This happens to me 2 days ago and I feel guilty to fall for that because the document they ask to recover your account is very personal..like passport or wedding certificate..just to verify your identity..honestly I think this is another scam from who ever stole the account
Most likely a scam from who ever hacked the account. I’m in the same predicament, and it happened right after I was reporting a Scammer trying to get people by clicking on what it seems an Amazon job opportunity. I can’t get my account unblocked every since.
Honestly this is Complete BS they should be held accountable i and many others have lost many pictures and memories/ videos with no help from FB, they should have a warning explaining they don’t and won’t help users and pictures may be lost etc…

This just happened to me on April 13th. I assume it was from switching to a new phone but that doesn't make any sense because I switched to a new phone about a week before I was locked out of my account. Other than logging in on a new phone I don't know what I could have did to get locked out? Maybe somebody falsely reported me as being fake because I got into a political debate and they didn't like what I said? But if that's the case wouldn't it mention something about violating community guidelines?

Brian, This is what has happened to me I've tried everything to get back on FB and i get the same as you i'm so frustrated/pissed off and anxious that someone might have deleted all my photos i have been watching a lot of UA-cam vids and this is the best one I've found yet/ i see it was posted in May 2021 it's now Jan 22nd 2022 so you might be back on FB by now if so please tell how it worked. Bro I was locked out of my account and I found your video and it made me give up hope. I was locked out 3 hours ago but now I'm back in my account and this is because I don't take info from anyone. The way I got back into my account was very simple and easy and I even have the video proof to show that I got in within hours of being locked out. First you have to understand that your computer cookies might be blocking the site from even accepting your clicks. I didn't have to send in no ID or none of this that u speak of. All I did was log out if my account , then I did a password reset. After that I went into my second account to make sure the email and numbers match. After that I went to the " can't get into account report " then I told fb what the problem was and I sent my screen shot. After this I just went about my day. When I got into the house and tried to get into my account that screen that said "we have locked you out" said at the bottom " we have confirmed this is your account". So ppl if ur locked out u cam get right back in ur account isn't gone

I was locked out of Facebook as well. They sent a message to me that they would "usually" respond within a day. it has no been two weeks. There is no links and no one I can contact. You try and look for a contact and you're sent to some organization that charges a fee for their service.

When I discovered someone hacked my ad account. I disabled it, did print screens, wrote them a letter and mailed it, they took care of me. I had to verify who I am for about 3 days.
The only solution to retrieve your account is to process the account recovery procedures from the location you mostly accessed your facebook account prior the lockout using the device you mostly used to browse your account. It happened the exact same thing to me last night, and there was no way to confirm my identification because as you said, most of the options were grayed out. This morning, however, i have managed to process the recovery procedures without a single glitch. I believe that they have a very sophisticated algorithm to process account recovery for hacked / apparent hacked profiles.

Typical nonsensical FB help: "How to upload a copy of your ID" 1. With a camera or mobile device, take a close-up photo of your ID in a well-lit room. 2. Yesterday i got my brother's account back after 2 years and I added his email to it so it wouldn't be lost again, then I deleted the old phone number and guess what? They locked me out and denied the ID I sent them because the date on the account is not the same as his real one (only year)
