night to watch Pete Rose make his historical homerun. Being from west central Ohio the Reds is a way of life. So much so that back in 90 we had a wedding in North Carolina and of course the world series had to be on somewhere. The only thing anybody remembers about the Cleveland Indians is the movie Major League but the Reds has a legacy. The Big Red Machine will live on! I hope you can do a few more vlogs with Grandpa. Cherish those moments.
I loved this so much! Your grandpa is a doll! My mom was born in 1932 and was a huge Reds fan. Her favorite was Ewell Blackwell and he came THAT close to getting two consecutive no hitters like Vander Meer. (His second was broken up in the 9th by Eddie Stanky.)
Hi Jordan! Your grandpa has an amazing memory! I see where you get your love of history. I loved getting to hang around with you gentlemen today. Fun and facinating video. Enjoy your weekend. Blessings - Judith 🎵🍁
Jordan, your grandfather is so adorable. He kind of reminds of my dad had he still been alive he would have been 94. My dad used to have a good memory like your grandfather does.
I didn't make it to Crosley Field but I was at Riverfront several times during the "Big Red Machine" era, and I have been to "Great American Ballpark". Enjoyed this one. Brought back memories. So glad you get to visit these places with your papaw.
Jordan you are having a fun time with your Grandfather he is a lovely gentleman spending time together is so important in the times we are living now sport brings people together as in Ireland it's a big part of life and looking forward to the day when it's gets back to normal Sending lots of Love to your Grandfather and Jordan keep safe good wishes to all Lionheart's keep well Marie Dublin Ireland
I vaguely remember Crosley Field. I grew up in Toledo, so obviously I would watch the Detroit Tigers play more then the Cincinnati Reds. I remember Riverfront Stadium and Tiger Field more then Crosley Field. But Your grandfather has good memories of the players and the stadium. Bless him
Your grandfather was naming the 1975 Reds team! I remember them well. They broke my heart, being a Red Sox fan! Best World Series ever! Best wishes to you and your family! Jah too!
How awesome, Mr. Jordan. Praise God for your relationship with your Grandfather! I'm 54, and I remember those Red's players. I'm originally from WI, and I noticed on the scoreboard, that the Milwaukee Brewers were 2-10 and in the American League!
Hi Jordan, nice to see you hanging out with your remarkable grand father. Stick in best wishes to you and your granddad Jim and Derek, all the way from bonny Scotland
I drove through Spring Grove Cemetery and saw the grave of Waite Hoyt on top of a rise. On subsequent visits I could never find it again. Always keep an eye out for it.
Great tour! Thanks so much!! The Reds final lineup (9th inning) as depicted on the scoreboard for 24 May, 1970 was: 14- Rose- RF, 28- Tolan- CF, 24- Perez 3B, 5- Bench C, 23- May 1B, 16- Jimmy (super-sub) Stewart- LF, 19- Helms- 2B, 12- Chaney- SS, 31- McGlothlin-P. Starting pitcher Jim McGlothlin had left the game after the 7th inning though. There is also the yellow, home run line on the scoreboard. That was only on there in the last 2-3 years of Crosley's existence. Before that, any ball hit anywhere off the scoreboard was still in play. That robbed many good hitters (especially Frank Robinson) plenty of career home runs.
Another GRANDSLAM!! Ok the first part of when you and your Grandpa went and got your haircuts from your longtime friend was just the most adorable part of the vlog. Your Gpa is very sharp and knows his baseball stuff!! I really love Baseball fields especially the old ones and even though that was a replica of the original Crosley, the fact that they keep a lot of it and the scoreboard really kept to the integrity of it. I am not even a bit Baseball or sports person but I appreciate what it has meant and Field of Dreams is one of my most favorite movies.
This was the most surreal vlog of yours that I have ever watched. My grandparents are both buried inside that very mosoulium where Joe is buried. We just had my grandmother's funeral weeks ago, so I was recently there. I live in Hamilton, so I'm very familiar with the area, Crosley Field and Joe Nuxhall. I really enjoy your vlogs with your grandpa, you are very blessed to have him. Great vlog. Oh, btw, hope you had some Skyline while you were in the area 😀😀.
That was awesome Jordan! I like old baseball talk. A lot of knowledge with your grandpa being there. I'm a lefty batter also. Lol Was nice of your friend to give you guys haircuts.
“The old left hander, rounding 3rd and heading for home”. Listened my whole childhood and after. Remember my papaw n memaw were hooked too even west coast games that needed 1-2 am I’d hear the radio turn off as soon as over. 😂.
Love when you came back to our great state of Ohio. You’re in my city of Hamilton my grandma and grandpa is right by Joe and didn’t know if you knew this but the Bob Evans in Fairfield Joe was an everyday customer , they even gold plated his name in the seat he sat at everyday.
I apologize for it, but I laughed at the idea of your Grandpa with Blue Hair! I was in the middle of editing a video when this popped up, good inspiration!!

I remember a REDS game back in the 70's. (listening on the radio,WLW 700) Joe was broadcasting, when a foul ball came back and Joe tried to catch it. Joe fumbled the catch and the ball went flying away. Clearly, someone from the crowd shouted out "Hey Joe, you didn't have your Wheaties."

Luckily got to play at New Crosley a couple time for baseball tournaments in Blue Ash. Dream come true and those hills suck to run up full speed when you’re chasing a fly ball lol

Love hearing grandpa memories
You're bringing back stories of my youth. Thank you Jordan and Pap-pa from me in Dayton Ohio.
My father took me to Reds games when I was a kid. It was such a big deal for me. Of course it was the current field. Wonderful trip down memory lane.
Anything with your grandpa, I love. I love that they saved the scoreboard and the stories about Nuxhall going to pitch at 15. Can you imagine being on a field among probably some people you would ask for an autograph and now pitching against? Thanks for the vlog. :)

Hi Jordan, a couple of fine haircuts there! I love those signed plaques. Well, you're Grandpa certainly knows his baseball. Great vlog Jordan.
I just discovered your channel and this is the 3rd video I've seen(I'm catching up). I loved listening to your grandpa's baseball memories.

What a sweet grandpa.❤️
So nice to see you doing this with you grandpa
Great to see you and your Grandfather . You make a great team. M. Belinda Davis in NC
Love watching you all from the UK, sending love.

A classic American Story! A boy and his Grandpa at a classic ball park!! Awesome!
I always enjoy seeing your Grandpa.
Just one frantistic video my friend. Love the old ball parks. As hard as they try they just don't build the new parks like the ones of old
“The old left hander, rounding 3rd and heading for home”. Listened my whole childhood and after. Remember my papaw n memaw were hooked too even west coast games that needed 1-2 am I’d hear the radio turn off as soon as over. 😂.
Your grandpa is an awesome man and loves you very much. There was a time when Baseball was king in Ohio
Really enjoy seeing your grandfather. He’s so interesting.
Your grandfather is cool! I love that you have a great relationship with him.
So much enjoy your vlogs and enjoy your pawpaw. Thanks Jordan 👍🐕😎
You showed great respect to your Grandad by not correcting his mistakes. That's honoring your Elders, Family - Nice!
I don't think he realizes the number they had up were from the last game at crosley
Hi Jordan this baseball vlog was great especially your Granddad reminiscing old time BB and naming the Big Red Machine, seeing Crosly Field was amazing! I loved so much you and your grandfather bantering Red BB and recalling Joe Nuxall !!!👏👍🏼 Hope you can get to Cooperstown for your Grandfather and for me !!!
this was awesome. i am a life long fan and many memories of joe the old left hander. loved your grandpa
What memories for your Grandfather....I know you know are lucky you are to spend time with him....Also thank you for "One Solitary Life".
Always loved end of the broadcast the ole lefthander rounding third and heading for home fond memories
Having followed sports for most of my life, Nuxhall was a hell of a pitcher in his day. Today one of the best in his day Whitey Ford (Yankees) passed away.
Yay good to see you both out on trips. And we can see where you get your mind set from. 😁. Stay safe.
I remember a REDS game back in the 70's. (listening on the radio,WLW 700)
Joe was broadcasting, when a foul ball came back and Joe tried to catch it.
Joe fumbled the catch and the ball went flying away.
Clearly, someone from the crowd shouted out "Hey Joe, you didn't have your Wheaties."
Grandfather’s hair looks really nice, such a handsome guy🥰
Even though I'm from Tennessee I was a New York Met fan since 1969 when I first started watching baseball and I did respect the Big Red Machine but my memory of Joe Nuxhall is him in the broadcast booth one night when the Mets and reds were playing proposing a trade Kal Daniels for Darryl Strawberry he said it would be an even trade for both teams and I remember thinking he must be drinking beer in the booth like Harry Caray
oh yeah when harry was doing the white sox before the cubs, he would be drunk by the 7th inning lol
I love your grandpa. He is so sharp. Love his new haircut too.
I had to watch your video a second time, Joe Morgan just past away and your grandfather had mentioned his name. RIP Joe.
Luckily got to play at New Crosley a couple time for baseball tournaments in Blue Ash. Dream come true and those hills suck to run up full speed when you’re chasing a fly ball lol
Great vlog thank you Jordan
