All the Australian spec Uev 490 and 440 models come with 33” tyres.... this particular trailer had 18” rims to match the customers 200 series Toyota - the main reason of matching the rims and tyres was to allow the wheels to be interchangeable and minimize carrying additional spares... some of the tracks these guys travel are well over -1500km between supplies. The stub axles are custom length for these rims - offset on the 5 stud Toyota rims is way out off centre (+60 from memory) so we had longer axles fitted. The engineers here had already designed axle sizes to suit - so easy enough to just order the length required... the trailer overall had a nice wide stance and was very stable side to side. As far as the larger size tyres I’m afraid I haven’t towed one with smaller sizes so I can’t comment on road manners there :)
