Lovely video. I too live here and you certainly found most of the interesting parts. The church at ten minutes I call the pepper pot. And the big church is where I go and lovely. You did miss the English Garden which overlooks the Port. And the guy with his hurdy gurdy.machine has been there and almost a fixture for many years. And yes a great place to live with a short journey to Dinard and St Malo for a swim and more magnificent places to visit.
I am from Dinan Bravo for pour vidéo Dinan IS one of thé most beautiful towns in Brittany When i walk in thé Dinan streets,l always discover something i have not seen before
My late husband and I stayed in a co nverted tannery in Dinah in 2022. I was so excited to see your vlog. I saw where we ate, bought our bread and walked up the street into Dinah proper. Only wish I could have shown him. We were also surprised when we got up to the town proper to see how big it was.
hi Caryn. Thankyou for watching. It's lovely to hear that the video brought back happy memories of you travels with your husband. Its those memories that ensure our loved ones stay with us forever.❤️
Thanks for the video, I think we may be visiting Dinan again in May. We've parked by the viaduct and cycled further upstream and there is an abbey not far along, beautiful.
Really nice video: you captured the sense of Dinan very well. We walked there on the riverside path from La Hallerais on a hot August day in 2019, and the town was really busy. We still enjoyed it, but we will return during shoulder season next time... BTW there is a huge motorhome/campervan carpark in Dinan, somewhere near that massive bridge which crosses the river.
Hi Hywel. It's a stunning town... And I reckon it's pretty touristy most of the time! We passed the carpark coming down the main road on the route back. It's definitely a good spot for a day trip into town.! 👍🚐😊
That brought back memories of when we visited Dinah on the way home at the end of our holiday 20 years ago! It’s amazing how some those buildings are still standing from when we saw them! What instrument was that busker playing? It sounded like a cross between bagpipes and a violin and he seemed to be turning a handle to produce the sound!
Can't remember the full name...sorry, they're about 8yrs old, and made by Outwell. I think they're out of production now. Nearest I can see being sold that looks similar is the Outwell Spring hills chair.👍🚐
Hi there. Thanks for watching. We aren't members of any other camping or caravanning club, and the only thing we pay for yearly is the ACSI card. We don't travel in peak season, so the ACSI card is ideal for us. We stay on campsites-, (we're not looking to spend as little money as possible on holiday, as these are our planned holidays- )no aires, or wild camping, so the ACSI card is definitely worth it, as it greatly reduces the rates of pitches on thousands of sites. It's relatively cheap, at @ £25 and it guarantees a certain level of campsite, as the club requires sites to meet certain standards, and most of them do....some even exceed the requirements. There are different levels of pricing, so if you like a basic campsite....or a large commercial campsite, with all the bells and whistles, you can choose your level of price. We have saved from as little as 1euro per night for a pitch, to a stonking 35euros per night per pitch, dependant on where the campsite is. We love it......we wouldn't travel out of season without it.....but bear in mind, we travel for up to six weeks at a time, and can stay at over 30 campsites per trip......that's 30 nights of reduced camping pitches!! It adds up a lot!!! If you're only travelling for a week, and staying at the same site....where you can get a weekly reducyion...for example, then it may not be worth it. It all depends on how you travel. Hope that helps a bit. 👍🚐😊
