I think this session is the same as one of the "Inna King David Style" Shaka tapes I bought back in the early 90s except the sound quality is a bit better. Wicked Riddims still sound hard, fresh and more relevant now in 2021!!
Woy that "rubber band" style at 7.10!! Murder! I had that shaka tape at the time and i rocked out to that endlessly. In my mind it was Shaka playing synn drum live and changing the pitch as he went but now i listen again maybe that was your dub style russ? Killer rhythm either way...
sargantbrown that tape must be worth more than gold if it’s still out there lol, serious killer dub had heard it on a couple of different dance tapes from that era.
Oh man I was searching for that track too heard on a live tape bought 20 years ago during a Jah Shaka live session. I was about to post a comment when I discovered yours!! That's crazy! I love this tune! Russ make a new version!!
Russ.. First tune, I didn't realise that was one of yours. Had it on a tape I made at the dance and always thought it was a dub of willie Williams pressure but im guessing you had a hand in that?
"Revolutionary style. Year 2000 style" Thanks for this testaments of an Era Mr Russ.
Thanks Russ for the upload. Jah Shaka in his prime as always. Number one. The greatest. Jah guide and protect.
