That dude is legitimately 5-15cm shorter than most other middles (yes, he is still a giant, but not compared his opponents), but is just faster, smarter, and more athletic than his oppoisitions. As a middle myself I watch him spike and he looks unblockable unless you can read the future.
In addition, he also has a characteristic attack (jump combined with a shoulder twist). His blockers have a problem predicting where the ball will go. I hope you know what I mean 😉 This is visible, for example, in the action at 5:21.
my personal dream team would be the 6 Japanese + brizzard + javier + darlan. I'm telling you, the Japanese have a banger lineup with Nishida, Ishikawa, Takahashi, Masahiro, Yamauchi and Yamamoto all being on the same team
Back in the day, they played 2 outsides , 2 opposites, 1 setter , 1 middle blocker and a libero by having middle blocker positioned the opposite with setter. But nowdays they mostly play with 2 mbs

The are opposite of each other ? When one middle blocker goes back rolls (service) so another goes front (the net). The same with outsides x
