The hate for the pound for pound king Terence Bud Crawford continues! Go back and watch the full fight again and turn down the bias dazn commentary outside of Shawn Porter. You will see TBC won 10-2. Bud won rounds 1-4,6,7,8,10-12! I had Madrimov winning the 8th round initially and I watched it again and he clearly lost that round!
Pretty similar to my scorecard. I had it 115-113 Crawford, and that was with awarding Madrimov all of the swing rounds. I had Crawford winning: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 11, 12. Madrimov winning: 5, 7, 8, 9, 10. Again, I was being generous to Madrimov. 116-112 Crawford is absolutely a feasible scorecard.

I must’ve watched a different fight madrimov had bud on his back the whole fight n bud throw double the amount of punches n only landed 9 or 10 more he was getting hit with the more solid shots especially in the middle rounds this fight could’ve with either way to buds credit he did hurt him twice n the championship rounds but the fight was closer than people think I thought madrimov edged him in the middle rounds

At some point we have to look at and appreciate how Crawford has become a master of delivering spirit breaking body shots.
I mean Bud's opponents start off fighting with confidence. Then Bud starts touching them to the body and then suddenly his opponents abandon their game plans and the confidence that they entered the ring with disappears from their faces. Then their movements around the ring start slowing down noticably.
Their hands start dropping to protect their stomachs and ribs. And all that combines to make their heads stationary targets.
Bud Crawford is the modern day Mike "The Body Snatcher" McCallum.
And if you don't know who Mike McCallum is then do your research.
He used to spar with Tommy "The Hitman" Hearns at Kronk Gym. So Tommy already knew what time it was ⏰. Mike McCallum was the fighter NOBODY wanted smoke with. And that includes: Sugar Ray Leonard, Tommy Hearns, Roberto Duran and believe it or not Marvelous Marvin Hagler.
And Marvelous Marvin was one of my heroes as I was growing up because he was from Newark New Jersey like me.

I’ve went back to rewatch this fight 3 times already. Madrimov LOOKED like the challenger and not the Champion. Yes Madrimov did great with footwork and body movement. But he lost the fight at most he won 3 rounds.

The commentary was clearly biased. All Mora kept talking about was the overhand rights that Madrimov kept missing. And then when he did land then it confirmed what Mora wanted to see. Bud was clearly the effective aggressor. He actually threw combinations. Landed jabs and power shots and engaged more. Madrimov was just loading up on rights. Not enough to win at all.
