I see many people commenting on this video while misunderstanding its intentions. The video is not about calling players toxic as people, it’s not meant to offend anyone, still, it seems many are taking it as a personal attack. If more people would look at it with a positive perspective, instead of worrying about defending themselves, they would definitely improve! Taking it as a personal attack is not necessary, since the video is actually about in game behaviors that can be considered toxic aka decisions that are made intentionally and that will certainly impact the game negatively. Not about when you’re still new and haven’t met players who use the “Thank you!” message sarcastically, you still think it’s a genuine message. I see people using it while being healed a lot in casual. It gains a different meaning as you continue playing it, you will see it being used in a very unpleasant way. Maybe you say it genuinely while being healed, but the other player who is kiting, and perhaps just took a hit, will see that as a complaint. As you saying their kite was bad. Believe me, I’ve seen this exact situation happening. That shouldn’t be the meaning of this message, but unfortunately that’s what it has become since, more often than not, players use it in a toxic way. The video isn’t about terror shock either, but when you know that’s gonna happen and you’re at full health, you still take the risk. Especially when you’re the first kiter, that could drastically change the outcome of the game. You want to avoid getting downed fast, when all the ciphers are less than 50%. That’s also why Rin uses the gun at the beginning, in the gameplay. Instead of getting downed at 5 ciphers, that one shot saved him and allowed him to kite for 3 ciphers. It made it possible for it to be a win. The video isn’t about double rescuing, it might be good in some cases when the last cipher is being primed and you want to secure a rescue, but it’s about doing so when it’s not necessary. When you could be productive and more useful to the team, when you could easily be ciphering. It’s not about the persona build you bring when playing with your friends in a custom match, 2v8 or casual. You can do anything, it won’t affect anyone’s win rates or their opportunities to rank up. Borrowed time is expected though, it’s extremely useful. So when you’re playing with randoms, they will wait for you to take a hit before popping the last one. Many of these things may come off as simple mistakes, especially if you’re new to the game or if you aren’t into ranking, which is completely fine. But those who follow this channel and know it well understand that these do not apply to new players or casual matches. Rin streams high tier rank matches almost every day, many times soloq, and his intentions are always to try to help everyone out and have fun too. I think many people underestimate him as a player and I think some are taking this video and a word way too seriously. It’s just a game, right, why not just enjoy playing it~? Commenting here and calling him a hypocrite when he’s just trying to help instead of practicing and trying to become a better player yourself isn’t that ethical or logical as you may perceive it to be either. For all of those who read this lengthy thing here, you’re a legend kdjbfks thank you for the time and I hope you all have a great day
You are very right i face it many times, so i keep saying "get of here" to the player who close to the hunter circling around They all knocked down and we lose but, what's funny is i met real friendly hunter and i keep "saying get out here" after that the Survivor team mad at me at post match XD well you cant blame me i met so Many friendly hunter technique:3
•Pastelle•パステル very valid when it’s end game and hunter has detention or if the team mate has half health. but some of my team mates say that when none of those apply, I’m obligated to save them because If I don’t then we have one less survivor, which is not good. decoding will slow down and cipher rush won’t happen, plus if I save them they can kite a little longer and waste time.
I literally got bashed by a minds eye and priestess in post-match because of that, like I told them to not rescue me since I was having ping issues like 900ms and they still rescued me despite me pinging don’t rescue me and they blamed me for ruining the game lol.
For some reason i hate people that running around and not ciphering, i alrd kited hunter for 120 second and 4 pallet stun, and still 4 cipher, i mean really?
That's true The only time that ever happens to me and my team mates is when the kiter accidentally runs into all of us and now we're just having a panic party XD
imo toxic is a word that gets thrown around the idv fandom alot that something small like getting TS'ed earlygame is considered toxic but i agree w the thank you spams and not decoding tbh
We agree. We feel like getting terrorshocked is more of an accident, and for it to be seen as toxic is rather disappointing. Thank you spammers, however, are rather toxic. We had this one match where this Merc spammed thank you instead of rescue like bruh.
It seems like a lot of these points are pointing out the ways that some players just suck or don’t know how to play the game. What I consider toxic are things that players do just to incite anger or annoyance in other players. Examples are spamming thank you when waiting for saves (for sure) and waiting and emoting at the gate when the survivors have a guaranteed win.
if u get terror shocked after knowing u Will get hit while vaulting, instead of taking the hit normally, then it's intentional and not a mistake. automatically ppl will think you are throwing. why risk the terror shock when you are full health? straight up throwing a game, and throwing a game is toxic. same goes with with not bring borrowed time, it's the most game-changing persona, the best and most useful persona in the game, so there's a reason why ppl will think you are throwing if you don't have it.
@@airasleep I usually get terror shock by accident either because I lagged or because I'm one hit away from going down and I try to go over anyway. Why the hell would I do something like that intentionally unless it was a last resort gamble or an accident? As for borrowed time, I can agree with that. You can change your persona builds anytime and not having borrowed time is just ignoring how much it can help you in a match.
@@bunnytuffie Not a good idea considering the negative connotations the phrase has earned itself. No matter how you mean it, you must have known it was toxic, so why risk having people misunderstand you?
Well it really depends. When we talk about rescuing. It’s fine if we trade off sometimes. Let’s say u are mercenary and u are far away from chair and you are almost done with your cipher. Let’s say coord finish and is near chair. She can take the first rescue from u since she’s already done with her cipher. It’s all about timing and coordination :)
meya meya late but I relate to this so hard 👁👄👁 I played with this one doctor who rescued like 4 times without tide when I was grave and was the only one decoding and it was just a mess
meya meya lol I’m a doc main, and i don’t save unless needed, but Somtimes i get frustrated in rank. It’s like i almost always have to rescue, because these randoms refuse to do it😭. Worst of all they be a merc or coord
Me and my teammates always go with who's nearest and who's not done with the cipher Our Minds Eye rescues more than our Mechanic believe it or not and that's mostly because our Minds Eye is always nearest the chair when it happens XD Let's just say she's also our best rescuer atm lmao
I feel like you're throwing around the word toxic too comfortably. Some of these are just flat out mistakes and you can easily fix them or politely inform them about it in post chat. I personally was using thank you a lot up until a month ago when somebody told me in post chat it wasn't nice. I was using it genuinely and I quickly corrected my behavior. I understand a lot of people recognize they're being toxic but there's also people who don't. No hate, I just wanted to let you know 💖
Finally. I thought that too, like the first, it’s not toxic, you don’t do it for a malicious purpose or to bother your teammates. I think Toxic gameplay is when you do something purposely to anger other players. Half of the things he said are just mistakes or annoying things we all have done, makes it feel more like a rant about things that gets him mad and that makes him lose seriousness
megan duke Okay. I wasn’t the only one. I was like, granted, I am a noob, but these are kind of stupid. Not having borrowed time is somehow toxic?! When was this an unwritten law?
its britneybyotch cipher pop is a very crucial thing in this game that depends on the persona “borrowed time”. In mid tiers and high tiers it’s expected, and it’s even used in low tiers. If a player doesn’t have borrowed time they’re practically throwing the match at this point(though there are some exceptions.)
But we can still win without borrowed time. People are acting like losing a match or lowering the chances of victory is ‘toxic’...those are just mistakes, and sometimes even high tier players make mistakes. Toxic is when a player purposely harasses or points the blame at another.
but this is more of throwing a match, toxic is like emoting people on matches, stalking the hunter as enchantress or seer or something and spamming the ability, saying thank you is a big thing i agree
Enchantress starts with nothing so I usually wait to get 3 stacks to save someone (if I can). Also if there's one or two ciphers left I follow the survivor and hunter to body block and gain time. That's not toxic, I just try to help my team
@@tatianitsaful well that's cause it's strategic. Usually it's very easy to tell when someone is toxic. They start immediately when they should be decoding (5 ciphers left), dont actually body block, and if the hunter changes targets to them, they go down quickly
I remember one time I thought the hunter was friendly... Turns out they just had really bad wifi and I emoted at them using a cheering emote for mechanic while they were chasing somebody cause they kept stopping when they got close 😂 I do feel a bit bad tho
I'm glad you talked about the staying at the gate thing cause I cannot stress how many times I've lost a win/draw just bc someone decided to troll at the gate and then get knocked and chaired.
Bro ik it’s pathetic to just rant abt someone in qm, but damn, this priestess died so we lost cuz of her, she keeps saying sorry in quick messages, sorry for what? Just to do some taunting? Srry hun,but in ranks ur gonna do so bad, this also happened while me and doc r chaired. now u can do this when you know ur gonna escape cuz morals be damned in this community
Throw back to that time I pulled off an epic save in the basement (unchaired two people by stunning and juking the hunter with Prospector). We all make it out and we somehow lose the hunter. Then, the two people I just saved? They decided to hide. Where? Back in the fu*king basement. Where they INSTANTLY got chaired again. I gave up on that match ;-;
I remember this one time where my friend and I were playing a game in quick match on the map Moonlit with a toxic Enchantress. My friend got found early game by the Hell Ember and ended up having to kite the hunter near mansion. Halfway through her kite, I finished my cipher and saw that only four ciphers were done. Seeing as the fourth stop cipher was closest to me, I decided to go there to decode. When I got there, I saw enchantress and priestess decoding together. Like, you could’ve had two ciphers left and knew that my friend was kiting the hunter? My friend got caught around 120 seconds in and was chaired early. Seeing as I was a Female Dancer, I assumed that either Enchantress or Priestess would save since they were both closer to her than me. Instead, they saved my friend way after her halfway line and didn’t even bodyblock. Fast forward a few minutes into the match - we somehow get to 1 cipher left and have enchantress decoding. I used a quick chat to tell them that my cipher at the back of mansion was primed. Priestess finds me and then starts to heal me out of nowhere. At the time, I thought Enchantress was still getting chased, so I was somewhat alright with it. Then Hell Ember teleports nearby and runs over to us. Priestess doesn’t let me go until Hell Ember is about to strike, causing me to take the hit instead. Enchantress then decides it’s a good idea to pop the cipher they were working on right after Hell Ember had me chaired. Enchantress gets the save on me, but got it over my line. Priestess is downed by a puppet, and Enchantress by the hunter. I was able to escape through dungeon, though we still lost the game. Enchantress in post chat goes “thanks female dancer”. I didn’t see them type that at the time and asked them “why did you pop cipher early”. Their excuse? “It was an accident...I HELPED YOU THO.” They didn’t own up to the mistake at all. I then tell them that maybe if them and Priestess didn’t decode together than it would’ve been faster. Enchantress denies that they ever decoded with each other in the whole match, even after I LITERALLY SAW THEM AT FOURTH STOP TOGETHER. When my friend died, they kept spectating and said that Enchantress and Priestess were still decoding together. So I told them to instead promote cipher rushing by decoding separately. “Tf?” Hell Ember then takes Enchantress’s side and says to calm down, when the toxic one was Enchantress. Enchantress then says that I could’ve saved them and that it was my fault we lost. Um, hunter had detention, I was on half health, and I would’ve died on chair? Yeah, toxic people are annoying...
I’mSleepy The thing is that Enchantress was blaming op for their loss even though her decoding together with priestess was the actual reason. Enchantress saving after the line everytime was also a reason they lost. And I think you should tell that Enchantress that she was making a big deal out of it since its a *quick match*
Koshi I mean decoding together does waste time but it doesn’t affect the match as much but her blaming it on someone else is toxic But from her perspective I see she’s kinda making a big deal out of enchantress and priestess decoding together,at the end of the day it’s just a game, there’s really no need to bad mouth someone over some game
aw im sad to see that thank you is seen as toxic :( i always make sure to tell my team mates thank you when they're healing me or if they rescue. i just want to thank them but i understand there are jerks who use it to be toxic. but in a way there's graffiti and that kinda gets a friendly message across
I'll add on that even when "Thank you" is used genuinely, it may not come off that way to the other teammates if they dont know the context. Say you are injuired and the doctor is healing you, and you ping "Thank you". Only the doctor knows you mean it sincerely, but the other two teammates might not and think you mean it sarcastically. If you really want to have a message to cheer on your teammates in qm, i suggest using "Come on, Keep it up!" as it is used less in a toxic way. In ranked though, I suggest removing any emotional messages like those and "sorry" and using that spot for more important messages like "Cipher machine primed" or "The dungeon is here"
same here but when people started saying that saying thank you is toxic I was like what why😭like how am I gonna thank people for healing for rescuing me🙁
I mean, i today kited the Hunter super long as seer and didnt get chaired and had One owl and i had Tide, so i rescued Merc with detention and we both got out..... It was a 4 man xD
Sammeeee 😂😂😂 but i stopped saying Thank you when healed because some Survivors didn’t know what is happening (they don’t know that i’m being healed) so they misunderstood it and thought that i was spamming Thank You. In exchange, I just say the healing time as a Thank You
Same, several times happened that I'm healing someone and they say thank you, so I immediately say the healing time so the other survivors don't think they're toxic
It’s ok for both surv and hunter to emote, but not hitting chair. I normally click like for hunter, but not when they purposely hit the chair. Many chinese players see hitting chair as very rude.
hanamih IDV personally I rarely emote but when there is for example a mind's eye in the team I emote just so that the hunter stays on me so idk if it’s toxic (srry for my bad English)
hanamih IDV i usually just emote while kiting not to be toxic towards the hunter but because tHE DANCE EMOTE OF PERFUMER IS SO PRETTY I CANT HELP IT SORRY
I never play rank but I can kite rank 5 hunters why: I hop in rank match. Teammate 1 dies in 5 second. The rest of the team all goes and get terror shocked. I hop on another match. I kite 5 ciphers, I died. The 2 teammates at gate. Emoting, then dies. The other one saves. Also dies. End of the match I complain. Teammates: it’s just a game omg your so toxic.
Literally this happens to me and my duo whenever we hop in rank match. We talk in post chat because we’re annoyed at the fact that it could’ve been a victory instead of a draw, or a draw instead of a loss. Even when we just say things like “be aware if cipher is primed next time” we get called toxic? Compare that to the people who say “thanks (name)”
nah, if the player is doing stuff intentionally to "troll" then yes it is toxic, as it does intentiontally ruin everyone else's experierence on the match, but that's already obvious in itself tho some of these def are over-reaching as they can be very basic mistakes or lack of experience/knowledge if not intentional, mostly just based on other players usually misunderstanding and calling everything toxic too lol
I had a “friendly” duo hunter match a few seasons ago. They chaired (I think?) 7 people because my teammates didn’t realize what was going on until the first few or so got downed with detention. The hunters then said that it was our fault for being so trustful towards them in the post match chat.
I've had an Enchantress bring the hunter over to me on purpose. Before match I had told everyone that I prefer to decode alone ((I'm a minds eye main and minds eye gets little to no calibrations at all, so she's faster)) My ping is very bad so I can't really do them. Anyway, She kept trying to decode with me and I put down graffiti then moved away, She proceeded to spam thank you. I ignored it, Then when the last cipher was primed. She brought the hunter to me and I ended up getting chased and downed, She waited until I was chaired to pop the cipher and I unfortunately didn't get saved ₍⁽˚⑅̆˚⁾₎
Before you comment about the terror shock part, I want to clarify something. If you guys did not understand what I was trying to say, let me try again. When I say getting terror shock is toxic, I do not mean the terror shock by chance kind of thing. I'm talking about when you know you are gonna get terror shock if you vault that window or pallet, but you do it anyways. That is toxic.
I don't consider it toxic since there new players do that most of the time but I don't agree is that when that person goes down and the other player say "thank you" that's toxic unless if they manage to a clutch play then u say "thank you"
@@senpaiowo3094 feels i am a coordinator i was going for the save wuhu prisoner whose the main coder joins the save and gets chaired instead... IAMA LIKE BRAH WHOSE GONNA CODE hahha .. we lost that match .. it was against bonbon
I used to spam “thank you” when I died because I literally was thankful for the good match and teammates and was extremely confused why someone told me to stop being toxic in a post match, glad I know now.
What about when they come up to the rocket chair, only to emote or refuse to save you? That has to be considered really toxic. There were a few times that happened to me.
That has happened to me, a perfumer came to the rocket chair I was tied on emoted at me and ran away started decoding she called me trash even though I kited for 120s and saved her 2 times.
@@user-uc6hl6pr1j something similar happened to me on a match w a friend, this rando started being rude for no reason in chat to everyone, turns out they got caught first by the hunter (purposefully even, hunter saw me but ignored n went straight to the toxic player) none of us even bothered saving them lmao
It happened to me when i said "gl everyone have fun dying" and the hunter just chaired me and the teammates were emoting with him :') I didnt knot that it was like Toxic from my side
As a rescuer main, sometimes I emote near the chair to trick the hunter so the hunter would think I was interacting with the chair (but actually it was emote). Because some hunters will wait the rescuer to interact with the chair so the rescuer will get terror shocked. For those who "refuse" to save you, they probably failed to trick the hunter, they were waiting for the hunter to hit them but it turns out that the hunter was waiting until the chair time is over. P.S English is not my first language
Cipher priming is also very impt! Know wen to cipher prime. Dont cipher prime wen some1 is on chair likee srsly pls. And the one kiting, wen u see ur teammate say cipher prime, end the kiting session by getting a hit. If u prolonged ur kiting, ur teammates would start having crows ard them. And for the love of god dont bring hunter to the primed cipher
Also dont touch cipher wen the other member has said tht its primed, cos u might accidentally popped it. Let them handle tht cipher and u go wait at gate or support kiter
There are also complicated cases where the hunter for eg ripper foggy blades or spider spits cobwebs or bonbon and his bombs or smiley and his rocket dash , all these hunters can get second hits, that’s where a lot of cipher primes fail
@@user-vr4ko7hx9d ya TT in tht case, wen the hunter noes the cipher is primed, it best ti hav one (preferbaly with full health) to stay at cipher and another get ready to resc, cos high chance the hunter will chair then go to cipher so its impt tht the person on chair ping if the hunter has changed target so they can prime the cipher wen the hunter is otw and go to resc wen the alarm goes off and run away
I'd add one more to the list: Healing next to a primed cipher when teammate is kiting. If the kiter goes down and u get a healing calibration cuz u decided to heal, well u threw the whole match basically.
@@priestessidentityv I mean the last primed cipher. Like y would u heal someone next to it if an another teammate can go down in any second? Fortunately it's rare, but still happening. Once they did a late pop when I was kiting bc they healed and I got knocked down again. Therefore they made my Borrowed Time useless. Smh
It isn’t toxic imo, it’s just dumb teammates without proper game sense... I’ve met ppl who genuinely don’t think about these things, and aren’t doing it on purpose. But still, *facepalms*
I’m guessing the reason is in case if hunter comes unexpectedly and double hits you, if bad might end up not priming cause even with 99% it might end up not priming instantly and hunter might have time for an extra hit
@@jamie-rs1ne I usually bring that as a doc or coordinator reason being is I use doc as a rescue as well because of her own heal I can body block and heal faster. As coordinator is because I usually don't get chased in late game.
I'm a postman main n i sent everyone a hope letter at the end, everyone was at the gate but I was running away from the hunter, I didn't have the mssg the dungeon is here so I kept on saying "leave me " , the other 2 left but one didn't n it was so frustrating, I kept on circulating the dungeon but I unfortunately got knocked out and THAT'S when the other person left . I was so mad
1:13 That’s a bad move , don’t shoot the hunter right away if you can kite , and the most questionable thing is you ran STRAIGHT , in a direction where the Geisha has the most advantage and the hunter can see you while stunned , don’t do that please ! No offence
In my opinion, if he didn't shoot he would get down earlier. Because the geisha could've hit him because you can see how close she is! He didn't really have the choice to kite, unless he does jukes if he is lucky enough not to get hit. He didn't have a choice but to shoot because the hunter was near him. It'll take the geisha 6 seconds for her recovery time, so thats enough time to get to the church. If she recovers early, look at her, it's that easy! At least he kited for a pretty decent time. But again, it's your opinion and who am I to tell you off? Have a great day/night❤️
Honestly I think there’s really no need for criticisms when no one asked for it. “If you can kite” is a pretty bad statement, considering that he couldn’t kite at the moment as he’d be downed either way (it’s somewhat still too early to get down). That being said, he really has no other choice but to shoot. Running straight takes less time and in addition to the Geisha being stunned currently, is way more effective. It’s another story if the Geisha isn’t stunned.
Toxic Then: -Purposely making game difficult for your teammate. -trolling / doesn't take it seriously -flaming/taunt/mocking Now : - Making mistake - not good enough - winning - using META strategy and tactics - using your skill (reee spam) - Winning - didn't play exactly like they want you to play - winning
If u know ur gonna get terror Shock, is not actually toxic, is more like... U know u may get a terror shocked, but it can be either a instant action or a "wanna give it a shot"
taking risks like this is like throwing. it's like oooh i wanna throw this durian over to that basket, but you're in front of me, but i throw it anyway bc i wanna "give it a shot", and the durian hits your head anyway. wouldnt it be better not to?
Yesterday I was literally called a bitch on post match cuz I left for a postman to get dungeon, he started complaining saying we run away and I told him it would be better for him to get dungeon cuz no one would rescue him with detention and a perf who died early game (drove by the train) said she rescues with detention and proceeded to call me names :) Edit: he actually got dungeon and we won
OiRin what I’m saying is that you really don’t need borrow time on wildling. Because you won’t get chased either way and u need to see where ur teammates are to help them out. Because they don’t give they’re location away. Some wildlings in top 3 -top 10 use spectator over burrow time so idk what persona to use XD. And burrow time is situational because sometimes it doesn’t matter when the hunter doesn’t chase u or the match is over before the last ciper pops you know.
I mean, ppl can bring whatever persona that they want. You can't force everyone, ppl have different playstyle But ppl who doesn't bring 3 should atleast notify their teammates I really don't think it's toxic.
lol yeah wildling doesnt need borrowed time since the hunter will most likely not chase wildling. i know that john didnt use borrowed time on wildling XD
Once I was practicing Forward and the hunter was Smiley. I thought he was friendly because he's spinning, until he hit me. Ultra panic took over me but I managed to kite.
When you accidentally said “Thank You!” Instead of “The hunter is near me!”... and then you get downed right when you said that. I always said sorry post match if that happens-
Have you ever just said "Don't move, im coming!" and then there's one person already safe them while you're already half going to save and got wasted time :')
Am I the only one who only used "thank you" to let the others know I am getting healed so they don't have to worry? (Yah that was before you had the option to tell the progress xp)
There are so many toxic mammoths who expected to get carried, I experienced this so many times when I played quick match with my brother which was new to the game.
I kind wished "Thank you" didn't have a negative connotation in this game. I use the phrase whenever someone does a good kite as a way of saying "Thanks for trying, I appreciate it". It really sucks that I can't genuinely thank someone in this game, ffs
I understand that using thank you is a rude sarcastic remark on a teammate is toxic but is there a way of saying thank you without being toxic? Just curious
You could throw down graffiti when you're getting healing or rescued. Sometimes, when people say thank you, I look at the situation and context. Cuz sometimes, people do use thank you genuinely
No don't do that you and the person who is helping you or saved you would understand that you're being nice but your other teammates who don't know what's going on may think you're being toxic
I usually give every survivor a like even when I lose as a hunter but the survivors ... idk if they are toxic but they give a like to the other survivors and were emoting at the front gate when clearly I am going to lose * stands at the gate watching 4 survivors emoting ... * I even did a bow emote but they shot me with a flare gun and emoted till I gave up and surrendered
i remember a doctor who doesn't want a barmaid on the team cuz she says she's useless and easy to knock down. surprisingly barmaid did a pretty good job, kited for 4 ciphers and stunned hunter 5 times but the doctor was so toxic and waited for the line of the chair to pass before she rescue, even spammed thank you and the clapping emote before rescuing. doctor was the nearest surv since she followed barmaid after doing her own cipher
It’s not toxic don’t worry as long as it a thank you as someone healing you or rescuing you and stuff it’s only toxic when someone is spamming or like saying thank you when someone gets downed or they fail a calabriton.
Idk people told me I was toxic for give them pings? But I guess that a problem in the game + people told I was toxic for getting chaired and kitting 'bad' even tho I didn't use a kiter at this point everything is toxic
I have other persona webs when i do qm so when i do rank i forget borrowed time sometimes, its not toxic if you dont bring it. It’s always because someone had a different web and or is new
@@minersheep8285 I've played with top 10 embalmers and they cant even kite that well, so I can see that he might mean they just want to protect themselves
If the last player is by the cellar they start waiting for the me so that they can Emote at me and jump down I actually just sit there and watch from a distance as they do nothing it’s funny
This is not toxic...it's more like what not to do in a match Toxic is mostly lean to "bullying" Like spamming thank you or being very annoying , spamming stickers and emoting Same goes to hunters and survivors
Omg im commenting a lot here ahaha my pent up anger in idv pairing with randoms. Also! Learn to body block aft rescue! Dont get hit too far away b4 rescuing. Body block could help buy a lotttt of time esp wen u bring in tide turner. As rescuer, even wen u alr injired from rescuing, still do body block. Its btr to hav some1 else on chair then the same person. Buys more time
omg but sometimes when the person being rescued gets hit again (with tide turner) but doesn’t body block for the rescuer.... it’s hella annoying because it could have prevented the rescuer from getting downed
mm i agree w a lot of the points in this video and you’re fully free to think how ever you’d like !! however i think you’re using the word toxic too lightly most of the points here are are just simple mistakes or things that could easily go unnoticed. using the word toxic lightly can result in thank you spammers using them to justify spamming. again that’s just my take on it and you’re fully free to disagree !! in the end it’s just a game and you won’t get robbed if you slip once or twice
I was wondering if this was toxic, I’m sorry if it is TwT. 1. While waiting for the blood mark to go near middle, you dance and graffiti. 2. While waiting for your teammate to open the gate, not trying to taunt just waiting you dance.
So at 4:25 the way I do this is by making a connection on a different (since I main Prisoner) and hope and pray that the hunter sees my shake af cipher and nyooms over to it. If they don't, that's fine since I'm working on priming another cipher. I tried this with a few hunter and it's actually worked a few times o3o
Nice video its rare to talk About toxic player, and also in my game sence about stay in the gate i stay in the gate if the player is preistes its effective some time because of portal (•‿•)but if the player say "get out here" then i go also my gf talked about toxic player who one of Survivor helping the the hunter my gf resquie the untill she is the last one on the chair the survivor toxic player clapping on her front while she is the chair close to hunter so inpost much the post a smile face to the other Survivor... Well i reported them..
A lot of these aren’t “toxic” as much as just bad gameplay. Toxicity in gaming is doing things to intentionally make other players annoyed or mad. A few like spamming thank you and staying at the gate are toxic yes, but other than that it feels like your just throwing around the term because of bad experiences. Also, not bringing borrowed time isn’t even near toxic, since it’s just play style. I only bring borrowed time if the character I’m playing is good at getting rescues, other than that I bring broken windows instead.
Some of this is not really "toxic" -not bring borrow time People can bring whatever they want, not everyone have the same playstyle (plz notify ur teammates about it) seriously. It's not toxic -getting terror shock early match Yes. People do make mistakes, you said it yourself The points that I didn't mention, does consider a "toxic" move Please stop throwing the word toxic everywhere. Or am I being too serious? Is this a sarcastic video I'm sorry ;-; (sorry for my bad grammar I'm still learning)
I'm happy I read this. game setup can't be toxic, it's game setup!! also: NOTHING there is REALLY toxic. Toxic is a heavy word you guys should stop using. People who do that in games are just jerks or silly ppl. Some just don't know how to play yet/properly with some character. I think you have some influence with some kids Rin and you should use it for the good. Stop using a serious word like toxic to call people who are just mean/bad players. Remember: This is just a game. Many people there just for a good game. No lifes are being teared and trashed bc someone lost a match.
Gabi Game setup can be abused, and it is in this heavily in this game. There’s nothing wrong with using emotes or using the in game text messages but the ones who use it for bad intentions is bad behavior / toxic if u will. When people do things like this in the game it makes the game unfun for everyone. Rin is using his platform for good to bring light to issues that many may not know is bad / toxic behavior, he isn’t labeling the person bad. Btw most of rin’s videos are for bettering yourself / being able to rank up on the leader board not casual play. If you’re fine with doing the things mentioned in the video good for you. But as you see from the comments many players are bothered by stuff like this. Have a good day :)
@@shytofu9625 What I mean with my reply is you guys should look up what toxic means. And you labeled it better in your reply when you said bad intentions and bad behavior instead of toxic. This is what it is. Not toxic, just bad. Also I play rank and I even use borrowed time. I'm just saying this is not okay to say that someone's choice of setup is toxic when it isn't even bad behavior. It's just preference. I hope you guys didn't read me as an hostile person or something, I'm just someone tired of reading this word in this fandom ;(
there was one match when i was a mechanic and the first officer called me dumb for not getting out because i kept rescuing and i was like, i just did your job because u kept doing mine. he kept decoding while no one was rescuing and i had no choice smh
Toxic is actually just being mean. Survivor and hunter. As a hunter I always terror shock survivors on ciphers when I’m being nice hunter , but I don’t chair them . I just need the exp. But sometimes I let them hit me with a pallet after, and they do. But even so , they don’t trust me , they run away and stun me continuously. That is *toxic*
Hi again! I'm here to say that I don't really know if that is considered as toxic. They might don't know you are actually being friendly. And think you are a FFH! Fake friendly hunter. Yes this exists, and some people run away from me when I'm friendly bc they are to traumatized by FFH. I don't mind that, I get mad but, I don't consider it as toxic. If you were being friendly at first and terror shocking them, of course they would lose trust in you. THAT IS NOT TOXIC! You need to know that! You looked like a FAKE FRIENDLY HUNTER AND THAT IS WHY THEY RAN AWAY FROM YOU! Thats why I hit them at the end when I have detention but put them down at the gate. Why hit at the start? I know you need exp but, can't you play a normal match for that, or if so just hit them at the end but leave them at the gate and don't chair them.
A short explanation, that is not toxic, FFH exists and some people ofc lost trust in you if you did that. They would think you will hit them again. Don't say its toxic when you don't know what they really think. Fake friendly exists. And being anxious and losing trust isn't toxic. If you need exp, its better to just play a normal match JESUS CHRIST. Your opinion matters but, this one was just kind of dumb with you saying that its toxic. Its like saying a depressed person is just being edgy.
met a seer who didn't use his owl on anyone at all, he was just stalking a jack, didn't decode at all and spammed thank you when he got downed, me and two friends called him out on post match, he just exited the channel
Also!!! I think it's important to enable Distress when solo playing;;;; that way you know who's going in for the save...... But sometimes it's so sad because you can see all three survs going in for the save
Once I was playing as Ripper (that match was so bad like everyone escaped) and at the end EVERYONE was at the gate and at this point i was just standing there like "leave" and they made me the back emote and dancing like wtf
This actually happened to me like an hour ago, but anyways I was in tarot and I was king, eventually I got down and our knight couldn’t get the king since they probably were less experienced, When I got down the third time before I was gonna die, The hunter kept emoting at me and using just deserts hitting me while down. One of the squires kept emoting at me when I was down. It was so stupid and immature how they could’ve gotten an easy win but instead choose to be toxic.
6:04 This happened a couple of times in matches I played, they said they would do the saving and then ran in the opposite direction toward the gate. I was confused when this happened. Why would lie about something like that?
Sometimes its good to body-block even when the Hunter does have detention but ONLY when you have gotten chaired less times than the rescuee. Of course, none of this matters if they don't plan to save you.
I once was chaired for the first time and watched the rescuer hide behind a rock and wait out my entire chair time until I bled out while I was spamming "follow me!" and we all said "thank you!" when i died.. i feel bad for people who let someone rescue and then they don't rescue at all
I see many people commenting on this video while misunderstanding its intentions.

No, not actual friendly hunters, the ones that fake being friendly :’D
omg that is the worst type of "friendly" hunters!! :((
You are very right i face it many times, so i keep saying
"get of here" to the player who close to the hunter circling around
They all knocked down and we lose but, what's funny is i met real friendly hunter and i keep "saying get out here" after that the Survivor team mad at me at post match XD well you cant blame me i met so Many friendly hunter technique:3
what about mean hunters turn friendly.
for example after eliminating 2 survivors you became friendly.
cause I do that in qm when Im bored 😂
bro when I'm about to lose I just give up and turn friendly
but then they run away :(
They think they're so intelligent and end up losing anyways, I don't trust friend hunter until the end game
I hate when I say “Don’t rescue me!” and they still do 🗿

very valid when it’s end game and hunter has detention or if the team mate has half health. but some of my team mates say that when none of those apply, I’m obligated to save them because If I don’t then we have one less survivor, which is not good. decoding will slow down and cipher rush won’t happen, plus if I save them they can kite a little longer and waste time.
I literally got bashed by a minds eye and priestess in post-match because of that, like I told them to not rescue me since I was having ping issues like 900ms and they still rescued me despite me pinging don’t rescue me and they blamed me for ruining the game lol.
Fr like i can't kite y'all. Use me as sacrifice the hunter is just camping.

Oh yeah, same. I remember I was kiting geisha and still not 3 ciper done for 120 seconds

The only time that ever happens to me and my team mates is when the kiter accidentally runs into all of us and now we're just having a panic party XD

Yeah, it's easier for Priestess and other slow-vaulting survivors to get terrorshocked. We can't blame them
Ppl r dicks wtf
@Angry Teapot YEAH
Plot twist: Everyone was beign healed while the Priestess got terror shocked and they were just thanking the healer
imo toxic is a word that gets thrown around the idv fandom alot that something small like getting TS'ed earlygame is considered toxic but i agree w the thank you spams and not decoding tbh
We agree. We feel like getting terrorshocked is more of an accident, and for it to be seen as toxic is rather disappointing. Thank you spammers, however, are rather toxic. We had this one match where this Merc spammed thank you instead of rescue like bruh.
@@babymode8503 thats so ANNOYIGNFNF 😭😭 like bro ur a rescuer dont be stingy 😐 ppl make mistakes

KeiC森 this is really late but I usually say thank you before I die in a rocket chair, but when I say it I mean thank you for the game
KeiC森 EXACTLY THANK YOU
if u get terror shocked after knowing u Will get hit while vaulting, instead of taking the hit normally, then it's intentional and not a mistake. automatically ppl will think you are throwing. why risk the terror shock when you are full health? straight up throwing a game, and throwing a game is toxic. same goes with with not bring borrowed time, it's the most game-changing persona, the best and most useful persona in the game, so there's a reason why ppl will think you are throwing if you don't have it.
Sometimes when I'm rescuer some people actually take my rescue :,)
Well it really depends. When we talk about rescuing. It’s fine if we trade off sometimes. Let’s say u are mercenary and u are far away from chair and you are almost done with your cipher. Let’s say coord finish and is near chair. She can take the first rescue from u since she’s already done with her cipher. It’s all about timing and coordination :)
recently in qm i’ve been getting doc mains that won’t let me save (a merc/grave main) save and i watch them save with no tide like 👁
meya meya late but I relate to this so hard 👁👄👁 I played with this one doctor who rescued like 4 times without tide when I was grave and was the only one decoding and it was just a mess
meya meya lol I’m a doc main, and i don’t save unless needed, but Somtimes i get frustrated in rank. It’s like i almost always have to rescue, because these randoms refuse to do it😭. Worst of all they be a merc or coord
Me and my teammates always go with who's nearest and who's not done with the cipher
Our Minds Eye rescues more than our Mechanic believe it or not and that's mostly because our Minds Eye is always nearest the chair when it happens XD
Let's just say she's also our best rescuer atm lmao
Half of the things he said are just mistakes or annoying things we all have done, makes it feel more like a rant about things that gets him mad and that makes him lose seriousness
for real bruh, just because i dont have borrowed time doesn't mean im toxic, i don't have enough persona points to get it yet lmfao

Me , a new player that just learn it was a thing
I donnnt even know how's that toxic
its britneybyotch
cipher pop is a very crucial thing in this game that depends on the persona “borrowed time”. In mid tiers and high tiers it’s expected, and it’s even used in low tiers. If a player doesn’t have borrowed time they’re practically throwing the match at this point(though there are some exceptions.)
andy Netscape EXACTLY
I mean if you start and go in quick match it's okay, i see it More problematic when you go to rank and you dont take the Time of learn a Little.
But we can still win without borrowed time. People are acting like losing a match or lowering the chances of victory is ‘toxic’...those are just mistakes, and sometimes even high tier players make mistakes. Toxic is when a player purposely harasses or points the blame at another.
“Who wants to get terror shocked?”
Me: A terror shock a day, keeps the hunter’s depression away
but this is more of throwing a match, toxic is like emoting people on matches, stalking the hunter as enchantress or seer or something and spamming the ability, saying thank you is a big thing i agree
Wait so seers cant stalk?
Enchantress starts with nothing so I usually wait to get 3 stacks to save someone (if I can). Also if there's one or two ciphers left I follow the survivor and hunter to body block and gain time. That's not toxic, I just try to help my team
Seer needs to stalk to hunter to be able to get an owl. How's that toxic?
But enchantress has started with no stacks so if she has stacks it’s easier to rescue team mates and help them
@@tatianitsaful well that's cause it's strategic.

Throw back to that time I pulled off an epic save in the basement (unchaired two people by stunning and juking the hunter with Prospector). We all make it out and we somehow lose the hunter.
This is tragic in so many ways
Me: **reads this coment** Oo this is interesting.
Also me: **taps on “see more”**
Me: HOLY MACORONI
Yes they are bad people but don’t you think you’re making a big deal out of them decoding together?
It’s a game
I’mSleepy The thing is that Enchantress was blaming op for their loss even though her decoding together with priestess was the actual reason. Enchantress saving after the line everytime was also a reason they lost. And I think you should tell that Enchantress that she was making a big deal out of it since its a *quick match*
Koshi
I mean decoding together does waste time but it doesn’t affect the match as much but her blaming it on someone else is toxic
But from her perspective I see she’s kinda making a big deal out of enchantress and priestess decoding together,at the end of the day it’s just a game, there’s really no need to bad mouth someone over some game
aw im sad to see that thank you is seen as toxic :( i always make sure to tell my team mates thank you when they're healing me or if they rescue. i just want to thank them but i understand there are jerks who use it to be toxic. but in a way there's graffiti and that kinda gets a friendly message across
In ranked though, I suggest removing any emotional messages like those and "sorry" and using that spot for more important messages like "Cipher machine primed" or "The dungeon is here"
It's toxic when you spam it.
Not thank you in general is toxic spamming thank you is toxic
Usually whenever a teammate says thankyou while I'm healing them ill message the healing process so no teammates get offended
same here but when people started saying that saying thank you is toxic I was like what why😭like how am I gonna thank people for healing for rescuing me🙁
My biggest Pet peeve is People Who dont leave and Come for the rescue Just to be a four man win like dont be greedy Just leave!
Welcome to bee and hound rank
I’ve done that once being forward lol my sisters friend told me to leave and I did and the doctor said “Thank you!” (I was still a newbie)
I do it all the time because I feel bad, if we’re close to winning I don’t want them to be the only one left out.
Nah tbh idc if I win or lose, I only rescue cuz they are my teammates

“What is considered toxic”
Apparently to some survivors, I was baptized in it

I only use thankyou when someone saved or healed me, tbh id feel guilty if i said nothing
Sammeeee 😂😂😂 but i stopped saying Thank you when healed because some Survivors didn’t know what is happening (they don’t know that i’m being healed) so they misunderstood it and thought that i was spamming Thank You. In exchange, I just say the healing time as a Thank You

Same, several times happened that I'm healing someone and they say thank you, so I immediately say the healing time so the other survivors don't think they're toxic
ok so what bout survivors emoting while kiting and hunters hitting the survivor on chair >n
It’s ok for both surv and hunter to emote, but not hitting chair. I normally click like for hunter, but not when they purposely hit the chair. Many chinese players see hitting chair as very rude.
I agree, when you are chaired but the hunter constantly hits you while in the chair is definitely toxic

I would find a team that should help. The only reason I do rank is for the fragments.
The last line tho... what do you really say?
Most of this thing in this video are more like "trolling" - there is a little difference between trolling and been toxic
isnt it just the same. trolling Is toxic, tho
He isnt describing a toxic player hes describing about a toxic playstyle
nah, if the player is doing stuff intentionally to "troll" then yes it is toxic, as it does intentiontally ruin everyone else's experierence on the match, but that's already obvious in itself
tho some of these def are over-reaching as they can be very basic mistakes or lack of experience/knowledge if not intentional, mostly just based on other players usually misunderstanding and calling everything toxic too lol
I had a “friendly” duo hunter match a few seasons ago. They chaired (I think?) 7 people because my teammates didn’t realize what was going on until the first few or so got downed with detention. The hunters then said that it was our fault for being so trustful towards them in the post match chat.
Scammmm
they were trying to gain your trust and then kill you and they’re blaming you for trusting them?
What a legendary teammate
Before you comment about the terror shock part, I want to clarify something. If you guys did not understand what I was trying to say, let me try again. When I say getting terror shock is toxic, I do not mean the terror shock by chance kind of thing. I'm talking about when you know you are gonna get terror shock if you vault that window or pallet, but you do it anyways. That is toxic.
I got 3 rescuers in rank and they all were trying to save me and not even one was decoding and i was the only one that decoded ;-;
I don't consider it toxic since there new players do that most of the time but I don't agree is that when that person goes down and the other player say "thank you" that's toxic unless if they manage to a clutch play then u say "thank you"
Sometimes, you just never see it coming. Hunters might be blinking after all, and survivors might not notice.
That's not toxic it just throws teh match cause you really have no where to go like you can try to juke but uhm nah its not toxic.

What if they were being toxic pre match? I remember this thief trash talking the hunter and instead of saving them I danced on them
@@user-uc6hl6pr1j something similar happened to me on a match w a friend, this rando started being rude for no reason in chat to everyone, turns out they got caught first by the hunter (purposefully even, hunter saw me but ignored n went straight to the toxic player) none of us even bothered saving them lmao
It happened to me when i said "gl everyone have fun dying" and the hunter just chaired me and the teammates were emoting with him :')
I didnt knot that it was like
Toxic from my side
As a rescuer main, sometimes I emote near the chair to trick the hunter so the hunter would think I was interacting with the chair (but actually it was emote). Because some hunters will wait the rescuer to interact with the chair so the rescuer will get terror shocked.
For those who "refuse" to save you, they probably failed to trick the hunter, they were waiting for the hunter to hit them but it turns out that the hunter was waiting until the chair time is over.
P.S English is not my first language
I feel bad because I used thank you when I died to actually say thanks for the attempt to save but people probably saw it as a rude comment 😭
Never say "Thank you!" on chair. Never. No matter what is happening, don't say it.
Oh gee, i did that too
Yeah same. Just wanted to say how grateful I was 😭
I did that too 😭😭
Literally at this point almost everything you do is considered toxic 💀
I'd add one more to the list:
Healing next to a primed cipher when teammate is kiting.
We have fückers who bring 69
I’m guessing the reason is in case if hunter comes unexpectedly and double hits you, if bad might end up not priming cause even with 99% it might end up not priming instantly and hunter might have time for an extra hit
@@jamie-rs1ne I usually bring that as a doc or coordinator reason being is I use doc as a rescue as well because of her own heal I can body block and heal faster. As coordinator is because I usually don't get chased in late game.

That’s a bad move , don’t shoot the hunter right away if you can kite , and the most questionable thing is you ran STRAIGHT , in a direction where the Geisha has the most advantage and the hunter can see you while stunned , don’t do that please !
That’s exactly why I shot, I didn’t have a choice.

This should be a mandatory video for every idv player... so many "obvious" things that some players dont do... ugh ;(
If u know ur gonna get terror Shock, is not actually toxic, is more like...
Yesterday I was literally called a bitch on post match cuz I left for a postman to get dungeon, he started complaining saying we run away and I told him it would be better for him to get dungeon cuz no one would rescue him with detention and a perf who died early game (drove by the train) said she rescues with detention and proceeded to call me names :)
Edit: he actually got dungeon and we won
Actually I don’t use borrow time on wildling lol, I don’t think it’s very good on wildling so I go spectator and tide turner.
You can't force everyone, ppl have different playstyle But ppl who doesn't bring 3 should atleast notify their teammates
I really don't think it's toxic.
Aimmi nr I do,so they know if I get chased first, to pop the ciper.
@@OiRin It is very unlikely that someone who chases wildling first would win, unless the wildling played horribly and cant kite
lol yeah wildling doesnt need borrowed time since the hunter will most likely not chase wildling. i know that john didnt use borrowed time on wildling XD
Once I was practicing Forward and the hunter was Smiley. I thought he was friendly because he's spinning, until he hit me. Ultra panic took over me but I managed to kite.
Rin what do you think of survivors emoting after stunning the hunter and vice versa?
When you accidentally said “Thank You!” Instead of “The hunter is near me!”... and then you get downed right when you said that.
I always said sorry post match if that happens-
Have you ever just said "Don't move, im coming!" and then there's one person already safe them while you're already half going to save and got wasted time :')
Am I the only one who only used "thank you" to let the others know I am getting healed so they don't have to worry? (Yah that was before you had the option to tell the progress xp)
Every time I say there's a dungeon my teammates never leave
Ohhh this is annoying damn..
Oh no I used thank you a lot when people rescue me or healed me JASBKD Just realized the other players might've misunderstood i-
To this day, I removed Thank You from my wheel
There are so many toxic mammoths who expected to get carried, I experienced this so many times when I played quick match with my brother which was new to the game.
Oh the video is for rank matches
I kind wished "Thank you" didn't have a negative connotation in this game.
I use the phrase whenever someone does a good kite as a way of saying
"Thanks for trying, I appreciate it".
It really sucks that I can't genuinely thank someone in this game, ffs
I understand that using thank you is a rude sarcastic remark on a teammate is toxic but is there a way of saying thank you without being toxic? Just curious
Nah in this community, we assume it’s just being toxic.
You could throw down graffiti when you're getting healing or rescued. Sometimes, when people say thank you, I look at the situation and context. Cuz sometimes, people do use thank you genuinely
No don't do that you and the person who is helping you or saved you would understand that you're being nice but your other teammates who don't know what's going on may think you're being toxic

i've been saying thank you to people who have rescued me, i didnt know it was toxic ;-;
It’s not toxic don’t worry as long as it a thank you as someone healing you or rescuing you and stuff it’s only toxic when someone is spamming or like saying thank you when someone gets downed or they fail a calabriton.

Omg im commenting a lot here ahaha my pent up anger in idv pairing with randoms. Also! Learn to body block aft rescue! Dont get hit too far away b4 rescuing.

Some of this is not really "toxic"
-not bring borrow time
People can bring whatever they want, not everyone have the same playstyle (plz notify ur teammates about it) seriously. It's not toxic
-getting terror shock early match
Yes. People do make mistakes, you said it yourself

also: NOTHING there is REALLY toxic.

I hate it when I get chaired and the hunter just starts smacking me there. It just makes me angry ,, it annoys me.
