Stepps moves alot of stuff here in Florida. They have put some miles on them. Good classics to refurb. Id rather refurb than run the junks today that are new
Got a job 5 weeks ago working at a heavy equipment/ big rig repair shop after doing 2 years as a PM guy. Love working on these old trucks. Well love/hate for sure. lol.
Every time you unload something from that trailer, I'm yelling "Just put a 2×6 in front of the wheels to lift it up enough to not rub." 😄 Pretty cool rigs.👍
Stepp's Towing is notorious for taking good care of there equipment that being said i would invest in getting these up to snuff and selling as a whole truck.
I love watching your videos they always are entertaining and I just love all your content you make and since I was a kid, I always liked semi trucks so I really love your content. I hope you have a nice day.❤😂
Saludos y bendiciones para usted y su familia, muy buen contenido, aunque casi no entiendo el idioma ( My English level is very low ). I love the trucks.
I say keep the heavy haul 18 speed, it is the nicer truck, but swap the battery box and fuel tanks. that truck could be a nice show truck to replace tratter taxi and you can do some rolling coal on the highways
Hey Bruce them two Peterbilt's that you just bought I would take them too a Peterbilt company too look at them engines too get them fully working I know that you want too start up a towing business with other people working for you I would add them two Peterbilt's too your fleet so other people can go out and bring back a load off trucks.
I know what you're thinking. Bruce you're gonna be getting another summer truck or whatever. Keep one of them. Cause I'm gonna erase it out. Look, and I know that. Look for Everybody. I get that walk through my eyes sometimes. Twoo and best thing to do is just keep one truck. It wouldn't attract park the road part. The other truck can keep one cause. I know you said in the past. You wanna have an old 379?But I don't remember if you wanted a lawn hood or a short hood
As long as you don’t rev it up too high immediately after start up , but it’s actually better for the engine because it gets the oil pressure up and delivers it to all the vital parts , that’s why the engine manufactures recommend as little idle time as possible , when idling at 800 plus rpm’s it supplies the engine with good oil pressure
Cool buy Bruce it is nice to see some one buy and put old to work I have a gmc 3500 van with 700th on it plan on getting 100th out it older trucks look better anyway better iron cool deal !!
A sleeper on that thing was huge❤🇺🇸👌🔥 well thank you for sharing Bruce hope you and the boys and the family all have a really good day tomorrow ok later put a motor in it for me?😮
I would not part either truck, they are an easy sell as a whole truck IMO. You could put a little money in them and then sell or mark them up a bit from what you paid and sell them as is. Somebody will rebuild their motors or may have a motor sitting around that needs a new home. They'd be good candidates for a motor transplant or rebuild. I'd be willing to bet you Tim Gentry would jump on them if them price is right Bruce.
Hey Bruce I’m looking for a old truck just to haul tractors to tractor shows but I only have like 6,000 to spend if u run across any trucks that would be around that range
Can you feel the floor vibrate when you move the overhead Crain? I used to haul coils and you would feel the floor, but the Crain was bigger because the coils would weigh 15,000-30,000. The other building had coils weighing as much as 50,000
With a engine refresh those would be great additions to the towing fleet

Yes, I used to see them all over the Tampa area.
I'd love to see these bad units rebuilt or fixed up and put back to work. They r some bad ass rigs
Pre emissions trucks. Should be market for them. Freshened up they would run reliability for a long time

Good ole Stepps Towing. Always an icon here in Florida
I know Stepps Towing got their use out of those things I've always had good luck using stepps Towing
Rock n roll on it cranking on the first try! Keep them both, Bruce.
keep them Bruce don’t sell or get rid of them
Probably one of the easiest "Will They Start?" ever👍 Glad you had the keys for those 2 brutes😜
Don't sell them make a fleet of them
Every time you unload something from that trailer, I'm yelling "Just put a 2×6 in front of the wheels to lift it up enough to not rub." 😄 Pretty cool rigs.👍
That truck looks very similar to the one my cousin had when I was young. Sounds like it too! His had to have been an older model it was before 2001.
Both those trucks have lots of potential. Too good to part out.IMHO. Just a matter of money.
My thoughts exactly
I would do an in frame on both trucks and put them to work. Especially the second one with the double frame. It would be a heavy haul truck.
Stepp's always had good equipment, you definitely have some winners.
Keep up the great work Bruce and you should restore one of those trucks
That one with the 6nz sound so good, my goodness with mufflers on it🤩🤩
You should keep the trucks.I say that it is a win to have a running truck
The wide span on the drive axles give you more weight, you can have on them
You need to talk to Tim about the one that is made for heavy haul and he can extend it and put the thrid axle under it .
The 2nd one is what we call a Michigan special. High horsepower, heavy suspension, big gear boxes. Roll on big wheels
Stepp's Towing is notorious for taking good care of there equipment that being said i would invest in getting these up to snuff and selling as a whole truck.
Notorious really
@@rodneyjacob1924 Really.

They are way too good to part out
13:24 that downshift sounded kind of cool for a diesel truck engine ngl.
Surprised timmy Gentry not interested in the 2 peterbilts
Don’t part em out keep em alive!! Fcr towing com on back
Saw them for sale today brother!🤘
If you’re ever in NW Arkansas and need a spot to shutdown, hollar at us!
I would keep them and freshen them up. If you wanted to sell them, give Tim a call. The heavy hauling he is getting into would be a nice addition.
Go find my old ones and save them. 1989 379 extended hoods
282981 and 280905. They were Monsters!!! I miss them.
I think that you should keep both trucks and fix them up and use them around the shop
Saludos y bendiciones para usted y su familia, muy buen contenido, aunque casi no entiendo el idioma ( My English level is very low ). I love the trucks.
That's the same kind of height stick I use as a car hauler. Good piece of equipment.
The trucks 🚛 are nice Bruce thank they are worth the avestment for your company..?😊😊
Please find a rigging class that you can attend, you have some very nice equipment now and I’d like to see you be able to make the most of it
Looks like a good heavy haul unit for your buddy Tim Gentry. Should give him a call on this unit @
That axle spacing is called a Canadian Spread and it allows more weight in Canada. Maybe they were originally Canadian Trucks. Bill
Tim Gentry was looking for a double frame truck not sure if he still is
Freshen up the paint and put some floaters on the front and you got yourself a pretty dam good haul truck!
Thi k they call that a Canadian spread on that one truck
I say keep the heavy haul 18 speed, it is the nicer truck, but swap the battery box and fuel tanks. that truck could be a nice show truck to replace tratter taxi and you can do some rolling coal on the highways
Good ol Stepp’s towing 🤣🤣🤣😂😂
Bruce please start to work on your broken trucks as I enjoy you repairing them
You should do a will it run on the green xmaxx lol i saw it hiding
I USED TO SEE THOSE TRUCKS ALOT IN JACKSONVILLE, THEY DID ALOT OF OVER SIZED LOADS
Just found this channel, another Tennessean into semi’s? Subscribed! Much love from Smyrna.

Those two Peterbilt conventionals deserve more life than to be scrapped.
You should turn it around and load the wrecked truck on the trailer backwards makes unloading it easier
Two nice old Peterbilts
We need some scania update, shall we Bruce ?🙏
Keep those old rigs, the engines need refresh, but they look solid.

Rtf you saying dude?
W video Bruce love the content when I'm like on a business trip
Oh it runs! Let’s rev the absolute piss out of it as soon as it starts up. 🤔🤷🏼♂️
never broke an engine from revving a engine cold thats a myth
@@mindedchaos you’re kidding right?

IVE WATCHED THESE TRUCKS WORK DAILY HERE IN TAMPA. STEPPS ALWAYS TOOK PRIDE IN THERE TRUCKS. TAMPA WAS THE MAIN OWNERS LOCATION.
Nice 👍
You should build it, and do a another giveaway
Hi Bruce sorry Bruce you need to sale these awesome trucks for the business
Have a great week ahead
Fix and refresh then sell for a profit can use one for your new drag truck
Perfect refurb projects
A small to mid size farmer would probably buy them. Could sell them on auction in the midwest/heartland.
Lol that load height stick they could've used for that day on I 75 in marion County when their driver hit the overpass
Love Hblackfitz shop in the background
@fsctrucking
you could buy one of these to put a driver in. CAT, 18 speed 46000 rears👍
I love the smell of diesel in the morning 👍
I’d put a detachable wrecking unit on the one with the double frame and use it
Talk with the Edison motors guys and do a diesel/electric retrofit on one of these rigs!
WHY??
Good trucks, Don't scrap them.
It looks awesome there at your shop’s location. Is it like in the middle of nowhere ?
I live 20 minutes from the Stepps yard you got that truck from
Ol Tim needs the frame for his cabover that he has to build
keep the clips coming
You should tell sleeperdude on his channel if that guy have cars and trucks there he buys a lot of cars n trucks SUVs and vans and RVs
Save those trucks bruce keep them on the road where they should be better than those new aero garbage trucks
if you do end up parting them out, i’d be interested in one of those 6nz’s
A sleeper on that thing was huge❤🇺🇸👌🔥 well thank you for sharing Bruce hope you and the boys and the family all have a really good day tomorrow ok later put a motor in it for me?😮

Got a hold of Tim
I like the colours on those trucks!
Truck 3 sounds good as well.😊
Keep it and use it for the towing business
Having 38 1986 Classic Peterbilt 359's in my fleet has me wife a Filing cabinet of over 400 drivers that want to Drive for me.
What's the point of scrapping the 2 Petes when they work perfectly. They look pretty good!
THAT SECOND TRUCK HAD A PUSH AXLE I BELIEVE
Nice truck
Dam shame I wish id been able to get one cause those are keepers
I just know that 2nd has a twelve seven in it.😎
Truck one sounds real nice.
If you decide to part one out im needing a hood front sorings and a few other parts to change a set back axle 377 to a short hood 378 or 379
Hey Bruce a nother great video on your channel u should keep one to haul your 5th wheel camper with keep up the great work bud on your channel
