Hi, thank you for the good video. since the (lip/groove) feature doing in multibody part is not associate back to the original file. ============================ step1)2 Individual part a, b step2)mutltibody part = a + b step3)save bodies = A + B ============================ first, is that mean part a,b is only modelling until cavity stage. then proceed to multibody part to proceed core stage?? second, may i know step3 is it associate back to step2?? thank you in advance.
Hello. Tanks for this helpful video. SolidWorks pomp out to me that the above file name is invalid when I try to create an assembly file or save the parts. I tried to save files to a different file path. But it didn't work as well. Why may it cause? I use 2022 version.
Just out of curiosity, should the lip and groove run symmetrically down the centre of your object? Currently doing a project at uni and its slightly to the left of the central plane. thanks
hi! I'm HAVING A SERIES PROBLEM- when I'm trying use the fastening feature... it's like, grey... like inaccessible, like I DON'T have the option to use it. and I do see it, it's not like the tool bar disappear, it's just like unusable! WTF??????,
Hi אביב בן עירי, The fastening feature would be unavailable until a solid body is made in your workspace. So, if you have been modeling with surface features and have not yet formed a solid from them the fastening feature would be unavailable for you to use.
Thank you for a clearly defined description of this feature.
How do you change the tolerance between the lip and groove?
I was struggling with the feature. It's unnecessarily confusing to use. Thanks for explaining how to use it!
Hi, Can you post a link to the video of how you created this part up until the point shown?

thx Mark. I am also looking for a video that accomplishes a lip groove in a multi-body build, without saving bodies.
Can you share this sample file please?
Thank you for the excellent explanation.
Thank you for watching and for your comment. Have a great day.
great video!!
Thank you! We appreciate you watching. Be sure to share your favorite videos.
That was really helpful! Thank you so much!

Thanks for your video, it's really helpful :)
Glad to hear that!
This is great, but how do I now add screw holes & parts for the screws to screw into? Do you have a tut that covers it ?
Thanks.
Hole wizard is your friend.
solidworks even has a screw post feature built in
Great Video ...Thank you
