Just took the Ceilo out on an easy run with some tempo at the end. The easy pace felt just as good as if I used my Skyward X. This shoe is definitely awesome. Odd to walk in though 😂
@@ADyess086 hopefully my comments can help you out. I have the Mach x2 and am returning. It just feels firm to me. The Cielo feels way better. Also the Mach X2 upper just isn't comfortable. While the Cielo's upper isn't padded comfort like the Skyward, it isn't bad like the Mach X2. It's just there and is tolerable and has a lot more volume (I got the X2 in wide and it isn't as roomy as the Cielo). Skyward X and Cielo X1 is a great rotation.
@@jkinnison1990 I returned my Mach x2 as well. The skyward x has definitely been a favorite. I tried the cielo on today and really enjoyed them as well.
This video just cost me $300 (Canada). I’m so in love with the Tecton x3 and was in need of a new road shoe. When you compared it to the cielo x1 it made the decision easy. Can’t wait for them to arrive!
Great video guys! Love your podcast! As a big Hoka fan, I have the Cielo x1 and was wondering if Thomas would recommend them for a marathon? I was thinking of using my Skyward X but thinking of using the Cielo? Thoughts???
Cielo is a GREAT option. I just did a 22 miler yesterday in it. Can pick up the pace, but is also leg saving. If your trying for sub 3 you may want something a little more business like, but Cielo X1 is an amazing shoe that can do it all.
My only concern with the Mach X2, is that heal or lack of support! The midsole sounds like a winner but have been hearing folks getting beat up with the heal.
Mach X2 has a superb midsole. Seriously outstanding. Unfortunately tho it cut up my heel bad on the first run. Didn't want to fiddle with it too much and deal with issues so sent it back. So sad, as that could've been the PERFECT shoe in terms of feel, bounce and propolsion. I may try it again after marathon season. Not sure why they simply didn't use the Mach 6 heel which is perfect.
Mach 6 is fantastic, needed wide version. Prefer the Mach 5, shoe of greatness. Mach x 2 may get if on big enough discount, but seems to have heal issues. In Thailand Saucony priced more competitively than Hoka. Mach 6 almost same price as Speed 4. X2 15% more expensive than Speed 4. Hope Clifton 10 has better midsole, 9 died fast.
Fortunately Hoka added an outsole to the Mach 6, but unfortunately they also added a pointy toebox. :( Can't wait to try the Cielo X1, once I summon the courage to insult my bank account.
Speedgoat 6 ain't it. Surprised it made your list. Reviews on it have been pretty brutal across the board. I put 17 miles in mine before I returned them because they were killing my feet.
I have a Hoka Mafate 4 and love it. No issues with the toebox being too narrow. But yes its a 2023 shoe.
Mach 6 😤😤😤 enjoyed the 5 had to jump on the 6…looking to try the Mach x 2 as a race shoe. Figure it’d be a good intro into plated shoes
Really thinking of getting those Skyward X, look amazing!
First Like to Meaghan, Thomas and Robbe. I prefer the Hoka mach 6. Happy weekend.
Another banger thank y'all.

Own and love the skyward x. Bought the Mach x2 and pretty disappointed but considering the cielo x1 to compliment.

Thankfully, they switched out the laces on the two latest colorways of the Cielo x1. They definitely heard the complaints!
Can confirm the black colorway comes with new laces!
What's the other colorway w/ new laces, the white?
@@kmshultz I think so.
@@kmshultz Yes. Only the blue and red have the old (bad) laces.
I've sent my hokas back 3 times... on my 4th pair to get the size right. Need a wide for sure and a size down from my norm
Diggin the old cinema clip intos
Thomas always flexin that tecton 2.5😂
I love it so much

whens the rocket x 3 dropping 👀
But is that Gundam Believe long sleeve available anywhere?
Great video btw

마하 x2 정말 최고
Forgot the Skyflow. Sleeper max cush easy day shoe of the year!
Skyflow? My favourite the moment.
New to the channel but is Robbe David Spade’s running doppelgänger? Great content BTW.
you should mention the speedgoat 6 is a much firmer ride than previous models
5:00 «I know the booty can be kinda polarizing» sounds like a discarded Destiny’s Child song title.
Most of the shoes Hoka have are too narrow for my feet or lack height in the toe box which is a shame.
They have wide sizes
Order the wide version 😉
@@CorGP rocket and Mach x don’t come in wide.
@@funkyfragrancelover2979 that’s true. Most brands not named New Balance don’t offer their plated shoes in wide.

Easily brand of the year.
