I've been a Bee Gees fan since l was a kid in the 80s. I have them on LP vinyl records. When l got my S10 plus 512GB phone 3 months ago , the first band l wanted to put on it was The Bee Gees . Hopefully l will put all their albums on it.

Hi Kristin! I have a wide variety of tastes in music too. I used to hate the Bee Gees in the late 70's because it was a war between rock and disco back then but now I love it all.

Love The Bee Gees! i like their early stuff the most, they r the greatest songwriters of all time in my opinion, you should def check out "I Cant See Nobody" by them...it's jaw dropping!

I'm from Bensonhurst Brooklyn and we went to the 2000 Odyssey to dance once in a while. The movie made it look a heck of a lot nicer than it was. BUT!! It was the best dance music. Try listening to the Saturday Night Fever sound track!
That takes me way back. The Bee Gees came to hate it because it labeled them a Disco group even though they were putting out hits long before Disco.

You never saw Saturday Night Fever with John Travolta? This is from the soundtrack. Travolta walking down the streets of Brooklyn with two slices of pizza one inside the other. Which know self-respecting New Yorker would ever do. LOL. When my buddies and I were about 18 we used to visit a certain movie theater with three "X's" in the marquis. This dam soundtrack played in that theater every night for 5 years. LOL. And we HATED disco.

Another example of how us Brits helped change the musical world. Said it many a time online how it's us Brits and Americans who really made and changed music. The Brits have been especially good in rock contributions. The top-tier groups are mostly from Great Britain. Beatles, Stones, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, et.al. That's amazing, and I'm not sure why it's the case.
I'll give it to the Germans for classical music. In that era, they were the best.

So this song came out in 1977 when I was in grade school. I always thought it was catchy but kinda long and arrogant ("I'm a woman's man, no time to talk") . It was much later that I learned to love it and how it's my favorite song by a duo or group.

I remember when I watched the movie Saturday night fever in 1977,I was 10 years old, I thought The Bee Gees were a male & female singing group,we didn’t have music videos just the radio or movie soundtracks, so I was surprised to find out it was all male group. I was awesomely surprised

I love the early Bee Gees music! I didn't care for their disco as much, but they were able to adapt to what was going on at the time.They were a very talented group. Barry is one of the best song writers ever. He wrote the theme for the movie Grease, sung by Frankie Vali. Thanks KK!
Remember disco was to all the macho sports fanatics & why people booed it at the sports arenas. Then comes the movie Saturday night fever with their sound track in’. Barry got the last laugh with the the lyrics I’m a woman’s man ... I’ve been kicked around...but I’m stayin alive. With John travolts dancing and bee gees music they suddenly brought disco back how mad were the macho sports fanatics and macho rockers now.
