this is not surprising he got this ability. If anyone recalls back in the battle with zagrad (the first devil they fought), licth and the first wizard king use demon dweller to give everyone a shield in the shadow palace same sword similar ability so it honestly makes A LOT of sense about him being able to share his power to people he is close to or has a special relationship with. Asta should have all the same abilities litch did, it was his grimoire and his swords so they should be the exact same.
Plus when Asta used Noelle's magic through Demon Dweller, I'm fairly sure it was stated that it combined with his anti-magic making the water slash cancelling the healing flame and diamond armor.
now the black culls are far more powerful than any paladins
Wait aren't black cats considered bad luck? If so Vanessa's magic will work like that against her enemies.

Perhaps the anti-magic is acting as an 'overlay' on top of - but not in direct contact with - their own magic. Theoretically, this should make all of their magic spells uncounterable and unblockable.
This was the idea I had as well. It would make the most sense. Imo
Unless they block/counter it with physical objects, or a more powerful magic such as gravity magic. Like how Dante's grav completely dispered Vanessa's Rouge.
So it's kind of like how Yusuke used Spirit Energy with his Demon Spirit Gun to get through Yomi's Anti Demon Energy Barrier in Yu Yu Hakusho?

Asta has refined Anti-Magic to a point where he controls who's magic is cancelled out and who's not.
In the past the Black Bulls went out of their way so Asta could land the final blow in a intense fight. Now Asta is just returning the favor.
The gang had Nacht set a direction so he could return back home. Yes, Asta is dear to them and they didn't consider to go to the capital because the almighty Yuno of the shiny golden dawn was the answer to the current crisis. Nacht again betted everything on him. Now Asta has to prove he was worth all the trouble.

it's really not, it's just people misunderstand what asta's magic is, he doesn't possess anti-magic, he has sword magic, he just uses anti-energy to fuel it instead of mana, he's always been able to choose if it cancels out other magics, and it has been shown to be boosting the magic of the swords since day 1

I am definitely excited to see how all the Black Bulls use their anti-magic. The possibilities for some are unimaginable while others seem lack luster. I hope Finral's anti magic teleportation becomes something like a Void portal, instead using it to pass through but as an imprisonment deplete mana. Great content as always and I can't wait to see how the Bulls turn out ✌️

I think it’s possible per the notion of replacing the bulls mana with anti-energy, especially since asta can control what his anti-magic nullifies and having zero mana doesnt straight up kill a person.

asta was able to subconsciously turn off his anti magic when in contact with his friend's magic while they were fighting veto in the underwater temple maybe that's precisely the reason why he can now share his magic with his friends
We also know that the blood red cocoons helped Asta flow anti magic flow more freely so it probably help the rest of the bulls as well.

The Imperial Sword if you think about it may have been based on the Demon Dweller Sword seeing that the First Wizard made it, assuming he made while he had a good relationship with Licht and the rest of the elves

There was a for shadowing of Asta's strength in the Anime by the Heart kingdom queen and the water spirit. That was during the Heart kingdom training arc
I've seen this argument on multiple channels. Honestly, if this woukd have been released before sword of the wizard king there would be some ground to stand on. But since it didn't there is now a precedent. The main argument would be how makes could utilize anti-aging. Case and point Asta's final fight in sword of wizard King where his body was overflowing with antimagic and mana. One would think for the argument to stand then they would have been in conflict, but Asta was able to wield both effortlessly. This took place well before the current timeline. Now back to the matter at hand. How would the black bulls do what Asta did. Otaku pointed it out well in my opinion. The mana would have had to have been of equal value to the anti magic. As for the upgrades. I'm excited to see it to be honest.

Conaidering asta already had extreme amounts of experience in ki because he relied on it the exact same way everyone relied on mana sense in every fight he's had so far, and he already has experience thanks to his heart kingdom training in advanced control of his anti magic (remember anti magic manipulation combined with natural mana in the air is why he could basically be silver surfer) and then understands how to unleash his full power thanks to learning devil union, I genuinely think it makes sense that he learned zetten so fast. However, until we get an actual explanation on this new anti magic sharing, I feel pretty indifferent on it because even if it ends up making for cool scenes and fights and whatnot this is something that needs a solid explanation to make sense. Though I do think we will get an actual explanation on this soon I will say that.
Edit: I saw in the comments people talking about how asta has learned how to control his anti magic to the point of who it effects and how, and that sounds like a solid explanation I just hope it gets clarified to be the official canon reason and not left to interpretation.

if you don't understand it, you're thinking about it wrong, asta has never had anti-MAGIC, his magic is SWORD MAGIC, he just doesn't have mana, but anti energy, think of magic like a cup, mana is water, anti-energy is oil, the two don't usually go together, but they can temporarily be forcefully mixed, that's what asta did, he boosted the magic of the black bulls with anti energy just like he boosted the magic of the swords he uses with it
Anti fire, anti water and so on, it takes the essence of anti magic and combine it with the form of their magic. Licht grimoir was originally a sword magic grimoir so asta anti magic is mainly relate to sword

One thing I’ve noticed is that the abilities of two of the black bulls are kinda the same as two of Asta’s swords those being Gordon being the opposite of the demon destroyer though I think with the new anti magic power up he’ll be similar to the demon destroyer while Gouche with the anti magic power up would be more similar to the demon dweller

Whatever W's the villains get, it'll get immediately outshined soon after. You beat up the Black Bulls and did "fatal" blows on some of them? Well they'll all get complete healed, even the ones with the "fatal" blows, and get a gigantic boost 2 chapters later. How can the villains be seen as threats with the way Tabata arranges things to work in the heroes favor. The villains just can't do anything right.

Why does everyone think it goes against the laws of magic and is too over-powered and an ass-pull?
Asta can subconsciously control what he cancels and what he doesn't.
1. He can go through Finral's portals with his swords without cancelling them out.
2. He can use anti-magic in conjunction with Noelle's and Gauche's magic creating magically charged anti-magic long-range slashes.
3. He can knock back magic with the flat of his blade, even from Zora's trap magic without cancelling it out like he did in the elf arc to save Sis'goleon, which he has been doing since his trial by fire with Magna when he joined the BB.
4.This was heavily foreshadowed in the battle against Zagred when Licht shared his powers with his comrades.
Sword magic + Anti magic + Time magic + zetten = Ultimate Wizard King

Yuno's and Asta's Power Displays have always been inversions of each other. Yuno being able to buff a large area of his allies while debuff his enemies is an inversion of Asta's. It goes back to the first chapter, Yuno had huge mana reserves and spell power, Asta had physical prowess. At the festival, Yuno used his mana piggybank to shoot an attack at Asta, who negated the spell. The Spade Kingdom Arc was another fight to a draw until Asta arrives, just as the Word Demon Arc and will how he ends Black Clover. Yuno will do a damn good job, but the victory will go to Asta. The real question is how will he write the ending? Will Yuno go back to the Spade Kingdom to reclaim his throne if he is not selected?
Asta totally stole Julius's magic ability, like totally true.

At first I was not happy but after thinking about, it makes perfect sense. Asta is doing exactly what luscious is doing with paladins. This way there are more side fights in the final battle. This nerfs paladins and gives the magic knights a chance.
Yuno's Neverland spell already nerfes enemies and still they're all struggling. Probably because it's such a large number of people. Asta concentrating on a handful of people isn't that much of a stretch
A video I saw described a person's magic ability like a cup and you fill that cup with mana. So instead of filling it with mana Asta is filling it with Anti Magic.

My own theory is very similar. I think the anti magic combined with their innate magic. Assuming anti magic power is just another form of energy source, then theres no reason why it wont adapt to it's user. It's likely The only reason asta got it in such pure unfiltered form is that he had no base to imprint onto from the start, and even then, take anti magic out asta is just using sword magic. So it's not like there isn't an influence.
In addition, as ppl mentioned, there where examples of anti magic interacting with magic without erasing it, demon dweller being chif example, I think ppl lock into the "anti" part too much and forget about the "magic" part so I do believe a skilled mage will be able to balance it out.
That being said, I do think that even with computability, a lesser mage would be in deep trouble if they'll get it. It takes skill to use aspects of anti magic aside of erasing. Without at least a strong foundation or a developed enough base to imprint on I won't be surprised if the power will manifest itself in it's simplest form, which inside a body full of mana, I don't even want to think what that will do.

Wait. For Gordon what if he becomes like anti-curse. Since he technically uses curse magic. So he'd be able to heal and negate any curses; but doesn't do actual much against actual magic.

@@AaronSmith-my2dh they were villains, it was an obstacle to overcome and their supernatural race. Hearing elves have an abundance of mana isn't shocking and more of a matter of fact cause every media form elves are stronger than humans.
Anti Magic has always been rather OP cause it goes against every law of magic. It was always how much can asta handle and how can he utilize it to win. But everyone having it cheapens it. No magic can beat anti magic.
So it's a race against the clock now. How long can asta share his magic. And does this weaken asta himself. I personally don't care to see the rest of the black bulls fight anymore, they had their turn. Besides yuno and asta, I want more captains time But that's just me. 🤷♂️
@@domnamikaze I completely agree with you about limitations, however under the current circumstances I feel like this allows for others to take part in the fight in a more realistic way compared to them needed Asta to fly all over the kingdom saving those who need it.

What if it’s just the opposite of their magic power and you are wrong because it is said that ichika is the most compatible with asta’s ability and if you look at the history of black clover she would’ve created a 5 leaf after she found out it was her and not yami who killed their clan by.all asta change was the nature of their magic. Luck has black lightning. Manga has black flames and so on . Vanessa just changed to hex magic that’s why the which who youno fought when kingdom was attack fore shadowed what the opposite of her magic would be fineral magic would now become offensive instead of passive
