UPDATE :) since this video i did do as I suggested - I wore it with MUFE pore smoothing primer and a setting spray and it was perfect! applied gorgeous, didnt look so cakey, just had a nice flawless look with a pretty finish and lasted all day

This doesn't cling to dry patches on me at all, and it's legit waterproof, I live in Florida and this holds up at LEAST 6 hours of sweat

I work for MAC & This foundation is actually BEST for normal to dry skin. Because it is a nourishing foundation. I think when she put the powder all over her face is what clenched on to her dry spots. But if she didn't put that powder all over her face , just make sure you use moisturizer and a primer that's more hydrating . She also did put a bit much under the eyes. At MAC "the smaller the tube, the less product you need" a lot goes along way. She should've just put the powder on the spots where she gets oily. Careblend or studio sculpt powder is best on top of this foundation if you are dry and need a powder. And if you're oily the pro long powder is best on top. Also I find the foundation best applied with a duo fibre brush to really stipple it into the skin. Overall I think the foundation starts to look better and better throughout the day . Very hydrating and luminous to the skin. Hope this helps some of you, if not go to your local MAC counter and ask what's best for you or get a sample 😎

moe delossantos I think she just did the powder because that is what she normally does. Ive heard this is not the best for really dry skin girls like myself. Girls at the mac store i went to even suggested i stay away when i went in to check this out for myself.
I have oily skin & I absolutely love this foundation , they came out with the Pro Long Wear powder for people with oily skin to set on top of this foundation.
This foundation is for all skin types. I was just saying it is best for normal to dry because it's nourishing. But when they launched this it also launched with a powder for the oily skin people lol
did she use moisturizer and primer before? these steps seriously make a difference.

I know this is late, but when a MAC artist was applying this on me she urged me to always use a very good moisturizer right before applying. This may help.

The MAC artist gave me a few tips for this foundation...
1st. a little goes a LONG way! Hence why you get less than 1 FL oz like normal foundations. Too much product can deff make it appear cakey.
Also... when it says concealer, its the face and blemishes it works great for, it's not designed for under eye concealing and or highlighting.
Once I got those tips this foundation went from my return pile to my holy grail summer option! I wore it at a pool party with the MUFE profusion waterproof bronzer and both stayed in place even after submerging in the pool! It's awesome!!
I included the bronzer in my monthly favorites
I loooveee love love the two together!
P.s. those 2 face products plus Anastasia pomade is litterally water and bullet proof summer makeup! I even use the bronzer as eyeshadow!

I recently picked up this foundation and when I set it with powder I used fix+ over top of it and it honestly made a huuuuge difference

Sarah Robinson Estee Lauder Double Wear. I applied it on my skin at 8:30am, and it was on my debutante ball, so i was dancing under boiling hot lights all night, and went partying, didn't get home till 4am, and my makeup was still absolutely flawless, and was still a bit annoying to remove. Trust me on this.
one thing i don't like about mac foundations its that they get orange after a while using them, no matter what i do, i use powder, fix+ everything, they always get kinda orange
MAC foundations have always been the same for me. I've tried a few and they start off ok, but mainly they are very orange! Even NC20 which looks pale, was orange 😣
I had the same problem, it's called "oxidizing." Speaking from personal experience, I have oily skin type, so when I used just the MAC foundations by themselves they oxidized due to my oils mixing with the foundation ingredients. What made that stop for me was using a primer. I used a water base primer for my water based foundations and a silicon based primer for my silicon foundation. That stopped the orange cast for me! Hope that may have helped!

Tried castor oil on my brows and lashes. Definitely worked on my brows. It works well and fast, too. On my lashes...I don't know. I like to believe it works. Hehe. Just gotta do it every night before you sleep.:)

Could u please do a 6th grade makeup tutorial I'm going into 6th grade and idk what kind of makeup to use
For me (cause you shouldn't have to much acne and shouldn't wear a full face personally) would be just a bit of mascara and powder foundation with some lip gloss on some days a light neutral eyeshadow on your lid but really no more cause you don't want to be known as a cake face :)
For me in 6th grade I had acne and in 5th grade and I still do have acne and I'm going to 8th grade. I think you should put on some bb cream, try the one from loreal. It's light weight and doesn't give that much coverage. If you have acne then just spot conceal the set with powder and add some bronzer(optional) and finish with mascara. Or you can conceal under your eyes and set with powder and add mascara.
Oh and or course some lip balm

I would say to wear no makeup when you're this young, but if you have any uneven texture, a tinted moisturizer or bb cream would be a good base. Eyeliner, lip balm/gloss, and mascara.
Just for reference, I started actually wearing makeup at age 17 with eyeliner. Now 3 years pass, I tried all face, eye, and lip products that I can afford. I do full face once or twice a week. If I want to wear any makeup, its eye primer, neutral eyeshadows, eyeliner, and lipstick.
Being that young, you don't need makeup. I'm sure your pretty without it! 💛

I have totally fallen in love with this foundation! I do not have dry skin, so it sits very nicely on my face. I apply it with a damp Beauty Blender and use the damp blender to apply a setting powder as well. A little goes a long way for me- I got a sample at MAC and used it for a couple of weeks! I feel like this foundation gives me the most flawless finish without feeling too heavy. Thanks for the review, Shannon!

From my experience with clients and personal use, this foundation is loved by dry skinned individuals. I have dry skin and do find it very nourishing & do not experience any issues with dryness or pores. It is for sure water proof, I went swimming in it lol although is not tear proof. I had my grandpas funeral and it completely cut through it after about 15 minutes. But with the studio fix powder I was easily able to rebuff it into my skin. I have been through an entire tube and still love it even into my second. Great review shann

I've been loving my Complexion Rescue recently. It's been soooo hot where I live lately so I haven't been wearing heavy makeup. It's a great way to keep my makeup light while still getting a bit of coverage. It also has SPF, which is a plus in my book since I'm so fair skinned.
