After years of suffering and not knowing why, I finally saw a doctor and was diagnosed with celiac disease. It's been a huge change in my life over the last couple weeks, and one of the more depressing ones I've had to deal with. Suddenly this whole world of food I'd known my entire life was cut off from me, and it's been a hard transition to realize that nearly everything has some kind of wheat product in it. That I have to look vigorously through the labels of everything I buy at the grocery store and that even simple things such as lunch meats may contain wheat products in them. This video, and the other one on this channel starring Jennifer Esposito, have made me cry because it's opening my world up a little bit more again. I miss simple things like bagels and muffins, and you better damn well believe I will be buying her cookbook. I'm looking forward to the recipes inside it! Thank you so, so, so much!!

Ordering from Jennifers Way bakery is the highlight of my life. Having celiac sprue for all of us is full of amazing single ingredient foods. Her baked products make for a great addition to our medical diet. It is healing food for all that have many allergies along with intolerances. Thank you for healthy non-gluten treats!!

Going gluten-free has been one of the most difficult processes in my life; I miss being able to eat baked goods. I'm glad Jenn's recipes will let me indulge my cravings in a healthy way. Definitely buying her cookbook!

I had a psychologist who recommended giving a gluten-free diet a shot, saying it would help reduce my anxiety levels. I was very skeptical of her suggestion, and I decided not to try it. I couldn't find any evidence to support her claim, which hinged on the fact that my uncle has had coelia for a few decades, and thus there's a bit of a family history.
I don't think that's the case with you, though. You're actually a diagnosed coeliac, aren't you? I imagine you've been gluten-free for several years now, and not of your own volition. Or am I mistaken?

You should give it a try. Gluten-induced anxiety has been linked to the consumption of foods rich in gluten by those who suffer from behavioral and neurological conditions. I suffer from anxiety/depression and ridding myself of these foods has alleviated most symptoms.
      No, I have a non-celiac gluten sensitivity.

I'll look into it. It's very possible that I myself have a sensitivity to gluten, although my anxieties and depression also stem from other identifiable sources.
How long have you been gluten-free? It's hard to believe that in the two years of knowing you, I was totally unaware of the fact that you adhered to a gluten-free diet.

Also, were you professionally tested and diagnosed by a doctor as having a gluten sensitivity? If not, you should probably consider doing so. Even if you feel better after eliminating it from your diet, be sure that it's actually the absence of gluten that has caused your condition to improve, rather than just having a healthier diet in general. That way you'll know whether or not you can eat cookies and cake in moderation again.

Kurtis C. Less than a year. It's personal and not something I feel I must broadcast.

Gosh, she is of Italian descent so her name should be pronounced differently, with the stress on the first 'o'.
