Cheers Rob! I'm big fan of your art. Exellent intanation. Sure and calm. Warm tone. May be I'll try to play withougt nails too... some day) Excuse me if my question is faq. What mic do you use?
Hi Rob: Excellent and beautiful rendition of such wonderful pieces by Barrios, you play so effortlessly and sooo beautifully ... I'm starting to learn Classical Guitar, for a month (more or less) I've been struggling - nails - no nails - nails - no nails, love the sound of the Guitar without nails, but I have a huge doubt: "Tremolo", can it be done / achieved / mastered without nails? Hope you can get back to me with an Illuminating Answer. Waiting for your kind response, till then, thank you in advance, all the very best. Joran
Sounds fantastic Rob. I'm trying to get used to playing with no nails as they always break due to my work! Is it possible to play tremolo pieces though? I struggle to get any clarity. All the best
Thanks for the tip dpg, found this in Rob's site: _"I confess my tremolo is quiet. I’d be vastly over-praising myself by quoting Pujol: “the tremolo is no longer metallic and brilliant, but acquires an ethereal sonority”. The sad fact is that my tremolo needs work, but it was never a strength of mine even before I cut my nails off and went over to the dark side! This is a Work In Progress…"_
It's most certainly possible. Emilio Pujol and his students played tremolo pieces. Here's an example of Manuel Cubedo's no nails tremolo: ua-cam.com/video/8uw_zHubhH8/v-deo.html Great playing BTW, Rob!
Very interesting link Tate, thanks, the Thumb Arpeggios sound WAY too "Staccato" in my novice opinion, but the "ima" fingers sound very very nice, thanks again.
Sorry the synchronisation is out in Julia Florida, the last item. Just close your eyes - better that way!
On most days Barrios is my favorite guitar composer. His compositions bear his own unique imprint so unmistakably.
You are right. The best guitar composer since Sor.
I believe the guitar is a very intimate instrument. Your recitals have such a warm feeling. This one is just fantastic!
Thank you! Appreciated.
Haven’t listened in a while. Very beautiful! Thanks Rob! Send out more when you have time!
Cheers, David.

Exquisite playing.
beautiful playing. Your tone is so pleasing to the ear, I wish more players would embrace this approach.
Cheers, Julian. I get emails, two or three a week, from people who are changing to no-nails playing. The revolution is under way! Slowly...

Muchas gracias, Efraín. He escuchado muchas cosas buenas sobre las guitarras Pimentel.
