11:20 My first awakening happened during many simultaneous changes of different aspects of my life (physiologically and psychologically). There is a scientific concept called "disruptive practices" where disrupting normal processes can lead to a change in perspective, which could possibly facilitate a radical break like spiritual awakening. So "painting on a blank canvas" is definitely a good poetic pointer to this concept. Your story is also very inspiring, because I'm also studying psychology with the hopes of spreading awareness about spirituality just like you :)
I awoke several months ago. Couldn't have imagined that such an experience was possible. Went from an atheist to a non dual experience in an instance. Science was the only reality to me until I had the oneness experience very much the same as you shared. Much bliss followed also a strong connection to people. 😊
what a beautiful spiritual awakening😌 just wake up when you wake up in the morning, nice! i can relate to your experience afterwards totally. you explain it very acurate. i also had a spontanious awakening 2 years ago 🙏🦋 but in the evening, sitting on the couch and did self inquiry for my first time 😉
yes, thx for that question, i see there is room for interpretation in my comment. it was january 21 in the evening, i was sitting on the couch and watched video about "Ramana Maharshi's" self inquiry. so i closed my eyes, asked the question "who is actually the one in here who is perceiving these thoughts?" and it just clicked...i could see (or hear, don't remember exactly) how thoughts were passing by, waiting to be logged in....but i didn't..and what was left was pure consciousness, pure life, pure love, pure me ❤️ then i was lmao...because it's actually very simple.... since then i am awake 🤷 i think it is grace, we can not force it.
generally it seems 'spiritual' paths are a hindrance to 'spiritual' experience... or as unhelpful as conventionally materialist frames of reference, for some people... it's difficult for the mind not to search for answers somewhere and thus to re-wound itself with various beliefs. many are convinced they are lacking when this is not true... nor false.
Thank you for sharing your story, Jessica. Your work is valuable.

sounds awesome! Do you mean you did self inquiry and that led to your experience, or it was the other way around?
