- Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the fantastic game of Stardew Valley. As always today we will be asking if Stardew Valley is a perfectly balanced game with no exploits. Or if this is only the case when Excluding Unlimited Gold + Stardrops. This game is fantastic it went from a basic farming simulator to working on stardew valley android. And even stardew valley multiplayer. This game has seen a lot even an active stardew valley mod community. Today however we will be finding some classically fun video game exploits. Most of these exploits have been around since the games launch and can be discovered when looking into the games files.

I started playing Stardew Valley in version 1.4 when tea had just been added, so I was really confused to hear Spiff stating that tea was not in the game...

I love indie games. Stardew, hollow knight, and no mans sky are some of my favourite games, made more impressive by the size of their teams

I tried it on the mobile port, it doesn't spawn a stardrop whenever you use a stardrop if you name favourite thing as the stardrop code [434], then again, it could work on the PC version but I don't have it.
It apparently doesn't I tried it. but i wasn't getting extra things. also for some reason Gus doesn't call me by my name when i went to try this myself. :/

I bought a tea tree sapling from the traveling merchant very early in my first play through so I was really confused about the tea discourse bc I didnt realize that it was hard to get it
the tea trees werent properly in the game until late 2019!
It isn't hard to get, it just wasn't ingame when this video was created. If you reach a certain amount if hearts with Caroline (not a huge amount) you get a free tea sapling too

I have a mod for spawning items in Stardew... once accidentally gave myself a stack of star drops... 255, and there was no way to skip the stardrop get animation. I had to wait through 255 air toss, chomp, text box... about 50 into the pile, I walked away from my computer... about twenty minutes later, I come back and it's nearly done, and I can't even see the energy bar max...
I loved how when this glitch was first found, the dev's reaction was to intentionally leave it in, stating that if a player goes through this much trouble, they deserve an unintentional cheat mode.

@@klouddyl It's not directly patched, but they did make it much more difficult to get someone to say your name. Gus should still say it once now, but that's it. I think once you get to the point of having animals on your farm, naming them like this may trigger it?

I like how they removed carolines daughter because she didn't like tea, then in a later update it's caroline who lets you access tea and gives you the recipe to plant tea leafs

You can actually use the ID trick to softlock yourself by putting your favorite thing as the item ID for a star drop, causing you to forever eat stardrops

I think this was the first of your videos I ever saw, it was nice watching it again during a couple day binge of stardew valley content. Laughed pretty hard when you said half a million was probably more than you could earn year 1 without cheating.
Is it really an exploit when the game developer put it in on purpose, told people how to use it, and then released the entire item code list for people to use? I think this falls more under a purposeful cheat put in by the dev.
It was taken out of the game recently
@@TruzzleBruh It was taken out because it could cause issues on the Switch console version of the game. So it was removed for all console versions. it's still active for the PC version of the game, however.

I dont think Spiff realized it was only one person who made stardew Valley and it was just part time project on the side.
It was not a part time project on the side. He literally spent 10 hours a day for a year to make this game. He only didn't work on it on the weekends becuase he worked at a movie theater.

i was getting some DDLC vibes at the end there.
Bats are actually a pretty damn good choice for the cave, especially if you like creating artisan products like wine. They leave you fruit all year, even when that particular fruit is out of season, and has the potential for you to slowly collect and stockpile more than a single fruit tree can give you in a season. If you get the botanist foraging perk, the bat fruit counts as forage, and everything from the cave will become iridium star quality
Funny thing about him saying it's "Way easier" to get the bus by doing the Joja Development Center thing is that the bus repair comes from the Vault anyone, so it's literally just money, and the Joja version only costs 2500 less lol

There are so many glitches and bugs and exploits in gen 1 that Skyrim is in 2nd place in the leaderboard for most glitched/broken/bugged game of all time
I deleted a couple comments I made after this because they took up space and we're unnecessary.
Pokemon gen 1 glitches go as far as memory editing and game reprogramming. I don't think Skyrim comes even close to that.

One of my favorites ive done is if you build your base in certain spots, and start a building outside your base but never put any materials in the construction, enemies will always go to the unfinished building and never attack your gate. its a pretty cheesy exploit. there are more too.

You should play "My time in Portia". It's a perfectly balanced game with no exploits (except an item duplication glitch that you can use to make yourself all powerful and break the game's economy) and on top of that it has TEA in it! You can't grow this tea yourself but you can buy it, you can brew it, and you can drink it.

You also don’t need all of the money! All you need is a coop and a chicken! You name the chicken [261][434][74] if you need to shorten it, take out [434]. [261] is a warp desert totem and [74] is a prismatic shard. You need to be at the desert holding a prismatic shard to get the galaxy sword.

I’ve got a new challenge for you: Trying to break terraria
pre hardmode fishing, open the crates during hardmode. not BROKEN per se, but it's EXTREMELY helpful to very quickly get as many of ALL 6 demon altar ores
There is a dupe in terraria which is really easy to do
You can duplicate most any liquid quite easily, but I don't know if tea is one of them.

Edit: I was correct, and he mentioned DF. :) Also the galaxy sword is not the strongest weapon in the game. When you get the galaxy sword other galaxy weapons are unlocked for purchase in the Adventure Guild next to the mine, the galaxy hammer sold there is the strongest weapon in the game
it's debatable as the galaxy sword has a faster swing speed. the master slingshot has the highest possible damage per hit if your willing to use iridium ore.
