I just wanted to say I love your videos. I watch more than 20 house builds videos per week and yours is the most exciting. Your house is unique and beautifully modern. Looking forward to see your finishes.
you guys😃 how has this been 3 years?!?! It's just amazing how far you TWO have come. thanks so much for sharing this on YT. I know it's a struggle to do both.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👩🏾🦳👍🏾👍🏾😃
Great job guys. I think you should use those four foot sheets. For a garage door. Since you have so much wildlife there. That will keep the animals from camping out in your garage.
Things are really coming together and you have a stunning site, the views are magnificent! It's been fun to watch this journey you're on. Thanks for sharing.
Some of you might think that is an unconventional way to move a 4 by 8 sheet. I am a carpenter and put my back out several times carrying sheet goods the conventional way. So, I started to lift them by backing up to the vertically placed sheet and grabbing it about 4 feet up and resting it on my back. No more twisted spine.
Talk about putting your nose to the grinding stone, must be exciting to see the final containers placed and welded. Been a fun ride watching your progress and the astounding work ethic you two have.
Looking good, it’s amazing what you both have achieved so far keep up the great work looking forward to the next instalment xx take care. Barrie in the UK.
looks really good y'all can't wait til the next video when the sixth container goes up (and whenever the seventh is in place) I know it's a beaut ~ I love the scenery also 💖
The house is looking is Awesome, I love your design concept and can't wait to see what else you guys do with the finished design ! Just curious, if I may ask, does your property allow you direct access to the ocean ? Because the area looks so cool where you are located and it would be so nice, if you can make some trails to the beach, Take care, Love your channel !!
Nice job again , everthing is coming together, your hard work make the difference! My question is what is your timeframe were you actually can move in to your new container home? I love the way your house is looking as for sofar. I wish we could build such a house in ouur country. Probably never going to happen. Thumbs up from my side again
Thank you!! We gave up putting a timeline on it because we don't know how long it will take us to do things we've never done lol. So it will take the time it will take I guess! :)
Thank you!! I think we might thin a few of the branches but we will leave most of the trees because it helps protect against the wind and gives us privacy. :)

We've followed since you two built the concrete tubes to place your first container and feel like we're watching family. We visit the Oregon Coast from Seattle several times each year for pleasure and hope we are close as we go down from Astoria through Newport. I know you are past this point of construction, but we wish you both would use more safety protection (like harnesses with security ropes) when you are working more than 10 feet off the ground. We hate to think of either of you getting hurt on this ambitious project. Sound like grandparents speaking?
Thank you so much!! I totally understand. We do take safety seriously and do the best we can with what we have but I know it does look sketchy sometimes. Thanks for following along on our journey!! :)
I follow you from Denmark, I like your youtube channel, and it's nice to see that you both work hard to make it work, are you from the USA or maybe somewhere else

My wife is English as am I, but from different parts of England. She thought forehead was spelt forrid 😂
Lol that's a good one :)

Am guessing you used the surplus panels to form the subfloor of a concrete deck above the garage?
That's a good guess :)

Thx so much!! We might remove a few branches but we plan to keep the trees because it offers privacy and helps protect against the wind. :)

You sure have a beautiful view of the ocean from that drone shot. Do plan to thin out a few trees to enhance the view from your home?

I think that the cut-out panels will be the side walls of your stairwell. As for cutting on the ground, it can't fall far.
Good point! :)
That fluffy boots Ad tho...
entry way
Are you building more than one home this other containers for geust.?
For now this will be our home but who knows what the future will bring! :)
watching you from kz 👍
Thx for watching! :)
I'm curious how's your local planning officials or city codes allow for containers as housing? Not the same in California.
Every county has different requirements for building, and ours allows it. I know there's a couple container houses near San Diego and Joshua tree.

Why your hubby doesn't talk on the vlog
Not everybody's comfortable talking into a camera or being slated for not talking,it's a choice not a hard fast rule!
He starts to hop in front of the camera more as we progress in the build :)
Ok I just was worrieding
